first of all I am sorry for my bad English. Now about my problem. I have Dell Latitude 3350 laptop and everytime I search for drivers updates in Dell command update, Intel chipset device software update appears. I installed it, it says "succesfully installed", I restarted the laptop and then it appears again in Dell command update. Details of update: Version 10.1.1.9, A01, release date 17 Jun 2016, filename: Chipset_Driver_320CP_WN32_10.1.1.9_A01.EXE. Filesize 10 MB.
And the same problem in Dell SupportAssist..it shows again and again Intel management engine components installer, version 11.0.0.1158,A00. Filename: Chipset_Driver_78C1C_WN32_11.0.0.1158_A00.exe. Filesize: 98 MB.
So can anybody help me to resolve install problems of these updates, please? Thank you in advance for you reply.

E5470 Biometric unit error
Hello,
I have a new Latitude E5470 leptop and I tried to configurate the biometric sensor. An error accured when I tried to add fingerprint:
The biometric unit is not in the correct state to perform the specified operation.
I read a topic with a same issue and they suggested to reinstall the driver.
I folowed the steps:
downloads.dell.com/.../Update Dell ControlVault Drivers and Firmware.pdf
Unfortunately, I got a new problem, windos said that I dont have Application Manager, so I can not use the Biometric Unit.
Can you help me to fix this problem?

Dell Inspiron 5110 HDMI not working
I've had the Win 7 laptop for a few years, and it's worked faultlessly.
Now the HDMI port no longer works and seems completely dead, VGA port is ok. I've tried several HDMI cables and monitors / projectors. The laptop used to switch the screen off as soon as I plugged in a projector or monitor (and then displayed on the external monitor), that no longer happens, so it's not detecting the monitor or projector at all.
I've been trying to update the graphics drivers without success, I've tried two things:-
1. Went to graphics device in Device Manager and pressed 'Update Driver', it told me my driver was up-to-date (even though its dated 2011)
2. I went to the Dell driver download page and downloaded the most recent Intel (R) Graphics Family driver (August 2012), but this unzipped to a GUI application that crashed.
So I'm a bit stuck, any help appreciated, thanks

E7470 - Which DC Travel/Auto/Air Adapter
Hi - I just got a new E7470 but I am not sure which travel adapter to use.
The AC adapter that shipped with the laptop is 65 watts.
I called Dell, and they told me to use the 90 watt DC adapter.., and said there is no 65 DC watt adapter.
Is it ok to use a 90 watt DC adapter to charge the 7470?

Do I have to restore my laptop with dell backup tool before delivering it?

Windows 7 Enterprise on Skylake/NVMe (Precision 5510)
My corporate office has told me that we will be using Dell Precision 5510 laptops in the future and our office uses Windows 7 Enterprise because we need bitlocker on them. Dell has a fully functional Windows 7 Pro disc which I can download and install with no issues. The BIOS is configured for legacy and the drive is configured in AHCI mode when I do the installation.
If I attempt to install directly from our Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise disc from Microsoft as part of our enterprise agreement, I get the error "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disc, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." This error happens because I have a Skylake based laptop with only USB3 (no USB2). When I attempt to inject the proper drivers into the install.wim and boot.wim files that are in the sources folder I no longer get this error, but the installer cannot see the hard drive unless I change the bios to UEFI and RAID.
Even though the windows installer can now see the hard drive, I cannot install to it. I get the error "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."
I have attempted injecting the MS KB2990941 and KB3087873 into the disc since these are supposed to add NVME support to Windows 7. I change the BIOS back to legacy and AHCI, boot to the updated installation which includes the updates and injected drivers, and I get the "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing..." error again. The difference now is that if I click on browse I can see the hard drive listed and any usb flash drives that are hooked up. I'm not sure what it thinks is hooked up that I'm missing a driver for.
I have even extracted the drivers from the functional dell disk (install.wim and boot.wim) and injected all of them into their respective parts of my Windows 7 Enterprise installer with no success.
I'm looking for help and direction as to what has worked for others or what other options I can try.

