Overheating Laptop Inspiron i5
my computer lately has been overheating a lot.. I play some High FPS games, such as Counter Strike.. and am trying to find a solution to fix my dropped FPS in game.. At one point I will have 90 Frames.. then in a matter of seconds I will have less than 30.. and when I feel my laptop.. it is very hot to touch. I have tried air compressing the bottom vent, I have a cooler... I really don't have a clue what next to do.. anyone mind helping me?

Alienware M17x is not able to perform playing anywhere near to the capability of the hardware
I have had an Alienware Laptop M17x and I have tried playing so many games, some it can perform at an average level for a basic game, but many games struggle to run even on the lowest settings without causing massive jitterts, freeze, lag etc.
The hardware however is amazing and far more powerful than any of my other laptops and desktop, yet cannot run anywhere near to their level. Also all settings are on high performance before anyone asks, and I have reinstalled the divers and I have done the take battery and uninstall the drivers stuff loads of times.
This is its spec:
intel quad core i7 x940 @2.13GHz, 2129 Mhz, 8 logical processors
BIOS Alienware A10 17/01/2011
SMBIOS version 2.6
8GB DDR3 ram
crossfire 2x AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5870
From the spec of it, I should be running all my games on max graphics smoothly like it is advertised, please any help into how to get my laptop running to the level it should be, thanks

Dell Inspiron 7520 Memory Slot
Hi,
I own a Dell Inspiron 7520 15R SE and have been using it for a couple of years now. Recently, it started making 4 beeps when I turned it on and upon replacing the RAM stick into the second slot, it works fine... I have tried multiple things like cleaning, trying a new memory module but one memory slot is faulty... Any idea if it can be repaired or will I have to replace the entire motherboard ? And what would be the estimated cost ?

Hard Disk 0 Error. Media Test failed, check cable. WINDOWS 7
Help please, i'm not sure what happened with my computer. I got a blue screen, computer
turned off and then suddenly got "Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Series v.1.24....Media Disk Error....Reboot and select proper boot device....."
I've already tried changing the boot options to different priorities and none of them work. I ran a diagnosis and it told me i had a "Hard Driver 0 Error =32"

Dell Inspiron 15R (N5110) BIOS update
Last week i tried to reserve my copy of the Windows 10. But after clicking the Windows 10 icon and checking my PC compatibility I was informed that my BIOS was not supported.
after checking my BIOS details I realized that I was using the old A09 update. So I updated my BIOS to the newer A11 version, but even after that the BIOS was not supported. After reading a few forums i realized that this was problem people faced when upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8. So can I know if there will be a update for my BIOS or if there is any other way to solve this problem. I'm using Windows 7 x64 SP1.

Rethermal pasting my laptop. Help.
I need help with my laptop.
It overheats fairly quickly (probably after 10 minutes) when I play a game, or even when idle.
Idle temps reach 50-70, and gaming reaches 90-100.
I'm not familiar with anything to do with the insides of the computer but people suggest to rethermal paste my laptop in order to keep the temperatures down?
Since I'm in the Philippines, I'm not sure whether or not any of the official dell stores can rethermal paste it for me. My laptop is old, Alienware M14x.
Would you have any knowledge if any of the stores here in the Philippines are familiar with this model and can repaste it for me or would I have to have it repasted somewhere else like in America? And how much would it cost? In dollars?

beep code
I woke up this morning to a series of loud beeps coming from my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series with an i5 processor. I've been using this nice machine for a year now and I haven't had these types of issues before. I only know that the it was between 4 and 7 beeps, because I didn't know that the beeps had any significance, so I just held onto the power button (I thought my computer was off the whole night) and it stopped. By the way, I left my screen up for the night because I thought it would go to sleep. Anyways, what should I do now, or how do I make the beeps repeat so I can verify the number of beeps? I know there is some beep code now after looking around a little bit. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with a virus because I reset my computer recently to factory conditions because I have been using windows defender for the past year and I'm pretty sure it didn't pick up on a lot of stuff.

