My company requires a 32bit OS for their software and so I installed a fresh Windows 8.1 32bit.
I installed most of the drivers but unfortunately touch screen doesn't work. I tried using the Dell drivers detect tool but it doesn't detect any drivers.
Does anybody have a Windows 8.1 32bit driver for the touch screen?
Latitude 7350 2 in 1 When reattaching the tablet to the keyboard you have to shut down the computer in order to use the USB ports. How do you fix this problem?

I have a Latitude E5520 with a Sandy Bridge mainboard that says model 03PH4G, BIOS version A02. I would like to upgrade it with a Samsung SSD and increase the ram from 4 to 8 or 16gb. Does anyone know if the laptop is compatible with this stuff? Also, does it support DDR3L or should I get normal DDR3?

Is Windows 10 installed on the hard drive or the 128gb SSD on this laptop?
If it is on the hard drive, who can it be transferred to the SSD to speed up booting, etc?
Or will I have to reinstall Windows 10 on the SSD afterwards?

Hi guys I relieved my inspiron 7559. It's a factory refurbished bought from ebay. At first, it works perfectly fine, until I installed the bios driver from the dell support driver site. The laptop's wifi and also Bluetooth cease to work right after the driver update. Then I decided to reset the windows. Guess what? Now my laptop is completely useless. The installing windows process is stuck at 67% for the past hours. It would restart then get to 67% and repeat... help please!!!
My 1TB HD failed on my Inspiron 15R special edition (7520). I had to get a new hard drive. It doesn't seem like the 32GB mSATA flash SSD is working anymore.
Suggestions for how to get the 32Gb SSD working again?
I am at a loss.

Ever since I bought it last week, this issue has been annoying me. Sometimes, I have to take the battery out and put it back in in order for the laptop to start. I have checked the connectors, and they aren't dirty or clogged or anything. I think something is wrong, and it is pretty annoying. Other than that, everything works fine.
I am using a different cord that goes from the power brick into the wall, but the part that goes into the laptop is the one it came with. I really don't feel lke moving my desk to plug in an identical cord to the one already there. Is this bad or anything?

Currently I did purchased Windows 10 Pro 64bit and I Placed it on USB Flash Memory using Media creation tool by Microsoft.
I'm looking forward to clean install it with formatting the all hard drives ( 1tb hdd + 32gb ssd ) and then configure the intel rapid storage technology for the default setting.

since a few days i own a new XPS 13 9350 and i noticed two problems
first:
according to the documents it should have a 57.5 Wh battery (construction-capacity).
as measured by Battery Bar and Dell Support Assist my battery has fully charged "only" 53.5 Wh battery capacity or even a loss of capacity of 6.9% at delivery ....
second:
i fully charge my battery (= 100% charged) and turn of my XPS complete. after two days i turn it on again and battery is just 90% charged. a loss of 10% while doing nothing... :-(
same effects with your XPS13?
My dell inspiron laptop got switched off and it is not turnin on, as soon i connect the charger in the laptop the led in the charger goes off

Was getting the message on start up: " The AC power adapter
wattage and type cannot be determined.
Please connect a Dell 65W AC adapter or greater for the
best system performance"
I have now purchase a new Dell AC Adaptor (90w) and have ran
the diagnostics (F12 on startup) and all pass the test
(including the battery and new AC unit).
The computer is still stuck on black screen with just a blinking
cursor (although the AC Adaptor message has stopped).
I assume the battery is now completely flat. Some have suggested
booting into safe mode, but I can't even get into that.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a dell xps 15 ( l502x) bought 4.5 years back. I wish to upgrade the laptop in whichever way possible. Here is my current specs : i7 processor, 6 GB RAM, NVidia 525M graphics card, Network card Intel wireless N1030, 500GB HDD ( upgraded to 1TB ).
What all can I upgrade from this specs? HDD is already upgraded, next I will be upgrading the network card, as my system doesnt support 802.11ac. I am planning to upgrade it with Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.
what else can be changed? is motherboard upgrade required to improve the system performance? although the system is handling the day to day applications with occasional slowdown of whole system. Yesterday the system slowed down to a state where audio was breaking.
Please let me know what all can be done.
I'm kind of a nube to the Windows world, I've been using Macs for the last 25 years and I'm switching to Dell. A new XPS 15 9550 should arrive on my front porch any day now. A lot of folks suggest reinstalling windows on new machine but I'm not sure why. I get the desire to remove bloatware but there must be some useful software on a new Dell machine that I might really need. What's the consensus here, what would I gain, what would I loose?
I recently reinstalled Windows 7 on the laptop and replaced the mouse circuit board and now the laptop won't power on. The first time I tried to power it on (with charger plugged in) the white LED light would blink if I wiggled the charger cord but went off as soon as I hit the power button on the laptop (heard a zap noise). Tried it again and now Nothing at all happens, white light doesn't come on or blink at all and the laptop doesn't make any sounds. The green light on the charger is lite so I don't believe it is a problem with the adapter. Everything was functioning fine prior to reinstalling Windows.
What I tried so far: Unplugged charger, removed battery and held power button, drained battery, tried powering it on plugged in without battery. Checked for loose cables, power connector seems fine. The plastic retainer/latch that locks the media board connector to mother board is broken off but this was broken before I had the issue and I didn't have any problems. Could the Media Board Connector be causing a power issue?
If you think it is some kind of power supply issue, whether it be battery, DC Jack, Adapter how can I test these to pin point the issue so that I know what needs to be replaced instead of purchasing parts that don't need replacing?

Does anyone know if there is more to this article? If so, how do I view it?

Hi, I have an N5050, that my original HDD crashed, and I lost everything. I installed a new SSD 300gb drive, and reinstalled windows 7. I also installed three drivers; R307625.exe, N5050A05.EXE, and R308434.exe.
The BIOS flashed successfully, and the audio works fine, however the only aspect of networking that may work is the NIC card, which I do not use. There is NO wireless adapter(s) even present in the device list. Does it matter in what order they are installed? Thinking the install order mattered, I tried re-flashing the BIOS, but that failed.
I purchased this unit in December of 2013, and according to the Dell service tag, it is well out of warranty. Any help, or suggestions, are most certainly appreciated.
