I recently updated to windows 10 from windows 8.1. My Dell is only about 2 weeks old. Today I accidentally pressed on the battery icon and saw this. What's that battery 1 ? Will it have any negative effect on my laptop ?

Cannot find the Touchpad Driver to download for my Latitude D630
My Latitude D630 came with Windows Vista x86 OS, and I upgraded to Windows Vista x64 OS. The Touchpad works but not very well. So I look for the Touchpad driver for the Vista x64, However it not given in the Drivers Download of the Support by Product. I wonder how I can get the Driver?

Two Latitude E5540's not connecting to the network.
We have two Latitude E5540's that aren't connecting to our LAN. The wifi cards are working fine but for some reason both do not connect. Is anyone else having a similar issue? The Intel (R) Ethernet Connection I218-LM in Device Manager are listed and seem to be working but whenever we plug a cable we cannot get them connected.

laptop won't post black screen
Hi I am experiencing a major problem with my Latitude E6410 laptop. When I press the power button the battery and charging light flash once and the computer makes a clicking noise. I used it yesterday morning and it was working fine, i had no error messages when it was running and it shut down like normal. I tried to use it last night and it just wouldn't turn on.

Corrupt 1/27/16 Drivers for XPS 9550
So Dell issued two new drivers today for Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework and Intel 100 Series Chipset Driver both dated 1/27/16 at 3:08:47am
When you follow the link and download - my 9550 report they are both corrupt and to not install.

XPS 9343 spare battery questions
I want to extend the charge/hold of my battery. Can I replace my 4-cell battery with a 9-cell? Will it fit the chassis? I've been offered a Dell 9-cell compatible with the 9343 but I want to make sure it would fit / work. Thank you.

4 Beeps Error DELL XPS L701
Hello all I need some help with my Laptop which sometimes randomly shuts down and then when I try turning it back on gives me a 4 beep error code which I understand to be some type of RAM failure. It happens at random and I want to fix it because I game a lot on the laptop and it gets annoying when it randomly shuts off. I have tried reinstalling the RAM and nothing has fixed it. This error doesn't happen at startup like on other posts but at random when I'm on the laptop. The laptop has 8 GB and a good processor and graphics card so I don't understand why this is happening. I recently updated some drivers because I thought that may be the issue but the only thing that fixed was the bsod's I was getting. Please help and I'm wondering if I need to buy new Ram
I had this issue about 6 months ago and came to this forum and was recommended to update BIOS, it solved the problem for a few months but now I'm getting this same error again.

Laptop won't turn on
Hi I have an Inspiron N5110 that will not turn on. When connected to the ac adapter the indicator lights won't even come on. The computer was working fine, then turned off and would not power back on. I've tried to remove the battery and hold down the power button for 30 seconds, but nothing changed. Please help.

8 beeps on startup inspiron 5520
My inpiron 5520 beeps 8 times pause then repeats with a black screen on start up
. according to what I have read this could be a lcd problem,
but is a little bit different than the others I have read. If I close the lid and open it again, it starts up fine, sometimes I have to do this a few times, so that indicates that it's not the screen and I'm really afraid to open it all up to get to the lcd cable. It happens every few days.

Inspiron 14z 5423 Optical Drive Not Working
Hey all,
I have a inspiron 14z 5423, and i just tried to open the optical drive today and it is not responding. When I go into My Computer, it does not even show it as available (cd drive/d drive) when it used to.
Any ideas on if this? I would hate to have to buy another drive since this one barely got used.

NO BOOT DEVICE FOUND after download Windows 10 upgrade
My Dell computer was just a year old December 14-2015 and now unable to use the laptop as tells me no boot device found. I am not sure what has occurred and not sure what needs to be done to fix the laptop. Now I have a laptop I cannot use.

question about network adapters
I have a dell precision m6400 700gb hd, 8gb ram.
I reinstalled windows 7 32bit about 1 month ago from a iso I got from digital river a while back.
the reinstallation came with a wifi network adapter driver called "Intel(R) wifi link 5100 agn".
I guess it was preinstalled in the iso. and I currently have it installed on my pc.
I don't have problems with it, but I was wondering do I need to upgrade it?
should I keep the network adapter I have installed? or upgrade from 1 of these and which one(s) do I choose.

L502X Is this a genuine battery or it was a scam?!
Hi,
20 days ago i bought this battery that was sell to my as genuine original DELL battery, when I received it I noticed it looked a lot like an alternative (non genuiene) battery I had previouslly as i still have it around. Also I still have the battery that came with the laptop and this new one doesnt look alike.
Well, the situation is that this new battery is failing already after 20 days of use, and the seller offer me to change it for another one, but I'm not sure if i want that if I will receive a battery which is not original, also I paid for it around 90 dollars.

I have an Inspiron 15, 5000 series laptop. I think I hit the wrong key and now only part of my keyboard keys work. The Caps button doesn't work either.

Unable to Burn DVD

Unable to switch on my laptop