Latitude 3330 Battery Not Recognized
Hi--
I have a Latitude 3330 laptop and the computer has stopped recognizing the battery. I assumed it was the battery and bought a new one, but the problem is still there.
I've already tried:
1) Blowing compressed air over the various connections.
2) Removing the battery, powering it on with only the charger, and then turning it off, giving the machine a chance to use up any residual power. Then I put the battery back in again, and it still doesn't recognize it.
Any thoughts?

XPS L502X laptop - max memory supported
Hi,
I want to upgrade my laptop to the max amount of RAM possible. However, I am getting conflicting information on what the max allowable is; some say 8gb, others say 16gb (in 2 slots). I have used the scanners on the Crucial website which says 16gb is max. I've tried to chat with Dell sales reps - one has said 16gb is max and another says 8gb is the max. So this has left me rather confused!
Laptop is: XPS L502X with Dell 0YR8NN motherboard with Intel HM67 chipset and Intel Core i5 2410M @ 2.30 GHz. Current memory installed is 4gb (2 x 2gb).
If anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated.

mSATA into WWAN slot

I know I revisiting an old question, I have tried to find the answer but to no avail. I have a Dell XPS l501x running a crucial M4 SSD 128gb drive. I would like to know as of now is it possible to run a mSATA card on a WWAN slot if this has a sata controller built into the card?

Latitude e6420 problems with user
OK I'm not an IT guy but hear me out here is what happened:
I have a great latitude e6420 that my company generously gave me when I retired in April of 2014
Warranty expired April of 2015.
Bios A01 (super early?)
June 2015 hard drive failed, kaput, finished...so I purchase a Crucial M500 SSD for the main drive
I am unable to install newly purchased Win 7 64 for new systems OS - gets to final last stage and I get the blue screen of death. "HIDCLASS.SYS" is called out...
I look up the error codes and it says its an usb problem remove any wireless KB or mouse useage. and reset Bios to defaults.
Now CD/DC\VD has disappeared - no longer identified or listed in boot order in F12 boot options menu
I am in need of direction...I need to send this out of warranty but great laptop to Dell with my disks for setup and basic OS software/Dell Driver installation.
I suspect my BIOS is way to early...but knowing that any glitch on that update will render the MB useless...
Any advice would be of great assistance.

Inspiron 3531 - Adding Bluetooth
Is It even possible to add bluetooth to this device? (Inspiron 15-3531... Windows 8.1) ... I upgraded my XPS 8700 wifi card to ac wifi and figured i could just take the Dell 1703 Wifi / BT combo card from it and put it in my laptop. Well, I did... and the network part of it works great even without installing any drivers... but no bluetooth, I see absolutely no setting for bluetooth whatsoever in Device Manager or PC settings. I tried using the original drivers for the 8700 but they wont install, ive tried several other Drivers that were specific to the Dell 1703 Wifi + BT combo card, and they wont install. The message reads "The installer can not run on this platform. Please select package for your operating system." Ive tried both windows 7 and Windows 8.1 specific drivers, but neither will finish the installation process. Ive also read as many other forums as i could find and haven't found a case where it was resolved. Due to having only 2 USB ports im trying to free up the slot currently being taken by my wireless mouse, and replacing it with a bluetooth one.
Has anyone managed to upgrade a 3531 (or similar laptop) to bluetooth successfully? Is there a specific driver I can get on Dell or elsewhere that ties together with this card and or laptop? Is this laptop only compatible with certain wifi / bt cards?
If anyone could answer any or all of these questions, even if only to tell me its not possible it will save me trouble, and thanks

XPS 12 9Q23 needs factory reset and rebuild. Pretty much says it all.
There is F2 and F12 boot modes, neither of which provide any rebuild options that I have found. Any help would be highly appreciated.
