Dell Concierge service

I am not sure if this is correct forum if not please direct me to the correct one. I am having problems getting help from Dell Tech Concierge service I purchased. I have spent days with at least 15 hours on the telephone and online trying to get them to solve my laptop problem. The problem the Concierge software keeps downloading and checking and removing files repeatedly. Tech support has done many things including uninstalling and installing, and assuring me that they have solved the problem. My laptop is slow and the Windows programs are not working correctly. The program is still interrupting to check and remove and/fix files.  I am very frustrated and angry. I have talked to someone who was supposed to be a ‘ Dell supervisor’ with not results. Where can I go from here is there another place Dell has for solutions? I am thinking of contacting my State *** General.

I also agree with others opinions about fake calls being an inside job. Every time I contact tech support I also start getting fake calls from people who say they are from Dell or Microsoft, they have my Dell information--- they say they see problems on the laptop and want to connect If I hang up sometimes they call back demanding an explanation of why I hung.@##@@$$@!$^&

 


Dell XPS 13 9350 Video and Sound Problems.

Hi

I've had a recent problem with my dell xps 13 (9350) since I've updated to the anniversary version of windows 10

So once I start the laptop, sound does not work even though I still here the buzz of the earbuds when I connect them to the laptop. Videos on the web don't work either. I've tried going on youtube and cnet browsing through videos and they don't work. Interestingly I can still browse other sites like normal If I'm just reading or so. 

If I restart the computer everything is back to normal. However, the problem occurs if I fully shutdown the laptop and then start it up again. 

I've been constantly restarting the laptop every time I start it up, it's getting a tad bit annoying. 

I have the latest drivers for the laptop and I do not want to try to reset it without going through any other possible solutions. 

ARE IT'S NOT ENOUGH DELL?

Dell n5559 16gb of ram is freezing

I just bought a new dell laptop .it is randomly freezing at any time.Even if i keep holding power button it is not switched off,i need to manually remove battery and reinsert it.

I did hardware diagnostics test everything had passed.how do i fix this ?

Dell inspiron 7720 blank screen

Hello!

Few month ago my motherboard had passed away so I've decided to order new one for my inspiron 7720 17R se. Few days ago I've assembled it and hopped that everything will be ok but not.. When I turn on my laptop I see all the lights are turned on (indicators) but the screen is black and blank + the fan isn't working. I've turned off the laptop and held the power button for 15-20 sec and the laptop had turned on but stucked on the windows logon screen and nothing happens... I turned the laptop off again and it hadn't turned on again with the same symptom from the beginning(black screen) after few attempts to turn it on I've managed to turn it on again and ran the diagnostics. the check was successful and the fan was working although the cpu temp was very high 70*c. also the display check was successful (D pressing). what it can be?

Maybe the bios need to be updated? but if so how can I do it if I'm not able to run windows!

Please help!!

Hi,

I need help with my Dell Inspiron N5110. In 6 years, I have never encountered any problem with it except is slowed after a couple of years from the date of Purchase (late 2010) and battery which I removed and never replaced. 

I am not a techie person so please bear with my explanation.

Last week, i have encountered the 8-beeps and blank screen I tried the "D" and power button and it did restart which I thought already back to normal. I shut it down and went to work. The next day, as I turned it on, it gave me the blank screen again and the beeps, unfortunately the "D"-thing wont work anymore.

I am afraid my laptop would resign on me - I cannot afford to lose it. Please I need help - what shall I do?

Touchpad Troubles

I have a Dell Inspiron 5548 and I accidentally deleted my touchpad synaptics. I have been looking everywhere for a new driver and I have not found one. When I go into mouse properties I notice that there is no touchpad tab. I am unable to use two finger scrolling, and gestures, so you can imagine how tedious using the touchpad is. 

Please help!


[XPS 13] Mouse and keyboard lag with D3100 dock

Hi Guys,

i installed the D3100 dock on my XPS 13 and everything works fine, until i had some kind of update on windows10. After this, windows shows the message "display link core software is not available anymore on your pc". I've updated the driver, re-installed the displaylink driver, but since that upgrade, the mouse and the keyboard started to lag in a pretty buggy way.

If i use the laptop without the dock everything works fine.

I'm using Dell wireless mouse+keypad.

Any suggestion?

Dell xps 15 9550 doesn't wake up, after hibernation

Hi everyone, I have an xps 15 512 ssd and 4k display and i7 processor with ubuntu-16.04, from a couple of week, when I try to hibernate the pc and after I try to reopen it, the pc doesn't wake up. And I have to shutdown using power button. I have the last bios version, and 4.4-38 generic kernel version. Thanks.

Inspiron 17R 7720 se blank and black screen when turning on

Hello!

Few month ago motherboard of my 7720 inspiron decided to pass away. suddenly the laptop had turned on and when plugging the AC adapter the blue light indicator turned off. I've understood that the motherboard is broken (after discussing with some technicians as well). recently I've purchased new motherboard and hopped that my laptop will be back to life but it won't...

after replacing with the new motherboard the light indicators are turning on and even the quick access buttons are turning on as well but the screen remains black and blank without the fan working! I've tried the following:

1. turning off the laptop and pressing the power button for 15-20 sec without power plugged in.

it helped but the windows logo got freeze and after rebooting the laptop once again it has returned to the same black and blank position.

2. display check (long pressing D) is OK.

3. I've even ran the diagnostics check and it's OK as well. 

can it be just a bios update issue?

please help me!

Dear Dell Team

I am Balu Wankhade, using dell laptop in office as well as at home. From last month I am facing the issues in the keyboard. 

I called the Dell service center on 02/09/2016. I got the service request number. Details are as below

Your Service Request number : 935554731.

