My dell inspiron 15 is not starting by pressing the start key. The charging LED is even not blinking after connecting the charger. But I has blinked a few times then the start button has worked when the charging LED had blinked but the a message is displayed of system failure. It has to start manually or recover , I choose recover the system . and when I recovered it again switch off after few minutes. And now it's not starting . none of the LED is even blinking also at the time of connectiong the charger. Please help me what to do.

Latitude E5550 Sluggish after undocking
This is a very bizarre problem. When a user undocks, the system becomes so sluggish to the point its not usable. YET, if you constantly move the mouse around, the speed goes back to normal. If you stop moving the mouse, it goes back to being a slug.
I've tried disabling the mouse drivers, installing the latest BIOS, etc. but nothing has helped. Any ideas?

Disable 1 second delay between key+click combination when using pointstick button
This is seemingly related to the touchpad's 'touchguard' function, but applied to the pointstick.
On my Dell E5550 (late 2014), there is both a touchpad and a pointstick, each with their set of buttons for left and right clicking.
When using the pointstick, pressing a key on the keyboard disables any input from the pointstick or its buttons for 1 full second. This is to avoid moving the cursor or clicking by inadvertence while typing.
In Dell's Touchpad properties, the place where pointstick parameters are also found, the touchpad section includes a setting to enable/disable 'touchguard' as well as setting the amount of time for the inhibition of the touchpad's surface and buttons.
It works as intended, because keys like Ctrl, Alt and Shift don't inhibit touchpad input, allowing for Ctrl+click or Shift+drag combinations.
This doesn't work for the pointstick.
First, there is no way to disable touchguard for the pointstick. Second, as it is always enabled, meaning typing inhibits the pointstick and buttons, it doesn't differentiate between keys, meaning Ctrl+clicking requires the user to hold the Ctrl key for at least one second before pressing the left click button!
The one second delay is fixed, and cannot be adjusted, like is the case for the touchpad.
As you can imagine, it is incredibly annoying.
Would you please provide me with a solution?

I am looking to upgrade both of them and was wondering what cpus and video cards are compatible with the model as I am not having any luck with online searches. Also, what would upgrading it entail, ie. Anything being soldered or glued to any other components.

6 beeps at start up dell inspiron 14z 5423
Hi,
This morning I turned on my laptop to find out that the system was beeping. As soon as you turn it on, the laptop beeps in a pattern: 6 beeps and a gap, and this goes on and on. The laptop works and loads fine. Windows is running normally. The beeping sound can be temporarily disabled if the speakers are muted. I'm not sure what the problem is.
update: I just figured that the beeping stops when the laptop wakes from sleep mode. However, if the laptop is restarted, the beeping starts again.

Problem booting up
Hello there
I have a Dell inspiron 17 r se
when I try to boot it , it shows checking media [fail] then another checking media and then it shows no boot device found and it asks to reboot again.
I have tried to reboot many times but it still doesn't work .
I have done diagnostic test and it passed that as well.
I have no clue what the problem is .

firmware update for SSD SM841
my Dell laptop has the Samsung SSD SM841 built into it.
right now, it has the firmware version DXM43D0Q installed on it.
I would like to update the firmware, as I have some performance issues.
Unfortunately, on the Dell website, I can only find an update to the firmware DXM47D6Q which does not seem to be compatible with my SSD.
Is there a firmware update available? Where can I find it?

Vostro laptop is not booting, beeping continuously,display not turning on.
Guys,
I'm using vostro1550 laptop. Initially display was completely white, nothing was displayed. I was trying to fix this by using external monitor. External monitor was able to display everything. But By mistake I uninstalled display driver. After restarting the system, system itself is not booting, giving continues beep sound.
Can anyone help to fix this problem..plz?

Amd driver not updating
My dell laptop is 15R 5521 i5-3337u and has intel hd 4000 and amd 8730M.i have amd 8730M display driver version 9.0.12.0 and i downloaded 9.0.12.1 A03 and installed but when i go to device manager it still show old version.i even tried to uninstall driver and install but no use! Size of this driver is 215mb which i downloaded.what am i to do.problem is that sleeping dogs game freezes while loading and then it does not respond but when i convert fromm high performance to power saving in graphics switchable properties ,game start but lags much.and when i do it to high performance it again freezes while loading.so i thought to update driver.but driver problem arised...please help me to solve this problem.thank you.

Battery Compatability Inspiron N4010
I have an Inspiron N4010 which I bought in Sept. 2010. I have been getting 'consider replacing your battery' on the battery icon in the SYSTRAY.
I ordered a new battery by chat from Dell, based on my service tag # DFDNP61. The one they sent me is a 9-cell YXVK2, 90 Wh.
The one in my laptop is a 4YRJH.
The new one fits nicely into the battery tray except it protrudes about 1/2 inch under the display.
The Inspiron Setup Guide on Page 83 lists both 6 cell and 9 cell batteries.
Can I use the YXVK2 in my laptop? Is the AC adapter compatable?

XPS13 - Intelr Smart Sound Technology is keeping laptop from sleeping
Hi all,
My Dell XPS13 does not go into sleep mode.
Running
'powercfg -requests'
revealed that Intelr Smart Sound Technology driver is keeping the system from sleeping.
The exact output is:
[DRIVER] Intelr Smart Sound Technology (Intelr SST) (ACPI\INT3438\1) An audio stream is currently in use
However, no audio stream is running.
I don't know how to tackle this issue.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Webcam only capturing weird green image
So I have an Inspiron 5547. It has a 3d webcam, and for some apparent reason, it only captures images in this weird way, no matter whether it's for fastaccess or during a google hangout.
Somehow, in the Camera app on the start screen, it clicks normal pictures.
Here's what it looks like otherwise. Any help? I wanted to try reinstalling the drivers but they're an absolute torture to locate.

Touchpad multi fingers support not working properly
Touchpad not working properly in my new Dell laptop inspiron 15 3543.
I have the latest driver provided by dell which is 18.1.16
The 2 point gestures not working.
Sometimes it works but sometime doesn't.
I think its driver issue because When 2 point gesture does not works the touchpad logo in taskbar also stops responding.
It does not show any animation on touch the touchpad or moving curser.

Integrated Webcam - Distortion and flipped photos
Hello.
After reinstalling Windows, I got some problems with the webcam.. Now it flips every photo horizontally and also distorts it.
I already searched for drivers on 'Dell Support' but there are no drivers for the camera... The one which is installed is from 2006 (from Microsoft - http://i.imgur.com/cAXDOa1.png ).
I tried the Dell Webcam Center too (before that I was using the Camera app on Windows 8.1), and it didn't distort the photos, but only when they were taken in 480p. In 720p I got the same problems.
Anyone had a similar problem? How can I solve this?
My notebook is an Inspiron 3521, with Windows 8.1.
