Hi, I have an N5050, that my original HDD crashed, and I lost everything.  I installed a new SSD 300gb drive, & reinstalled windows 7.  I also installed three drivers;

R307625.exe

N5050A05.EXE

and

R308434.exe.  

The BIOS flashed successfully, and the audio works fine, however the only aspect of networking that may work is the NIC card, which I do not use.  There is NO wireless adapter(s) even present in the device list.

Does it matter in what order they are installed?

Thinking the install order mattered, I tried re-flashing the BIOS, but that failed.

I purchased this unit in December of 2013, and according to the Dell service tag, it is well out of warranty.  Any help, or suggestions, are most certainly appreciated.

I'm sure this has been answered a thousand times.....but I've read thru many responses and not found a solution.

I have a Dell 5520 laptop.  My USB ports do not work.

I downloaded the driver from the website and when I install it the USB's will work.

The issue is at the end of install it says to restart computer.  If I restart the USB's don't work.

I have to re-install the driver.  As long as I don't restart everything works fine.

If I have to restart for any reason then I have to reinstall the driver.

Obviously this is just silly and I need to resolve the issue any advice would be appreciated.

Hello There

I have had my Dell XPS 14Z for around 4 years now, and have got a new computer. In the process of trying to reformat it i discovered the RECOVERY partition. I have reinstalled Windows in the time I have had my laptop, thus removing the recovery tool i need to boot to the RECOVERY. I had a breif look around the forums and tried to use the Dell Backup and Recovery tool (v1.7 or something) and it says that my RECOVERY partition is missing or corrupted. However, i have not done anything to the RECOVERY partition, just to Windows. Do I need a different tool or something or is there not a way to do it anymore?

I had 64 bit Windows 8 and I updated it successfully, but I can only use external mouse now. 

I installed the newest Dell Multi-Touch Touchpad Driver (Input_Driver_YXX3D_WN32_10.1207.101.109_A03.EXE) from Dell support site, but the touchpad is still not working. 

What should I do?

My service tag is <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>

When I press the power button I can hear it loading up and the light comes on. The screen is completely black and then I hear 7 Loud beeps and it pauses and repeat the beeps again and again.  What is the problem and can it get fixed?

Hello.

I have a technical question about the DELL Vostro 5459: Is possible to install  16GB on this notebook and instal SSD?

Nowadays, this notebook has 8 GB RAM (DDR3), I would like to upgrade the memory of this notebook to 16 GB.

Hey,

My Dell V131 won't power on while the internal LCD is attached to the MB. It works fine when I plug in my external monitor and detach the LCD. As soon as I plug in the LCD charger's led turns off. It  still beeps and indicates that there is a problem with the screen when powering on using the external screen.

I've tried swapping out the screen, unplugged all unnecessary components, used another charger, all that regular stuff.

My hard drive has a firmware version DEMB (see below) and an i want to upgrade to new firmware version DEMJ above. But when i do it, it failed because it can not boot into SeaToolLinux (see below). Does anyone face this problem?

Apologies - I'm new to this site although I do have some threads.  Is this site supported by a community of volunteers who try and help with problems or are there any actual Dell representatives who help?   I am having trouble installing a driver on a laptop that I purchased because Dell says it has been certified for Windows 10.  I have had some suggestions on my specific thread but I need support from Dell - is there a specific site where Dell actually help you rather than other users?  Dell must know how the drivers on their web site are installed - I think I need at this stage, if possible, to speak to them directly.  Many thanks.

For my recently bought E5570 Latitude I bought an new/bigger/faster SSD.

It's the Samsung 950 PRO with the PCIe connection and NVMe support.

I have created an Windows 10 install USB to doe a fresh install but windows does not see/detect the drive.

I have checked drives the BIOS and this shows the M.2 PCIe SSD-0 drive, show the system does detect the drive.

Did anyone already come accross this issue?
And if so how did you solve it?

I tried to find drivers to load during setup but did not find any.

hello guys, I think i had a power surge last night at home and two of my laptops died. My XPS LED lights will go on but fan wont spin and screen stays black. I took it apart, removed cmos battery left it unplugged for like an hour and still no luck with it.

I am guessing that the motherbard has been damaged with a power surge since my other laptop died and has the same exact problem.

Where can i find a replacement motherboard? Can i Install the i7 motherboard even tho my xps came with an i5? Does the heatsink and rest of the parts remain the same between the i5 and i7?

Hello,

When i press on the on button on my Dell Vostro 2520 after 5 seconds I hear 3 beeps.
The fans spins, but the laptop wont go on.

What could be the problem? and how to solve it?

I have an inspiron 15 7000 series, that powers on but will display no video.  The monitor backlight comes on and funny thing is that connecting an external monitor works and I can use the touch display on the laptop screen to move the mouse on the external monitor.  So do I have a bad lcd display if the backlight and touchscreen components work or is it another issue?

installed a new HDD. used F2 to create boot order: 

1st USB

2nd CD/

3rd HDD

and saved. however, F12 only lists hard drive, diagnostics, setup

i've a USB with an ISO file and the OS on a disc

but it won"t load

any ideas?
