I recently bought a 2nd hand Vostro 3750 and needed to upgrade memory as I run Virtual Box with Several VMS in my daily operations.
Here are my successful test results
Vostro 3750

Install 16GB
2 x Kingston KVR16LS11/8 Valueram , 8Gb ,
204 pin so-dimm - DDR3L-1600 Low-voltage ,
CL11 , 1.35V / 1.5V dual voltage
Bios detected Ram Correctly
OnBoard Diagnostics
Standard system test (~1hr) - 100%
Thorough Memory Test (several hours) - 100%
MemTest86 5.01 (Linux Mint18 Boot)
SPD Identified Kingston SODimms correctly
CPU Clock - 1994Mhz
Memory - 16G - 3819MB/s
Ram 797 Mhz (DDR3-1595) - BCLK:99
Timings: CAS 11-11-11-28 @ 128Bit Mode
My interpretation of this info is :-
Accessing 64 bit ram in Dual Bank mode 128 bit wide
Clocking @ ~800MHZ 2 txfer per clock giving the full ~1600Mhz of the ram
In short we are getting the full performance of the Ram
Overnight Soak Test 100%
Boot Main OS - OK
Mint 18 64 bit (Ubuntu 1604LTS - Linux Kernel 4.4.0-21 )
16GB ram detected OK
Everything seems to work as normal
Happy Camper [:D]
