hello i have this Dell Inspiron 5758 with this performances 
PROCESSOR Mobile DualCore Intel Core i7-5500U, 2900 MHz (29 x 100) 
RAM 8102 MB (DDR3-1600 DDR3 SDRAM) 
4 GB DDR3-1600 DDR3 SDRAM (11-11-11-28 @ 800 MHz) 
4 GB DDR3-1600 DDR3 SDRAM (11-11-11-28 @ 800 MHz) 
GPU NVIDIA GeForce 920M 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 64-bit 
And im trying to play Farcry4 and i have lag, what do i need to upgrade to get less lag upgrade memory or upgrade processor?, is the video card good enough for this game? 
OS is wondows 10 64 bit professional 
All drivers are up to date

Hi,

I bought my Vostro 5460 laptop in Singapore more than 2 years ago. Recently the battery stopped charging and I got in touch with Dell India customer care since as I am living in India now. They said I need to replace it with a new battery as its life is over. But they came back saying they do not have any stock and I have to find it with a dealer in the market. I have been trying to find one in the online stores and no one has this battery. I have called Dell India again couple of times but they are not helping me on this, they don't reply to the emails I send to the customer service.

I want to know how to procure a new battery for this model now. Also I think Dell India should do this for me.

Inspiron 15 5558 Win 10

Sometimes when typing i press key and nothing appears if i press it  again sometimes character appears else i have to press key again until it shows up.

Other times it works great.

Hello there,

i encounter a problem with my laptop.

In the left side it have two usb ports and after one hdmi port, when i press with my hands in this point the screen fills snow, then, laptop restarting and everythings good.

Please i need your advice to resolve this.

Hi Guys!

Need your assistance with this issue. Last night I used my laptop for watching movies and I properly shut if down after. The next day it won't boot-up or start. No Dell logo appearing on the screen. I already tried removing the battery and pressing the power button for 30 seconds. Still not powering up. I've also notice that everytime I pressed the power button a weird small buzz sound on the dvd-rom area.

I have a Dell Inspirion Laptop.  When I plug the charger into the wall (before I plug the charger into the laptop) the green light for the charger comes on.  As soon as I plug the charger into the laptop, the green light goes out.  This has occurred using two different Dell chargers for the same model laptop.  As a result, the laptop is not running at all.  I tried to test the two Dell laptop batteries I have for voltage using a multimeter.  I used the following technique.   The red lead for the multimeter is put on the positive terminal on the battery.  The black lead for the multimeter is put on the negative terminal for the battery.  One end of a jumper wire is attached to the pin for the black lead on the negative terminal and the other end of the jumper wire is place into each of the other terminals one at a time.  I learned this technique from a YouTube video.

Does anyone have an idea what my problem is and how to solve it?  Is there another way to test the laptop batteries?  I have read another posting where under similar circumstances Dell replaced the motherboard of a 2 1/2 year old computer to solve the problem.

Hello, I bought a laptop DELL INSPIRON 5520, I always had problems with my hard drive I changed it 2 times and now this error again.

Error code 2000-0142

Validation 105015

Msg: Hard drive 0 - S/N S2WZJ90C602917

So can u explain me why it happens always and what can I do with this situation

Freezes up randomly. Cntrl/alt/del will not restart. Ran diagnostic and virus scan. Nothing found. Reinstalled windows 7 still does it.

Hello.   I have an inspiron 5720 and my hard drive failed so I replaced it with a new one from dell and now I can't get windows vista to load (which came with the computer)  I canged to boot mode to load from cd drive and it starts loading (windows is loading files) and then when the microsoft corp bar comes up it immediately goes to the BSOD....the bios in this system iis not fully acpi compliant.      Can someone please help me solve this.   Thank you in advance

I'm having a problem with a static-like crackling noise coming from the speakers on an E5550 whenever I play audio. I don't hear any crackling if I plug in a headset to the headphone jack.

I'm using the A06 audio driver (Audio_Driver_0VFFR_WN32_6.0.1.6075_A06).

Any suggestions?

Hello,

I've just purchased a refurbished Lattiude E6320. The laptop is in great condition and works fasts. But, since the day I got my laptop, the battery light never stopped blinking. 4 rapid amber/orange blinks and 1 white a little longer and starts again.

As soon as I plug the laptop to the AC, it starts blinking. It also blinks when I remove the battery and use only the AC adpater. Same thing if I use only the battery without the ac adapter.

I've tried other batteries that I know are in working condition and I got the same results. I even put my new battery from the laptop I just got on another laptop and it won't blink.

