Vostro 3560 Touchpad Driver Loss

I realize this is an old stream but hopefully someone will see this post and hopefully have a solution...

Each time I start the laptop the two finger scroll feature on the touchpad does not work and the driver has to be reinstalled.   The driver I install is the Elan Touchpad v11.3.10.2 (A00) July 18, 2013.

Any ideas why and how to fix it?

Thanks,

Joe

Dell 7558 2in1 Touchpad not full gesture set

I expected the touchpad gestures on my Dell 7558 to mimic the touchscreen gestures, as they did on my previous Lenovo system. I am using Widows 10 on the Dell, was using Window 8.1 on the Lenovo. The touchpad works, but, primarily zoom and reduce, do not work as expected. A USB mouse with wheel functions properly in all applications. How can I get this functionality?  There is no "mouse driver" or "input driver" specified for this system.

Hi all,

I have a XPS 13 9343 8GB i7 bought some months ago. I've noticed that the computer uses a lot of memory in general, it doesn't get less than 60% which is about 4.8 gb.

I use it with the highest possible resolution and I plug an additional monitor. I've tried removing the second monitor and it doesn't change much.

Does anyone know the reason of this? Is it normal?

Thanks on advanced,

Pablo

XPS 13 2015 screen flickering

Hello all,

I have an FHD XPS 13 2015. The screen suddenly started flickering without warning mid-use (browsing chrome).

The laptop has not been physically damaged in anyway, and no new new software has been installed recently.

I'm in the US at the moment for the year, but I purchased my laptop from the UK outlet store. Will my warranty be covered here?

Images:

The lower third of the screen flickers and lags occasionally from what's being displayed.

Has anybody experienced this issue?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi,

my USB ports(all 4) don't seem to be detecting any device I connect to them. I upgraded to Win 10 when it was released and it was all fine until about 10 days ago.

I looked in device manager and everything is working fine according to it.

I've restarted numerous times and uninstalled and scanned for hardware in device manager, to no avail.

Any ideas?

Thank you

display problem

For the past few weeks, I've been having display problems on my Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit laptop computer. What happens is the screen would flash or flicker. I get freezes; the browser and other windows (including error windows) would say, "Not Responding." My cursor turns into a blue spinning circle. I often have to close/end process. My browser button on the taskbar would split in two without my permission. I tried optimizing my computer for better performance but that didn't resolve it. I checked for viruses and quarantined them but I still have this problem. What has happened and how do I fix this? Your honest solutions are welcomed. I very much appreciate them. Thank you in advance. [:)]

XPS14 L421X: Dell boot diagnostics shows error 2000-0142

Hi

About 60 days ago I updated the windows to Win10 version.

It caused some problems so this week I tried  installing the offered dell drivers for windows 10.

Since than I had several startup problems. I ran dell boot diagnostics twice and received:

Error 2000-0142 - hard drive 0 s/n s0v0fxij, short self test unsuccessful. (which probably means one of my hard drives is malfunctioning.

The thing is - other than that the computer is working fine. I have two hard drives, the large one and the SSD. Is it possible that the SSD is malfunctioning, and this is why I have problems with my startup?

I checked with windows hard drive tools C: (the large one), L:(DBR_BOOT), Z:(WIRETOOLS) - no errors were found.

I ran dell website diagnostics through dell-system-detect: hard drive test + hard drive stress test - for all hard drives including SSD drive : All passed.

I have noticed that even though I tried updating bios as the dell website offered, the computer bios on 'system information' is still A16 17-Dec-2013.

Please Help!!

Broken AC Adapter damaged XPS 12 laptop - repair possible?

Hi!

Question to Dell Tech support. The XPS 12 laptop stopped working (doesn't start, doesn't charge battery) after an attempt to connect AC adapter with wrong polarity on the plug. Is it possible to repair laptop? Is there some sort of fuse on the way to motherboard? Or was the motherboard burnt? Can Dell Service Center help? How much could the repair cost?

My XPS 12's warranty is over, I assume that the only way to ask was on the forums.

Does this mean no hope for running Windows 10?
