I have a new 2 in 1 xps 13 7359. After it goes into to sleep mode the physical windows button on the screen stops working when it wakes up. It wont work in tablet mode and it won't work in laptop mode until I reboot the machine. Any ideas how to fix this? I have the latest drivers and bios.

Dell Latitude E5450 CPU temperatures
I would like to ask some owner of Latitude E5450 with i7 5600U and GT840M if he could post here his idle / stressed CPU temperatures.
I am unsure whether my temperatures are okay - I can't get under 50°C when idle and 80-95°C during stress test. I've had fan replaced, it helped a little, but these temperatures still seem a bit high to me. And before I'll have the motherboard + CPU replaced, I would like to have something to compare to.
Ideal app for this testing is OCCT or Prime95 + RealTemp.

Dell E6510 boot failure inquiry
I have an E6510
Win 7 x86 32 bit Professional
Intel Quad Core i5
NVidia Quadro GPU
Free Fall HDD Protection
7200 rpm HDD (not SSD)
Full details unavailable as it will not boot, but I have what I think is a quick question. It was on and running. We had a tremor and it fell off my bed onto the floor, which is about a 1 meter drop onto a carpeted and padded floor. The screen went black, but I could hear the system running and the fan also. I tried to reboot it. The BIOS screen loads and the monitor appears normal. It never gets to the Windows screen. After the BIOS screen, it goes black and hangs. I have the install disk and tried booting from it, but it only wants to reinstall the OS and then cannot find a HDD. I run system diagnostics from the BIOS screen and all tests pass, except the HDD, which is not found.
I removed the HDD and using an e-Sata connector, plugged it into another computer. It mounted perfectly and all the partitions and files are there and usable. I ran a hardware test on it using the other computer and it passed.
I tried remounting it securely into the E6510 and still nothing. I am now assuming the internal cable to the MOBO came loose during the fall. Does that sound logical and/or what else should I try? Thank you in advance. Chris

Brand new Inspiron 7000, touchpad is wonky (no right click), driving me NUTS!!!
This laptop just came in the mail the other day and I'm otherwise very pleased with it: The processor is snappy, the 4K HD display is gorgeous, and as much as I never thought I'd use it, the touch screen is pretty cool too. There is, however, one thing that is driving me absolutely CRAZY: The right click function of the touchpad is not working properly. For every ten times I try to right click, it might work once. The other 9 times it acts like a left click. I've tried changing the settings in the control panel, with no success. I think it's probably related to the fact that the whole touchpad is designed to act as a giant left button. I'm getting the feeling this is a design problem and not an actual malfunction, but I just thought I'd check here before packing it up and sending it back to Dell. This is a deal breaker for me: I use right-click religiously while surfing the internet. I will be reading an article and will right click on an interesting link and open in a new tab so I can continue reading the original article without interruption, but with this computer 90% of the time I try to do that it acts like a left click and simply opens the new link, making the article I was just reading disappear. Even worse, I also use the computer for image editing, and right clicks are very important for this because left clicks and right clicks give two different "ink" colours or effects. Because I do image editing the first thing I do is disable "tap to click", because I don't want to touch my finger to the touchpad and end up with something I didn't want in my image, but this right click problem is present no matter what settings I choose. This is driving me batty! So my question is this: Is there any way to make this touchpad act like a normal touchpad with two buttons, or am I going to have to send the machine back and revert to using my four year old HP Pavilion G7?

Dell Latitude D630
I bought the Dell D630 refurbished online in March 2015 as a gift for a older friend who wanted to learn about computers. Yesterday he called me and told me that he can't start it. When i talked to him he said he had been on it that day with no problems, had tuned it off. When he went to turn it on later, he got nothing. He has the power display lit and the battery charge lit, but nothing shows on the screen, no Dell logo anything. I came over and tried to boot tapping the F12 key, got nothing, also tried holding the Fn key before powering it up, still get nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

HI. i bouht dell 7547 at the cowboom by using dilivery service to get this in Korea.
Dell bundle software recommand to update newest bios and i tied...
but i saw that fan blasted full speed , windows 8 was down with stopped screen.
i should turned it off . after then i couldn't do anything.
In Korea, i can't use dell support service.
so i tried to go to private fixing service. they said that we need rom? file to write down bios to flashrom fixed in motherboard.
they don't have any way to get bios file.
can i get file for bios flash? they use romwriter. plz help me.