I've ran the dell utilities post boot, and no error on anything. The battery so far is charging and can last 3-4 hours. It's really annoying since it's supposed to be a gift... again, everything is working normal, except this darn light!!!!

I even updated my Bios to A19 and same thing... anyone had this particular issue? The only time it won't blink it's when the laptop is off without being connected to the AC adaptor

I am asked to do a start up repair.  I do so and the start up repair just runs without end.  It says Windows is loading the files, it starts the repair process but nothing happens.

Hi,

My Studio 1747 shuts down when the AC adapter is unplugged. The battery is charged and also charging when partially full. It also works fine without a battery. It also starts and functions without the AC adapter.

So basically it works with every combination of power sources. Only, immediately shuts down when unplugged. (but not like unplugged without battery. It just takes its time to shut down properly like when the battery is critically low)

When the AC adapter is plugged in, the white led above the plug blinks, then it is orange.

What do these colors and blinks mean? I have looked quite a bit, but couldn't find a proper list of what these light signals mean.

as you knew that laptop usually came with Dell Manufacturing default configuration & installation. 

Basically I'm looking to clean install windows 10 and configure everything from the beginning by my hand.

I did purchased windows 10 Pro from microsoftstore.com and I did used media creation tool to put the windows on USB.

Then I did restarted the laptop and I pressed F2  there's 2 options for resetting the setting  ( first one for bios settings & second one for manufacturing settings ) so I did reset the 2 for the default setting.

then I pressed on F12 and I logged using the USB and I did started the windows 10 installation and during the installation process ( I hadn't found the 32GB SSD driver !! so I did some research from my iPhone and I was able to understand that I should press F12 and log in inside " device configuration " which showing intel rapid storage technology and I did removed the acceleration from both 1tb hdd & 32 ssd and right now the intel rapid storage technology appearing not configured at all.

and then I went ahead and formatted the whole 1tb hdd using the windows 10 installation windows and I did installed it on the 1tb hdd.

my questions here :

1- what is X Driver which appearing if I press on load driver in windows 10 installation windows ?

2- how come that I still see intel rapid storage technology if I pressed f12 and log inside device configuration ? are the intel rapid storage technology and dell support assist is built in with bios or what?

3- what the different in bios screen if I reset bios setting or manufacturing settings ?

4 - how to update Intel rapid storage technology version which appearing inside f12 ?

I need someone which had the same model or had enough experience to tell me how to clean install everything from A To Z. I need to understand the system which I'm using :(

I have a recently-purchased (from Dell) Latitude 3340, refurbished, that occasionally repeats keypresses, especially during rapid typing. The worst offfender is the spacebar, but other letters also repeat - "n" in particular. I saw one other post here that described a similar issue and suggested that a BIOS update would help, and I tried (taking it from A09 to A10), but it did not work - I'm still seeing the repeated characters.

Has anyone had any luck with a fix? Is this a hardware issue?

I have given up on this laptop as the UHD screen means incompatiblle applications such as Adobe apps to name a view appear in very very small boxes. I've tried everything including disabling incompatible dpi and using a redirecting apps to use a manifest file which tells it to sacle/or not to scale applications. In the end its just too much trouble and i need to return it.

Unfortunately as i added an m.2 ssd drive and moved the OS to it, it appears that i must have deleted the  partition with the recovery image that was on the original 1Tb HDD. In disk manager, i can see the other partition but don't have the One Time Boot option and the option to retore factory image just results in an error.

I have been able to install Windows using an ISO but that does not install the original applications or drivers. Is there any other way to restore the partitions? Does anyone have a clone of the factory image? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

One Day my computer froze and wouldn't turn back on for a little bit so I shut it and gave it sometime then I tried to turn it back on and a big blue screen popped up saying "Your Computer Needs To Be Repaired" then it gave me the option to try and do a debugging or a boot up program so I did a debugging to see if that would work then I tried to turn it back on and words popped up in the left hand corner saying "Media Check: Failed Media Check: Failed" So I was like huh that's not right so I tried again and that happened again. so I let it rest again for a little bit and then I tried again and it got to the point of my trying to charge it so it wouldn't die and during this time I did try popping out the battery to see if that would help at all. but when I plugged in the charger it made the charger make a hissing sound so I unplugged it and then the computer made a like sizzling and hissing sound and I closed it and let it rest again. then I tried AGAIN and this time words came up in the left hand corner saying "No Boot Device Found: Press Any Button To Try Again" so I pressed a new button about 20 times and that same message just kept popping up and im thinking about getting a new computer iw as just wondering if this laptop needs to be retired now or should I try and get it checked out cause in my experience with computers this has never happened and im just at the point of giving up.
