Hey guy, so my dell xps 13 just arrived and i ordered with a dell d3100 docking station, I connected the dock and didint charge, so i had a look to the manual and said DO NOT CONNECTED UNTILL DRIVERS INSTALLED *giant facepalm* I´ve installed the drivers but still doesnt charge. I hope you guys can help me. Thanks!!

I have a 2011 Inspiron N7110. Recently power switch randomly fails to operate - sometimes I can try for an hour without success ; sometimes it works immediately. I have tried all the suggestions from online blogs - removing battery / using only with AC / holding switch down for up to 60 secs - but nothing works.
Any suggestions??,

Latitude e5420 freezes
I have a 4-year old Latitude e5420. Recently it has begun freezing when I access certain websites, in particular sites I have not visited previously. When I hard reboot the laptop, I sometimes (not always) get a screen reading "Disk Check. One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency". After running this series of checks, the laptop works normally--until the next time it freezes.
One time--last weekend--the laptop started but then the screen went blank. i was able to restart in Safe Mode, then shut down and restart normally, and no problems after that.
How serious is this? Is it something that can be analyzed and be repaired? Or after 4 years, is it time to get a new laptop?

XPS 13 (2015) won''t sleep with docking station and external monitor
I'd like my XPS 13 to go to sleep and eventually hibernate after a period of inactivity. I have a 2nd monitor attached via the D3100 dock. With this configuration, the computer never sleeps or hibernates until the battery is critically low. If I disconnect the docking station, it will sleep and hibernate as expected. Is there a configuration option I am missing? How can I configure the sleep/hibernate options with the dock connected?

Ok, I already have a post about Windows 10 and reinstalling Windows 7. But first I would like to some pro help if I could avoid the reinstalling whole Windows.
Background story from another topic:
"Ok, I have a problem. I tried Windows 10 on my Alienware M17X R4, but it didn't work as intented. So I went back to Win7. But now I get bluescreen everytime I start a game. I have reinstalled my video card drivers and chipset drivers but those didnt help. So I decided to put it back into factory settings."

Hello,
This BLACK SCREEN AT BOOTUP issue seems to have coincided with a Windows update (from May 28?)..
Here's the deal- > At startup, it initially starts as usual boot up. the Dell logo shows onscreen, but seems to show and disappear VERY quickly..then it goes directly to ONLY A BLACK (UNRESPONSIVE) SCREEN w/a FLASHING CURSOR (in upper left)... I have been able to access diagnostics and boot sequence screens infrequently with F8 & F12 keys.. BUT NEITHER HAVE HAD ANY EFFECT WHATSOEVER (during the few times the F8 or F12 have been responsive).
In the EXTENSIVE Diagnostics, scans, Dell's Support Assist, etc, etc.. Everything has PASSED...I've found NO Errors or anything...EVERYTHING PASSES...NO Viruses or ANYTHING..It began working again (without incident). After restoring to previous Windows update, the extreme cleanings, etc. and has performed without the ISSUE..but now Out of the BLACK, it has again returned...Doing the exact same thing at startup..Why its working NOW (after approx. 35 restarts), I have no idea...But it surprisingly said 'Resuming Windows' and has allowed me to use it...
In my quests I have ONLY gotten a report of 'several programs running at Windows startup'..(there are16 total.. but I don't know which ones are / are not required..(Dell Control Point, Dell Control point/Security, and a couple of others) that don't seem critical?... BUT I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONES TO KEEP OR Deem NOT Necc?.. So, Should I do the Windows 10 upgrade ASAP...and hope for the best?...Or does this seem like something else that I need to take a different approach on?..
Lastly, I would really appreciate any helpful advice on 'a step by step procedures kinda of thing' about making backups and creating a restore disk, etc?.. Even though I know a few Adobe Graphics PROGRAMS better than many other things I've spent time with...I OBVIOUSLY HAVE MAJOR DEFICITS IN 'HOW TO KEEP A COMPUTER ALIVE'...So again, any advice, links, etc..that you think would help..Thanks for your Time!...

