Dell Inspiron 7347 Paint
I have a Dell Inspiron 7347 13.4" Laptop. After about 1 month, the paint on the left side of the touchpad got chipped off. So now there is a huge ugly round brown/gray spot where I put my hand. Is there anything I can do/buy to fix this?

Dell Precision 6800 Screen is no longer working
About a week ago, when I turned on my laptop the screen displayed vertical banded static.... the computer sounded like it was starting, it was just the display that was screwed up. Now the screen is just completely white when starting up. I have attached my computer to an external monitor via HDMI cables... and the computer starts up and runs perfectly fine.
My laptop is still under warranty, so i would like to send ity in for repairs. Does anyone know of an address where I can send this thing?

Inspiron Computer Hangs and Recovers
I have an inspiron 7437 that I upgraded to Windows 10 several months ago. I have had an issue shortly after I upgraded with system freezes about 30 seconds to 1 minute long. During this time I can usually move the mouse and audio gets stuck in a loop. The fans begin to slow down and when the computer becomes unstuck there is a clicking that sounds like it comes from the hard drive. After the freeze the event viewer always lists error Event ID 129, Source: iaStora with the details Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued. I have a 32msata cache + 500GB HD. I have attempted a clean install (deleted all files and apps and reinstalled windows 10) and the issue occurred without installing any drivers or any software. I then tried updating all drivers through dells website include Intel RST and intel management engine interface (windows 10 did a pretty good job at updating most drivers automatically). Oh and my BIOS is up to date with A10. The problem still persisted. I have run check disk and DISM which seems to be Dell's go to answer. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver. Does anyone have any ideas? Very frustrating problem that I have searched the internet extensively with no luck. I have attempted changing power setting as well with no luck. Thanks for any help!

Inspiron 1520 Continuous Beep and Keyboard malfunction
Hi,
I am using Dell Inspiron 1520 and I am recently facing an issue in startup. BIOS beep is continuously coming in negligible interval and is moving automatically to select "Internal HDD". After going to windows the "down arrow" is continuously pressed and left corner keys like "esc" "1" are not working.
On connecting external keyboard also the "down arrow" issue is not getting recovered.

Dell Inspiron 5447
I'm wondering if the non-backlit version of the Inspiron 5447 still has spill resistance, because I remember spilling water a few months ago. The laptop functioned perfectly, aside from some minor keyboard pressing issues. Nowe I'm getting charged $600 for liquid damage not a device I think has spill resistance.
I just want to make sure if the non-backlit version has this, so I can tell them liquid damage won't do anything to the laptop. If possible, please source the site that said it's true.

Problem on Dell Inspiron Laptop please help
i just bought a used dell inspiron laptop, the series is 1440 T-6500 core 2 duo.. but when i tried to start it before it enters the bios there's a warning that the battery is not detected well i guess only the battery is broken then not much problem but when i continued to the dekstop there's more problem than i could imagine
the laptop's os is win7 professional and it was not even genuine so i tried to reinstall the os using my genuine win7 ultimate disc but when i insert the cd to the dvd drive it was not detected!! tried using USB flash drive and it wasn't detected either, and i tried external optical drive too but again it is not detected. (even though it seems connected, i can open / close the disc tray and the light is on or beeping)
so i checked devmgmt.msc in the command but there's no problem at all, no error warning on the DVD drive and other usb ports... so i wonder why is everything not detected? i can't install anything like this
i have tried to run the optional boot in the bios (by pressing the F2) but when i selected boot via DVD Drive it just skips to the default win7 professional, so i assume the dvd drive is not detected too even in the bios?? what's the problem here?

Alienware 15 Dead On Opening: "Check Cable Connection! PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM"
I have a brand new Alienware 15 laptop that I bought for my college freshman daughter who will (hopefully) be using it for her Graphics Intensive coursework. She opened up the box and we can't get it to boot up. I get the error message shown in the subject during boot process. It has never booted up.
I have reviewed the boot sequence and it has the HD first. I have run the diagnostics from the startup screen and all pass. I am now doing an overnight full HDD diagnostics test, so will know in the morning if there is a bad HD that shows up.
Obviously this is a disappointment. Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas? I expect to get with Tech support, but find out that they only work via phone and I am guessing that over the next many days, it will be a disaster trying to get through. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated as I need to get this thing running before my daughter gets back to school.

Video Resolution Keeps changing
Hi , i am using Dell N4010 Inspiron , few months back i got problem in my cooling fan so i got it replaced , but since the time i got it replace it gave me a new problem , now after every few minutes the screen resolution from standard 1366x768 keep changing to 800x600 and this keeps changing back to normal . I tried changing windows , updated all drivers, changed all drivers changed graphic video setting but nothing is helpful . I am fed up with this . Please if some one can help me out .

Dell Precision m4700 keeps restarting
My dell precision m4700 has developed a fault where it will restart over and over until I remove or the battery is fully depleted. I have run all of the extended hardware diagnostics from the BIOS F12 and nothing has been flagged.
This happened about 6 months ago and the problem persevered for about 2 weeks before seemingly sorting itself out. It has now reappeared and is driving me insane.
It seems arbitrary as to how long it will be before the boot loop starts. Sometimes I can be on the laptop for minutes, other times for hours. Once the boot loop starts, pressing the power button achieves nothing and the only way to stop it is to remove battery as stated above.
I am fully up to date with win 10 updates and use the dell update utility to make sure that my drivers are up to date. Any ideas on what it could be will be gratefully received.

Dell XPS 13 9343 - Double Spacing and Touchpad Issues
Dear all,
I love my XPS 13, but I've been having two main issues that are bugging me like crazy.
1) Double Spacing:
When typing (especially when typing fast), a double space is registered at least once in every two sentences. I've already read about other people facing the same issue, is there any solution for this problem out there?
2) Touchpad Issues:
Every once in a while, the touchpad will just stop working randomly. It starts out with the cursors starting to frickle and making small jumps on-screen and two-finger scrolling stopping to work and after a couple of minutes the touchpad is completely unresponsive. A reboot always resolves this issue, but it is still super annoying. Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

I've dell Inspiron 7537 with DELL Docking Station USB 2.0.
I can use it only if disable the NVIDIA Graphic Card and use Intel Grapic Card as default.
anyone know how to use the docking with the NVIDIA graphics card active?

Disk 100% usage, Factory reset? (Inspiron 15R 5537)
Hi, I have 2 questions to ask:
1.For the past couple of months my pc on start up, and at random other points would spike to 100% disk usage, slowing down my pc considerably. I've ran Diagnostics, dells support scan, Chkdsk/f/r etc But nothing has worked. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
2. If I don't find the cause of this problem I'm going to do a reinstall of windows, to make sure this isn't a software issue (if it isn't i'll go on to buy a new HDD). How do I go about successfully reinstalling windows? I have windows 8.1 installed automatically with the Laptop, but I have no product key, will it install and activate windows automatically?