Trying to reset the password on and old C400, it is asking for primary or administrator password. I have no idea what to put in there, and can't see if the computer will function at all! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Latitude E7470 Touchpad DragLock Feature Not Working
I have enabled "DragLock" on my Latitude E7470, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
Selecting and dragging behavior is exactly the same with it on as when it is off.
I'm not actually as concerned about dragging as i am about selecting - i need to select large areas of the screen.
on my Latitude E6410, i can double tap to begin drawing a box to select an area.., and when my finger gets to the edge of the track pad, I can lift my finger, move it to the center of the trackpad, and continue selecting the area. Another tap then ends the area selection.
I would like to have this behavior on my new 7470
Is there a problem with TrackLock.., or am I doing something wrong?

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5555. I got it three months ago and it seems to be giving me nothing but trouble.
Within a week of getting it, I kept getting crashes. Sent it in and they replaced the entire motherboard
Sent it back to me and it seemed to be working great until last night
The night before, windows 10 did an update so I let it update while I was asleep. The next night my wife got on the laptop to play on IMVU. 20 minutes after logging in, the computer rebooted.
When it came back on and the login screen came up,
She tried logging in and when she did, the computer froze with a bunch of green lines thrown the screen
Fast forward to two hours on the phone with Dell and countless hard resets, my computer still wouldn't work.
I tried using the flash drive with the partition of Windows 10 because they thought it was an OS issue and I figured why not.
Four tries later and countless crashes halfway through the installation attempt
Now, Everytime I boot up I get the message "no media presence detected" before it goes into preboot hardware inspection to examine memory. It never makes it all the way through before rebooting again
It's also worth noting that I tried using f12 to go to boot options this morning and it even froze there...
Dell is sending me a shipping label but i would like to try to resolve this. I sincerely don't want to lose all the files on my hard drive

The factory default is 6 GB RAM with 2 slots. Slot 1 - 4 GB and slot 2 - 2 GB. I would like to upgrade to maximum memory that it can accommodate.

5558 broken Hinge.
when opening my computer I heard a crack or popping sound. e Opened fine but when I closed the left hinge was broken. The laptop still under warranty. I see many comments about the 5000 series hinges. I need this repaired. I am a college student, studying architecture. I can not send my computer to a warranty center to disappear for a week. All my projects are on my laptop. Looking for a service center and I see that people are having issues trying to get the screw that breaks due to design repaired.
Need a little help with out too much hassle.

Extremely Slow
Hello.
I've had my Dell laptop for about 2 years now..?
I've used it mainly for gaming and even with games like League of Legends it has done extremely well.
A few months ago, I quit games for a while to work harder in school, and since I've come back, the laptop has not been responding as good as it had used to or even near as good. I checked the CPU usage and it was unusually high. It is literally at 76% as I am typing this, the only tab open and only program open. I defragged my laptop last night, but that did nothing. I've tried many other solutions as well as updating software.
These are my specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz

Who do you complain if the DELL India Service is unable to support.
I am not satisfied with Dell India support answers to go with out of warranty services as Dell Inspiron 7537 Laptop had never gone under damage and the laptop is under warranty.
Please advise the email id of team after Dell Director Desk so that they can check the issue at their end.

Inspiron 3147 - Battery draining quickly when lid is closed
Hello,
After updating the BIOS for my Inspiron 3147 laptop, I have noticed that if I close the lid (in Windows 10 it is configured to enter Sleep mode) with my laptop at full charge battery, nothing happens when I press the power button if I had left my laptop unplugged from the power adapter.
In this case I have to plug my laptop in the power adapter and wait to be charged. This wasn't happening before the BIOS upgrade I did in August 2016.
Thoughts?

DELL inspiron 15R-5521 screen replacement
I have the laptop model inspiron 15R-5521 with service tag <Service Tag: Removed as per privacy policy>, and would like to replace the touchscreen. The screen has two groups of vertical white lines, which do not appear on an external monitor, but these lines do appear on the LCD BIST test on all colors, except for white. The screen's glass is also cracked in a few places.
Firstly, can I purchase and install only a replacement glass for the screen? Alternatively, would it be possible to entirely replace the touchscreen with a non-touchscreen, matte display?
