Latitude E7440 LiteOn SSD 921PN Firmware Update
We have had reports of users having problems with Latitude E7440 with LiteOn SSD 921PN 128GB SSDs whereby it is not being detected, can’t be formatted or encrypted. The issue has been isolated to the SSD Firmware and LiteOn have released a Firmware update to resolve this particular problem.
If you have this SSD in your Latitude E7440 or have experienced this problem, please update the Firmware to Version HM7110E, A03. As always before applying the Firmware update, please perform a backup of your data to prevent any data loss.

Battery / BIOS issue
Hi,
When I starts my laptop it shows me "This battery is not recommended for your system,
Battery will not charge,Strike F1 to continue or Strike F2 to setup"
I've already updated the final version of BIOS L502XA12 into my system.
But the problem is still there,I'm not able to get solution , I've tried to solve this problem through many dell and third party Forums to get the solution but I failed.
Please help me As Soon As Possible.

Cannot Connect after upgrade
Dell inspiron 15 3000 series laptop will not connect at all after upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10? There is no wi fi or bluetooth anymore?? I have checked files, etc and there is no files at all for
wi fi or the bluetooth, I used to have. Where did they go and how can I resolve this issue. Thanks!

Stripped screw in dell inspiron 15 3521 need help.
I had to replace the touchpad on my laptop. Anyway I have one screw that wont come out It just spins and I have one screw that wont go back in. The hole that wont take a screw is at the upper right corner second from the top. I need to fix the screw because I wont be able to get back into the laptop in the future with this problem. these are the screws on the back of the laptop. Please help.

When Installing Synaptic Touchpad Driver Nothing Happens!!
Hey guys..
I have got a new laptop, Dell Inspiron 15-5888 5000 series. It's all great but there's only 1 problem..
The touchpad, it works correctly, but it hasn't any features, like scrolling, zooming, etc.
When I go to Dell -> Support, entering my Service-Tag, go to Drivers and downloads, Keyboard, mouse and other input devices, I can't find the Synaptic touchpad driver listed, I only find something called Unifying or something like that.. I tried to download a synaptic driver that's compatible with Dell Inspiron 5558, downloaded and installed it, but nothings happened after that, I looked it up on google, and found that there isn't a synaptic driver for my type of dell, but there's something called Alps, I don't really remember what was it called, anyway, I downloaded it, but also nothing happened.. Btw I have windows 10, and in my previous laptop, I used to get the Synaptic touchpad driver outta windows update, now there isn't any driver for synaptic in the drivers that listed in windows update.. any help guys?

How to Prepare XPS 13 W10 to Give to Someone?
Hi, everyone. Wondering (esp. since I'm a Mac guy)... how do I prepare the XPS 13 w/ W10 to give to someone? My brother-in-law needs a computer and since my XPS 13 has been sitting around not getting much use, I figured I should give it to him. Before I do so, however, I'd like to freshly install W10 and all the accompanying trimmings. Not sure how to go about doing so. I upgraded from W8.1 to W10 utilizing the free update option. Would very much appreciate help on this. Thank you.

E 7450 Finger scanner does not work with Win 10
I have a E 7450 that had Win 8.1 and all of the devices worked. I updated to Win 10 last week and my finger scanner no longer works. My finger scanner is the only device that does not work. When I go to set it up, it tells me that it is not connected. How can this be when it worked great in Win 8. I have check the forums and have found nothing that works.

Keyboard not working on Inspiron n7110
After upgrading my N7110 hard drive my keyboard is not working. When a connect a USB keyboard that works. When I go to Device Manager it states my HID keyboard is working properly. I've checked the cables a few times but still no love.
What could I be missing? It was working great before I upgraded the hard drive.

Hi, I want to buy a Dell Latitude E6420 on eBay in the future and i have some questions about it. First was a touch screen optional or standard, what Processors are supported and a list would be helpful and is the processor soldered to the mother board (BGA) and if it's not what socket, what is the maximum ram and what type. XPS 13 (9343) Touchpad stops working
Now that the video flickering issue has been resolved, I am now frequently encountering a very frustrating problem with my new XPS 13 (9343). If I stop using the touchpad for a few minutes (not sure how many, sometimes it's 1 or 2, sometimes its 30), then mouse pointer disappears completely and the touchpad does not respond. I can click, swipe, tap, etc. but there is no pointer. When it happens I am forced to use the touch screen to shut down the machine and restart it so I can get the touchpad and pointer to work again. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

xps 12. How do I factory reset (Windows 8) after upgrading windows 10?
I want to reset my xps 12 laptop to factory, which shipped with windows 8. I first tried the Dell Backup and Recovery. I saw the only recovery choice was the factory image, which is what I want. It rebooted, however then it seems Windows 10 stuff takes over and I can't factory reset. I can't roll back to 8 since I'm past 30 days in Windows 10. Not sure what to try next.

Laptop not boot automatically but manually booted
Laptop 3452 model not boot to automatically, but if you boot manually then it booted and it works further without having problems. I had test online , it passed on every ground. It passed on epsa test. But to boot manually I have to use my wireless keyboard, since my laptop keyboard not worked, but after booted the laptop keyboard works fine. I reinstalled the Window but the problem is continuing. Update the drivers and bios, the problem is continuing.

All kinds of fun for over a month now.
Are you dell seriously trying to destroy my life? I post and post and get people that ignore my question(s) and almost seem like they are on some other planet with the answers. It is all surreal. Every step of this all has some kind of weird hangup(s). I had been liking dell products up until recently, but now it is just all weird. I am trying to do this clean install of W7 on my n5110 laptop. I was getting an error attempting that there were some drivers that are not available for that to procede. So I am attempting to put the possible drivers on a usb for the install to find. I try to download the drivers and it is all going towards that until it actually starts and suddenly it says that many of these are going to self install!! Just lovely, potentially demolish my good desktop. No, not going to happen. I can just put this laptop in the trash if necessary. How in the world do I get these drivers to just download to the usb I have selected so I can get back to my life?

Dell Inspiron 7548 no service tag
Hi,
I can't find my service tag, also the auto detect doesn't work...
When I press F2, the service tag is empty.
Any idea what's the problem? and how can I fix it?

Optical drive bay - red light is always on, blinks blue when accessed, is this normal?
I replaced the dvd drive with an ssd drive (with enclosure), now the red light is always on on the drive bay enclosure, turns blue when accessed.
Is this normal?

Dell Inspiron I7 7746 - keyboard Keys dong strange things
Hi All,
I have a problem and i have started to rip our my hair with it!
Yesterday i booted up my laptop and noticed that for some reason certain keys on the board are doing strange things. For example when i press the letter 'C' the air plane mode cuts in. If i press the number '3' its tabs backwards and other keys do not seem to work at all. The touch screen works fine as its the only way that i can operate the computer.
I decided to do a factory reset and when it finished and loaded up still the same problem.
Any advise on this on this please?

Dell has sent me a blank replacement hard drive - i need some help
Alright guys
A couple of weeks ago the smart self test on my inspiron 17 7000 laptop warned that my hard is getting critical and could fail at any time. I contacted dell because i was still in warranty and they sent me a replacement hard drive. However the hard drive that they sent me was completely bank no pre-installed software on it...
Also i upgraded my system from windows 8 to 10 and for sone reason the backup apps stopped working. Dell couldn't help to solve this. So i do not have any recovery discs at all.
My orginal hard drive did work and i was able to use a software called eaeus todo to do a backup image of the drive.. I thought that would copy everthing over if the bootup.. Or did i need to have windows installed on it??
