Dear all,
I have exchanged the battery in my Dell Vostro V13. Ever since, the battery light is flashing amber. The new battery did supply the computer with power as long as it was charged. Now it is empty and clearly not charging up.
Windows says "battery is charging", but it shows the crossed out battery symbol.
In the bios battery testing menu, it was indicated that the battery was not recognized, but charging normally.
It is not an original Dell battery. The company that sold me the battery told me that probably my laptop detects this and blocks the battery.
Can I do anything to get the laptop to detect the battery?
If not, can I buy an original Dell battery somewhere?
Thanks
Eva