WIN10 Drivers for Inspiron N5520
Hi support people,
I wanted to know when Dell will develop new drivers for Inspiron N5520 for Windows 10. As i upgraded my laptop from win 8.1 to win10, but i had many probelems....I would get Internal power error (blue screen error), due to graphic driver amd 7600 series + the intel wifi driver (intel centrino n2230) would stop working at times. So, the wifi + graphic driver crashes on Windows 10....Despite i tried downloading the latest drivers from the internet. So, i think it's having compatibility problems....So, i reinstalled my windows to windows 8.1. I'm happy with windows 8.1, as it doesn't crash ever. But when i upgrade to windows 10....My windows kept giving me blue screen errors and my system would reboot with internal power error or hardware incompatible error.
Let me know if you guys have any good updates on windows 10 drivers for inspiron n5520.

Bluetooth Not Connected
I have an NMEA bluetooth GPS. I can only connect it via via software such as QGIS. Is it normal that i can't connect it via 'Manage Bluetooth Devices' window (this is a Windows 8, Dell XPS 12 i7).
The only options i have are, viewing it as 'not connected', or 'remove device'

Upgrading wi-fi adapter on 15r 5537
Been using 15r 5537 for about a year and a half and I was wondering if there is a way to upgrade to a 11ac adapter from the b/g/n (Atheros QCA9565, Dell Wireless 1705) that I was originally given.
If so, what adapters can I buy? Links to buy them? Does Dell provide them officially and have drivers for them?

XPS 13 9343 Touchpad Two Finger Scroll
Terrible delay with two finger scroll on touchpad. Find using my fingernails (two of them!) will get it to scroll down without much delay, but this is awkward to say the least. And maddening.
Common agreement on forums is this is a Microsoft/Synaptic driver issue -- the settings panel offer you no way to adjust that sensitivity. I have emailed Dell Support asking for an ETA on an updated driver, and have not gotten a response 24 hours later.
there are a lot of involved workarounds out there that result in some kind of reduced functionality. Does anyone have any inside intel on when a new driver will be created? Otherwise I'm returning computer. An otherwise lovely machine, too bad.

Windows 10 Trackpad Issue Resolved
For Windows 10 users
Start Menu > Settings > Devices > Mouse and Touchpad - scroll to bottom > Additional Mouse Options
Hardware "HID Compliant Mouse" > properties > change settings
I have this (Windows Driver) disabled. From the downloads page for the drivers for Inspiron 7548 you'll get the dell updates software or proprietary driver itself but its called ETDWareUsb********.
The thing is that both drivers are trying to handle the same device at the same time.
I think the Windows 10 trackpad driver works fine but you should only have one or the other.
Having now used the latter its much more accurate and makes this trackpad turn from nightmare into something nice.

Dell Inspiron 7447 BIOS Update - Need help!

Hi all, I recently updated my bios from A02 to A03 because it is recommended on the dell site. But then again later when I started my pc. There's a watermark on the right bottom of my screen and I found out that my windows is not activated anymore. My laptop came with a pre-installed windows 8.1 home SL. I googled my problem and I found out that my product key is stored in the BIOS/EUFI. Now I want to rollback my BIOS but I can't find the version A02. The only versions given in the dell site for dell 7447 is the version A00 and the version A03. Please help me. I called the support and they told me to give it back to the shop where I bought the laptop from since it is under warranty. But it's a hassle. I'm currently studying away from home. Please help

Win8.1 Video Driver issues Dell XPS13 (2015)

the video drivers for DELL XPS13 2015 (9343) available on support site have issues: there are several glitches at the 3200x1800 resolution, as well as multimedia performances are low.
Intel released several updates for this video driver, but it is impossible to install them.
Can Dell release an update which includes the newest Intel's driver release?

to get the authenticity of replacement battery checked
I recently purchased a replacement battery online though not from dell site. It looks quite different from my original studio1555 battery which came along.
the serial on the battery is: KR-OWU960-71969-3MP-BV5G
if it is indeed original, the date seems to be quite old (3MP-means it is from 2003 right!!) . Would it work fine or drain soon .

Dell ac power adapter
My cord at the laptop has frayed and about to break is there a replacement or do I need to buy the entire thing? Dell does not recognixe the model PA-1900-02D. I have two of these and both frayed and cracked-the wires are showing.

Dell Inspiron 3250 Making Sorta Clicking Grinding Noise. Any suggestions...?
I've had my laptop for about 2 years now. I like it.
My laptop has been making the clicking, grinding sound. It is very sporadic. To stop it (temporarily) I simply tap on it (just about any where).
I have my thoughts like maybe its the BIOS that need updating or the fan...
But I welcome your thoughts and or suggestions on how to correct this annoyance.

how can claim warrantly localy from saudia ?
