When I am playing games without the AC plugged in, the brightness will decrease, the wireless mouse would get disconnected, and even the touchpad became glitchy. Everything fixes once I plug in the AC adapter. I just got this alienware a week ago.
Is the computer trying to save power by shutting things down? Is there a way to prevent this or do I have to plug in the charger when I am playing?
I have a Dell 1764 laptop. It's about 5 years old. Should I upgrade it or buy another laptop

I have a problem,I purchase dell inspiron 15( 3542) ,I installed window 8,but my laptop touch mouse pad not working ,when i attached extera mouse its working. in window 7 its working but in window 8 its not working.I many time tried to download touch pad driver but problems still occur.
When I installed window -7,mouse pad working good but another problem occur that is my system not connected to internet.because no ether net/net driver not found..
Both CDs are working good ,when i used these CDS (7&8-Window) in my desktop Dell optiplex 780.
I am so tired .Ur cooperation in this regards will b highly appreciated.Please guide me what can i do

I have 2 laptops inspiron 7520 and<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>
. i hadn't used them in a long time, like more than 3 months, so i decided to boot them up yesterday. All was fine and they showed low battery (as expected) but when i connected them to the charger i faced weird problems.
Can somebody please tell me what and where might the problem be?

I have this LTE module installed in my laptop and there are 3 pins for antennas.
1 MAIN, 1 AUX and 1 GPS, but I can only see 2 antennas.
1 for MAIN and 1 for AUX.
Where is GPS antenna or it should be like that?

Really struggling i have an old Dell Inspirion 8600 and wanted to try Windows10 Preview on it.
I have upgraded the memeory over the years it currently runs Win XP and works without any problem
I have tried for days to get my machine to boot from USb and then tried DVD boot disc.
I created a boot usb and bot dvd with the Windows 10 ISO but my laptop just goes into a loop saying Hit any Button to boot from USB/DVD (which ever one i select from Boot slection)
My USB and DVD is working fine if i try other media on them sothey are fine. Just struggling to get this machine to boot.
Any ideas please

I bought a Dell Precision M6400 (#2) recently on Ebay and it arrived earlier today. Cosmetically the unit looks new, like it's seldom been used if ever. I need some advice because it just won't Boot To the Bios screen. The unit came without a HDD.
When I power on it will not Boot To Bios and I tried for about an hour. The Dell logo splash screen appears on Power Up normally and the Bios progress bar makes it to 98% and the screen goes black and keeps trying to fully load. Fast at first and then gets very slow the last 80%. Makes it to 98% and keeps re-trying. Below the progress bar on the splash screen read Bios Version A13, which is the latest version.
The seller did tell me that it may be 2GB of RAM and not 4GB, that a stick may have been removed. I get nothing when I try F2 and when I try F12 I get a little message top right in yellow, "Preparing For One Time Boot Option" but that disappears when the progress bar reaches 98% and tries again and again.
I think it's something simple. When I get time tomorrow I'm going to start checking the RAM and see if it's seated properly. If that isn't the culprit what should I check next?

The "on" button remains lit all the time on my dell XPS13 laptop. I can get the keys to light up, so electricity is clearly available. But the screen doesn't come on, even when I press the screen key at the bottom left of the keyboard,. Nor will it come on when I press the Function key with the screen icon on it. I can't close the system down either, for example by pressing ctrl + alt + delete. Nor does the system go to "sleep" when I close the lid. Can someone help me with this problem?

I needed a new hard drive so got one at a computer store. Blank, raw, nothing on it.
I used the recovery CD I created just after getting my Inspiron thinking everything would get set up correctly. After it finished and I tried to reboot I get a "No Boot Device Found" error message.
New HDD: Toshiba 1TB 2.5" SATA
BIOS sees the HDD
Tried UEFI and Legacy booting (I think) in BIOS.
Any ideas on what's wrong?

I am trying to make sure all my drivers for my Dell E6420 are up to date. I have gone to the support area of Dell.com and identified my machine. I let the site detect my drivers and then tell me what I need. I am at the point where I have downloaded all the drivers and installed them, but one keeps appearing:
This one keeps showing up even though I have installed it multiple times. I have tried downloading it manually and installing it from my desktop, downloading it and running it through the Dell site, downloading it with the Download Manager, but nothing works. I have also restarted my laptop several times.
Any suggestions on how to get this installed properly? Is this something I am doing wrong on the install or that the Dell site is not seeing and its an error there? Any idea how to correct it?

My alienware 17 has had a lot of problems over the last 6 or so months. A lot of them are probably traced to the motherboard. Overall the total quality of the computer has gone down the drain and im finding myself fixing it more than I am actually using it. I have a next business day support warranty on it and would really like to just send it in and get a new laptop. How do I do that? From my understanding, when I bought the warranty, I was told that I could send in my laptop and have techs assess it and do what was needed to be done. Can someone please instruct me how to do this? I paid 400 dollars for this warranty and would like to get something out of it.
