I'm in trouble, at least 2 times a day I need to restart the laptop, it's nothing to add or go bar to the middle of the screen ...
Already tried everything, updating drivers, windows, restore ..

i bought a new laptop 6 days ago, (Dell Inspiron 15 5000, windows 10, intel core i5-6200U prossesor, RAM 8GB, 1TB HDD)
from day1 at random moments whenever im browsing or watching youtube videos this will happen 
even tho, as you can see in the bottom right i have full wifi connection, whats weird is that when this happens i cant use the wifi on my phone or ps4 either, suggesting its the hub and not the laptop, however i dont think its a problem with my wifi hub as it wasn't an issue until i got this laptop and all 3 lights on the hub stay blue (its a BT home hub 3 in case that helps)
to fix it, all i do is click the wifi icon at the bottom right, disconnect then reconnect and everything works fine again... for a while. however its becoming a pain to keep having to do this multiple times a day.
if anyone has a fix for this or even an idea how to fix it i will be forever grateful its driving me mad [:@]

Does anyone know how I can get Webcam Central?

Last week I had to return the brand new 9350 QHD+ because of the coil whine noise. It was a real pity because I was in love with the rest, but it was simply too loud.
Now I am thinking again what to buy.
Is the design of the new XPS 13 Kaby Lake (9360) solving the coil whine problem?
If yes, I would prefer to wait and buy the new version.

I have a Dell XPS15 9550 with 1TB Hard disk, it is the basic XPS15 Model from 2016. Purchased from Amazon in August 2016.
It makes a noise. Listen to attached mp3 sound file.
The noise happens at 5-9sec, 25-33sec and 45-1:03secs during the recording. It repeats generally lasting 18seconds duration. This was when the laptop is switched on, and only running windows 10, no other programs.
I used a sound recorder on my iphone and when the hiss noise kicks in it reads 58db compared to a normal 45-50db range without the noise.
It is a hissing noise coming from the bottom right corner(facing the laptop keyboard) - where the hard drive is located.
No one at dell support can listen to this file to tell me if it is normal noise or not. I have had dell support remotely update all BIOS and chipset files. We replaced the hard drive for a new one and it makes exactly the same sound. Its not the sound card or speaker. Its definitely the hard disc spinning. Dell support said maybe it was a "capacitor" and it should be sent in for a motherboard replacement???
Please tell me I am not going mad. It is a noticeable noise, you can hear it throughout a large room. When watching a film etc.
Please some answers!
1) What is the noise?
2) Is this normal?
3) How do I get rid of it?
4) If I cant, which XPS15 variant does not have this noise? Is the i7 with SSD quieter?

Past few weeks i have a problem with booting my latitude. If i turn on notebook usually, screen just blink twice and then start to be on still but nothing happened - i include video of this(Please visit the site to view this video)
But i found a solution how to boot. Due FN+POWER i will put notebook into diagnostic and if i quit diagnostic i could restart and then boot properly. I also do a full diagnostic and nothing, everything looks fine. im including also video of this as a proof.