Odd behavior in single USB port Inspiron 7537
I have a problem with a single USB port (the motherboard based port) closest to HDMI in my Inspriron 7537.
The system will not boot windows 10 with a logitech mouse dongle in the port (hangs at spinny circles)
The system will not read all USB drives, in this one port, but will read some
The system will boot with logitech mouse dongle in any other USB port, as any other USB port will read all USB drives.
I have none of these issues with Linux.
The fact that it is only one port suggests this port is taken some damage along the way, although I'm not sure I had ever tested it like this before, may have been from day 1. I can't explain why Linux might be more tolerant.
I have updated to most current firmware
Has anybody seen anything like this before?
I find the dell support site impossible, but are new motherboards still available for this model (I have had problem with ebay refurbs in the past)

Dell inspiron n5010 balck screen 3 beeps
Hi , i have a 5 y.o Dell inspiron N5010 core i3 3gb Ram. A few months earlier the laptop started displaying this problem. If however after waiting for a few days an attempt was made the laptop did start up. Recently i had the motherboard replaced & it worked fine for 2 days, however today the same problem reoccurred. Waited for a few moments and drained possible flea power and the laptop did start up again.3 beeps continuously with black screen,
Will this problem persist ?I had chipset, ram checked and motherboard replaced but i feel as if the next time i start my laptop it'll show the same problem. My laptop warranty is void. i'd be grateful for any solutions.

Dell Latitude E5450 SATA RAID Floppy Drivers
Hello all.....I need help with this Laptop in that I'm trying to boot it from a ASUNSOFT made bootable Flashdisk so as to reset a password for the admin account. I've done this many times before with no issues on many other Laptops and Desktops. However on this Laptop it crashes when it starts running the Windows PE software with a BSD! I've also seen this many times before so I just usually need to install the 3rd party drivers for the HardDrive and controller. However when I go to the dell website and download the Floppy version of the Drivers for the SATA Controller and use them and press F6 while booting from the Flash Drive it gives me an error saying "TXTSETUP.OEM not Found" and cannot continue. Has anybody come across this before and if so how did they get around it. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays to all!

I was having the problem from the last few months that my 90W charger was not being detected.
So, I bought new Authentic Dell Adapter and Battery for my laptop.
But, the error is still showing and my new battery is still not charging from my new adapter.

Inspiron 15 5558 - touchpad covers buttons, which is annoying
This is a new laptop with Windows 10 already on it. The trackpad works, but the cursor can be moved when pressing on the buttons. This makes clicking on an item very difficult as the cursor moves once the button is pressed, causing me to click on the wrong item or nothing at all.
There doesn't appear to be a touchpad program for Windows 10. If there were, I would hope that Dell would allow the area used for sensing touch to be outside of the buttons to eliminate this problem. I've been forced to use a mouse instead.

DELL 15 7000 series touchscreen issues - keeps shutting programs on it's own
Hi
I have a six month old DELL 15 7000 series and the touchscreen keeps going crazy.
It's as if someone is touching the top right and bottom right corners.
The date and time settings keep popping up. It closes the browser on it's own. It shuts down programs - outlook, word, etc.
It also moves the curser on it's own.
The only way I can get it to stop is by restarting but it is getting worse.
Is there a setting I can tweak to get it to stop?

my Alienware 17 R3 does not work anymore!
Hello, Yesterday I was playing with my alienware, when the screen is turned off and suddenly, I tried to reboot the system with the physical key, but power is all black except for the keypad LEDs etc, enters loop restart, until beeps, exactly 7 beeps (CPU failure). I have already sent an email to technical support. I state that has 2 weeks old.
Someone can help me, or I await the response of support without doing anything? thx!

HD Formatting/Windows 7 Key
I had to have my HD formatted and now Win7 is asking for the product key. The CD is long gone and the label under the laptop is illegible. How can I get the number? I tried a couple of general numbers and even an app, neither worked.