From last approx. one month I am doing follow up with dell team through emails, phone or facebook. I received nice emails from different people in every week. But till date there is no action or support from the dell team.

I observed that there is no system in the dell to support the customer, no one (related to my issues) is working with responsibility.Not bothered about the customers problems.

Escalation methods are not available on the website.  Non of the contact details (email address) provided on the net where we can register the complaints.

With faulty keyboard my laptop become difficult to use which is frustrating me.

Touchpad

Hello,

I accidentally uninstalled my touchpad synaptics pointing driver on windows and can no longer two finger scroll or use any gestures. I have tried updating all drivers from the support Dell page and no such luck. I also checked inside the mouse and touchpad setting and then I press the additional properties and have noticed that there is no "dell touchpad tab". Is there any way that this can be fixed?

Laptop won't come on at all?

Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron M531R-5535 and it will not come on at all. We had it plugged into a surge protector, and there was a brief power outage for about 10 seconds, then when it came back on, the laptop was still playing the sound but the display was black. So we turned it off and it would not reload after that. It was also connected to our TV using an HDMi cable, but now it won't display on the TV either, if that matters. 

It gets worse, because the power button feels like it's stuck down or something? When you go to press it, you can't really tell if it worked or not. So it's hard to hold it down for any length of time, but I know it works when pressed. A light on the side comes on when I try to press it though, and there is an audible clicking/popping sound. (Sounds like someone clicking their tongue, tbh.) It does that repeatedly and at random intervals, and if I try to press the power button repeatedly, it does it more often. But the display stays completely black and shows nothing at all, then it seems to go off and the lights die a few seconds later. We have an older laptop (it does not have an HMDi port though) and tried booting it up with the same AC adapter and it worked. I also tried taking the battery out and putting it back on, but the same problem still happens, so idk what the problem is. 

Does anyone know what I could do to fix it? Taking it to a repair shop is NOT an option either, as we have a serious bug problem and I already know what they'll say. (Judge me if you want but life is not perfect.) But it was working just fine before the storm. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Dell Inspiron 3521 has Blue Screen Error 0xc0000428 on start up

I own a Dell Inspiron 3521 Laptop with Windows 10, bought 2 years ago. Now, it has started acting up and won't boot. 

Whenever I try to boot, it goes into Automatic Repair mode and shows a BSOD with 0xc0000428 saying that the file /driver/amdkmpfd.sys file cannot be verified.

My Laptop won't boot and I can't access anything except the Startup Settings and BIOS. I have tried all options in Startup Settings but none of them work, Safe Mode does not work as well. 

It ran a random test of Dell ePSA and it said that everything is working fine.

I think that it's a Video Card problem. Can I just get my data back without a full restore.
Do note that I bought the laptop and hence did not get a Windows CD to repair my Copy of Windows 10. Any way to repair just the driver instead of the whole OS?

Please help me quickly. Any help is appreciated.

LAPTOP WONT BOOT

Hi Team,

Recently My dell latitude e6330 wont boot up.. after trying to turn it on, diagnostic led is stable and the other two leds are blinking which means memory modules are not detected as said in the guidelines for dell laptops. Ive tried replacing both ram, tried to clean it up, replaced it with ram from working laptops with the same build its still not working, could it be that the motherboard itself is broken? is it possible to fix the said ram slot? if not what are the possible reasons that causes this damage. 

Please reply asap or if any information available dell team.

Laptop lid does not close

Hello all. I have a dell XPS 13 L322X Developer Edition since June 2013. I like it very much and even after all these three years it still is very fast and helps me a lot in my work as a researcher, both at the office and when traveling.

Two things I didn’t like about it was the battery life (+-3 hours on Ubuntu) and the noisy cooler fan, but I had lived with them for all these years. However, a few weeks ago I had to replace the cooler fan because it was very noisy. After replacing the cooler fan I noticed that the battery was draining very fast and that it had just 15% capacity, but I’m not sure the battery capacity was already 15% prior to the cooler fan replacement. Anyway, I removed the battery and replaced it again perhaps hoping that it’d increase the capacity by itself, but it didn’t. However, after removing and replacing the battery I got to a new issue: the laptop lid no longer fully close when I try to and the edge at the front side stays a little bit opened. This makes that while the laptop suspend for while when I close it, it wakes up by itself when I touch any part of the laptop. Would you have any idea what makes the laptop lid fully closed (if there is any magnet or anything else inside it to keep it closed)? I think the suspend/wakes up problem happens because it does not close fully. Any idea? Thanks a lot.

Inspiron 13 (7352) looking for a security cable lock to fit smaller sized locking port

I am trying to get a security cable lock for my Dell Inspiron 13 (7352). The Noble Lock (Dell part A6451164 / Manufacturer part TZ08) does not fit into the slot. The slot on my Dell Inspiron 13 (7352) measures 0.1875" (3/16"). 

Does anyone know what Dell or 3rd party (Noble, Kensington, or other) security lock will fit into the lock port of my Dell Inspiron 13 (7352)?

Possible XPS 15 refresh before Kaby lake?

Hello

Now I know that Dell might not want to give any information about this topic, but I wanted to ask anyway. I will without any doubt buy a new laptop before the end of this year as my current laptop is so unstable that it is a complete no go at any exam.
Kaby Lake quad core CPU's will not be hitting the market before 2017. However the nvidia 1050/1050ti will, to my knowledge, be released in October. Also there has just been a significant(around 100USD) discount on XPS 15(and the old 13) on the Dell website. At least on the danish site.

This leads me to think that a XPS 15 refresh with a 1050/1050ti might come before the end of the year? Is this possible or are there no doubt that a XPS 15 refresh wont happen before Kaby Lake in 2017?