After i did full diagnostic, i also did an BIOS update (just to be sure) to A21 but no change.
Did anyone have experiences with this?
I have a new Dell XPS 13 (9350) that has been updated with the latest drivers. The Laptop has an 1820A Broadcom network adapter. When I cold boot the system I am unable to play YouTube videos, and certain websites and apps do not load. If I restart the computer after the cold boot, everything works as expected. This is consistent -- it happens each time the system is turned off.
Please let me know if you have ideas how to fix this issue so that the laptop connects properly after being turned off - many thanks.
My XPS 15 overheats to a point where it is too hot to even touch the laptop. This happens when I close the lid and leave it sitting for a long period of time. Closing the lid is supposed to put the computer to sleep. However, in my case, It almost gets to a point where it is hot enough to melt things, defiantly burn a child's fingers if you were not careful enough!!
Doing a simple google search tells me this is a known issue, but I am not able to find a fix. I am on Bios version: -1.02.10, 6/30/206
Can someone help? I am really worried the cpu is going to just overheat and melt the components around it.
I purchased the Dell Inspiron 2 in 1 touch screen a couple weeks ago and I have been having issues with it ever since. The computer works fine for several hours and then it just freezes up. The keyboard and touchscreen are both frozen, so I am forced to manually restart the computer. I have a feeling this is only occurring when there is a lapse with internet connectivity. I live in a residence hall and the wifi can be pretty intermittent. Any idea how I can prevent this from happening? Its no big deal when I am just watching netflix, but it happened today while I was working on research for my dissertation. It occurs about once a day now, so its getting to be pretty problematic. Its running on Windows 10 if that helps. I welcome all suggestions!!
I just changed my motherboard, but unfortunately the light Infront of the laptop keeps flashing. It flashes orange 2x and white 1x. Any idea what this code means?
Hello. My work purchased this laptop for me, it is a Dell Inspiron 15-3552. The touch pad is driving me crazy, it is almost impossible for me to type. I would like to disable it. However, there is absolutely NO tab for the touchpad in the mouse settings. None. I downloaded the driver for this touchpad, still nothing. I go to the device manager and there is no indication that there is a touchpad on this laptop. Yet, it works.
This is driving me absolutely nuts. Please help.

Hi, I wanna ask should I install Dell System Software Utility? www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails It's one of recommended and first driver/update in installation order, but I don't know and don't find enoght info about, so don't know install it, or no. Some people say that helps correctly install driver, from other side it's from 2010, and can be outdated? What to do? Windows 7 x64.

Things were working fine. Out of the blue, this happened: when ever I start my laptop, it shows blank black screen for couple of seconds and then directly Windows 10 starts. Dell logo is not showing up.
Whenever I try to open bios menu by pressing F2 or F12 key rapidly just after switching on, screen stuck on blank black screen. I think that bios menu opens but just not visible. What should I do to get it working?
I disabled fast boot in windows, tried booting through UEFI etc.
Hi, recently I just reinstalled windows 10 and I cannot turn on my wifi even if I had installed drivers for Wifi and bluetooth. Here I include a screenshot. I had turned off the airplane mode through Fn+F2 (meaning that the wifi should be on), but at the setting, the wifi was still off. Can somebody help?

Has anyone tried 32GB ram (2 x 16GB) in an Inspiron 17 7000 2-in-1 (7778)? Does it work?
When shopping for memory on the Dell site I found they offer a 16GB module with this system listed as being compatible:

This pleasantly(!) surprised me because it would open up the option to have 32GB ram in total. However, according to the manual the system only supports up to 16GB ram. I suppose that would be 2x8GB ram since it has two slots (DDR4 PC4-17000 2133Mhz). For the processor (i7 6500U) it shouldn't be a problem, Intel specs say it works with up to 32GB ram.
A confirmation would be appreciated!
I've had the Win 7 laptop for a few years, and it's worked faultlessly.
Now the HDMI port no longer works and seems completely dead, VGA port is ok. I've tried several HDMI cables and monitors / projectors. The laptop used to switch the screen off as soon as I plugged in a projector or monitor, that no longer happens, so it's not detecting the monitor or projector at all.
I've been trying to update the graphics drivers without success, I've tried two things:-
1. Went to Graphics device in Device Manager and pressed 'Update Driver', it told me my driver was up-to-date (even though its dated 2011)
2. I went to the Dell driver download page and downloaded the most recent Intel (R) Graphics Family driver (August 2012), but this unzipped to a GUI application that crashed.
So I'm a bit stuck, any help appreciated, thanks

I attempted to do a system reset on my son's new laptop, selecting to keep
his personal files rather than completely wipe everything. That was 4 hours ago. How long would it take to restart? It has been on a black screen with the rotating white loading circle constantly going, for the last 3.5 hours and I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?
My laptop was not starting properly. then started reinstalling windows. once it get installed and then i shut it down. Again it shows the same problem so in started reinstallation of windows. Now i m unable to install windows as it is not detenting any drive of my hard disk. I checked on BIOS, it was showing my HDD but now showing while installing windows.
