My laptop has only started in safe mode for the past few months and now it has just completely quit starting up altogether. When I ran diagnostics as specified by another user on here, I got this:
Error code 2000-0151
Validation 13712
Msg: Hard Drive 0 - S/N WD-WXA1A21J3959, incorrect status = 3E
No additional sense information
What does this mean?
Suddenly images will not show on Facebook pages, but work on any other website. Performed a complete OS reinstall from the days when the images appeared, but STILL they don't display. I have to guess a video driver problem unique to Facebook?
Hi recently i noticed that when i have my dell 13 7000 series inspiron laptop when in stand mode, keyboard is still active and as a reuslt it is obstructing my work.

I have few questions. I get a qualcomm gobi 2000 module from a laptop and I plug it in my laptop dell 3330, the driver installed and already organized by Win8.1 but just I see in (COM4) I didn't find the modem HSDPA Do I need more drivers so my laptop can connect with the sim card because Dell broadband couldn't find any mobile network.

Kind of an odd problem, but I have never experienced it before. Everything is working fine and then briefly stops. Music playing stops. mouse cursor movement stops, keyboard stops working, but monitor and computer continue to run. Delay/hickup/hesitation is only for a fraction of a second, but is really irritating. Happens about once a minute or two. I have tried playing music off Pandora, Spotify, and my hard drive and same result. Thought it might have something to do with recent software update from Western Digital so disconnected my backup drive with no improvements.
Anyone have any ideas????
Windows7 is too slow on my latitude E4300 and expanding its main memory failed to work, even after optimizing all win7 applications.
Internet search mentions about upgrading BIOS and the DELL Web page is inconsistent because highest BIOS revision E4300A26.exe has older than than obsolete E4300A23.exe. None of them work to expand memory and it is strange that DELL hasn´t fixed this known inconsistency for years.
DELL user manual mentions support for DDR3 1066MHz memories but so slow memories don´t exist anymore in the market. Other users mention that DELL had to give individual codes to allow extended memory.
It is a pity that such an professional laptop fails to support standard DDR3. When the DDR3 standard was defined, memory timing should become irrelevant of the memory speed because the actual speed is defined by the host, as long as the DDR3 nominal frequency is faster than the minimum supported frequency by the host.
The new SO-DIMM are not broken, they work fine on other non-DELL laptops.
Adding memory to other DELL computers is very easy thanks to the DDR3 technology, except for this laptop.
Has anybody any hint what could be done to make memory expansion on a latitude E4300 to work?
I tried both BIOS versions but laptop fails to boot when a fast 4GB DRAMs is on any of the 2 memory slots, no matter which combination of 4GB/1GB memory is done.
Hi, I tried to fix Cooling FAN Noise and dell site recommened to update the BIOS Software and i downloaded the BIOS software an updated the same.WHile updating it got failed and got message saying contact Dell support team. When i started the computer back again, i am getting black screen only and more than 10 beep sound continously. I tried to remove statis power as well and no luck. Please suggest
I'm working on a Studio 1558 that was not charging. I first installed a new power port inside the laptop. When I connected the AC adapter to the new port, the light on the port would briefly come on then go off again. At no point could I make it stay on continuously. I also tried this with the old port, and got the same thing. (Obviously, this is not a port issue.)
The specs on this genuine Dell adapter are 65W 19.5V 3.34A. When I searched on the Dell site for a new adapter for this model laptop, the specs were supposed to be 90W 19.5V 4.52A.
I ordered this new adapter but unfortunately, when I plug it in, the light on the power port does the exact same thing. It flashes on very briefly.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is with this machine?

I recently reformatted my xps 17 (l701x)
I did my driver updates and for some reason when I deactivate my touch pad it is still active.
The light does show its shut down, However it is not.
I looked in the windows mobility center, Where I know there is an option to turn it off.
This option is not in there.
I have installed older drivers for my touch pad and the latest one and it still wont shut off.
Can someone please help?

When I on my laptop there comes the beeping sound and it won't stop, my laptop works properly but until my laptop start up to its homescreen I still hear the 5 times beeping sound tho it's not that loud, so when I put my headphones on I can hear that annoying sound like 5 times then pause then 5 times again, how can I fix this?
i bought inspiron 5547 touch screen with windows 8.1 on november 2014 in US , it was working fine suddenly for every keyboard press or mouse event screen and keyboard flickers and system locks. i tried to reset the system but it didnt fix the issue. can you provide me a solution.
My Dell Inspiron N4050 hard disk is making clicking sounds some times, but laptop is till working fine. It also does not find boot device( hard disk) at the system startup. It seems my hard disk is soon going to die. Can someone help to answer following questions?
1) Can I clone my current hard disk to a new hard disk so that new hard disk is 100% copy of new hard disk including system restore partition which contains OS image copy.
2) My windows 7 product key mentioned on the lap top sticker is a little tempered and now 100% readable. I used a couple of utilities to retrieve the product key, but, retrieved product key is different than what I see on the lap top sticker. Why is it like that? I had my laptop repaired when it was on warranty when its motherboard was replaced, but hard disk is same. So I dont understand by windows product key on the sticker is different than retrieved by different utilities.?

I've been having a problem with my laptop since 2 or 3 weeks.
It keeps freezing for 2 seconds every one minute, I've checked the performance usage window in the task manager and noticed that the cpu usage raise up to 30% when it freezes. I've checked also the process window, a service called "windows search indexer" comes up first in the higher usage process list, so I disabled it but the problem was not solved.
I would be really disappointed if its an hardware issue because I just spent almost £ 500 to get it fixed.

I have a DELL Latitude E6520 with 2 4GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz NON ECC CL 9-9-9-24 installed. I made a checkup scan after some Bluescreens. The results are allways the same, the tool says that there is an error called WME02-IRU. What can I do? What does this error mean?

Inspiron 1521, after one night that the laptop stayed ON, the next morning de screen was black, but the laptop looks like it was working. I turned the 1521 off.
Problem: when I press the power button the system starts normally but the screen has a RED collor! The text windows start is coming, the password is asking, and then after a few seconds, the screen turns to BLACK!
All the led lights are green, power light is also green, the system it looks like its working, I can hear the hard drive working, I think everything is working exept the screen! I have the same problem with battery or without battery.
