I ordered an ALIENWARE M18X over a month ago, and the projected delivery date is TOMORROW, but now, out of the blue, they changed it to May 30th, next week. I contacted customer support and they said there was a back ordered part (YP5J2), but couldn't tell me what that part was. Does anybody know here at DELL or is Alienware on another planet somewhere lol? Seriously, is this where I can get answers about my Al;ienware computer or do I have to go somewhere else? I did order some extra "non-standard" parts which pushed my computer up into the $4000 range, but if I am going to get the best gaming/desktop replacement laptop on the market (supposedly) then I am going to put the good stuff in it. I got the dual Nvidia 680m graphics cards, and the upgraded wireless dual channel 3 antennae card, and a couple of 750GB 7200rpm Raid 0 hard drives which will come with Windows 7 on it, but I got a 256 mSata card here waiting to go in it when it gets here, and I will set it to boot off that, install my Windows 7 Ultimate (Oh, and I got 16GB of ram in this machine too, but it's in 4 x 4GB memory cards that takes up all the spaces (I believe) so if I want to go to 32GB, I will have to figure out how to get the ram out that is in it now, which may mean removing the keyboard, which I am not used to messing with laptops as much as I am desktops, so I don't want to screw anything up if I ever did want more memory, but 16GB should be fine. I do know that to access 32GB of Ram in Win 7, you have to use Professional or Ultimate). Anyway, Can anybody help me with that part number? It didn't work when I typed it into the parts list for Dell, which makes me think that there may be another place to go for Alienware questions. Mars maybe? Latitude D630 Windows Error Recovery
Ok, so my laptop isn't wanting to boot. When it comes on, it goes to menu where it asks you if you want to start in safe mode, etc. I've tried booting it with the different options, but none of them work. I know there are other menus with more advanced options but I didn't want to just start messing around with stuff because I don't know too much about the workings of computers. Oh and side note, I don't have the windows operating disk or whatever it asks me to try and use. Thanks for any help!

Latitude e6500 - Identify the wireless
My e6500 was purchased in 2009 and had XP until this week when that blew up. We have installed Windows 7 and have pretty much all hardware hooked up with new drivers. Except the wireless. We can't tell what the wireless card is so any help to identify it would be very much appreciated.

Mouse cursor jumps when typing & USB ports are failing
This issue has been occurring for over a year.
The laptop has been to the repair depot 2 times, two service techs have made onsite repairs, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the OS and updated all drivers. I've set the motion protection sensor on and disabled the touchpad when a USB mouse is present. The problem persists.
The worst part is Dell technical support still wants me to call support to open yet another ticket and re-explain the entire situation. I have not ever experienced such wretched customer service.
I am giving Dell another chance to get it right. Here is the ticket number: 875908948

Latitude E5530 - Print contact sheet issue
Hi Dear all:
I have a new machine E5530, i found a bug.
when we want making 40 or more photos in one A4 paper (call contact sheet),
when we select print, the error massage will appear and close the application.
normal print is okay.
i try many time driver update, but issue still no overcome.
my office also have 2 dell Latitude E5530, i tested the model,
i found same error too.
i sure This is serious error bug for all Latitude E5530.
any solution can overcome the issue?

studio1558 display wont work
Hi. My Studio 1558 screen went fuzzy, vertical hazy stripes, isometric lines from a corner a few times and then lost display altogether. Had the blue display driver screen a few times too. Then could eventually get it going. But now it wont. It wont work on an external screen either. What do I do? Can I take the HDD out and buy another laptop and put it in that? Would that be less painful and more reliable?

DELL VOSTRO 330 HELP Needed
Hi I have Dell Vostro 330. MY mother board cannot detect any drive on sata port 0 and 1. I cannot find new motherboard as your company does not make one. I was thinking if I could buy USB to Sata connector and connects external hard drive as an internal one to make the vostro running. Is there any other solutions expect changing the motherboard.

Laptop driver recovery
I have a 1558 studio laptop that I am restoring from scratch. I have in installed windows 7 and need to install the Drivers, I can access the drivers page but there is no instructions on which drivers need to be installed. Only the 19 recommended which I have tried to install my serial number but doing so has ended up with an unbootable computer twice. in my windows driver list there are 2 base system device and 1 unknown device. Is there some way to correctly install the devices with out the hunt and peck way?

All My drive is unavailable in Boot
I want to Install Windows 8 in my Inspiron 14z, which using 32gb SSD mSata + 500Gb HDD...
I'm using Boot installer in my pendrive, as usual i have to chose which partition i want to install the windows...
but there's no drive available...even the SSD or the HDD...so can u tell me how to fix this?

My Laptop Sleep when Playing Games or Graphic Work
I recently bought Dell Inspiron 14z Ultrabook,about a month ago.

i7-3517U
RAM 8gb
SSD 32gb mSATA + 500HDD
Intel HD4000 Switchable AMD Radeon 7570M
Why my laptop sometimes sleep by it self, this happen when I'm playing games or do Graphic Work (ACAD,Phtshop,AfterEffect,render movie)
I noticed this happen when the swithcable graphic is at high performance setting for those Software...
How to fix this?

Can the SSD drive on the Inspiron 7720 be used for...
I purchased the Inspiron 7720 with the SSD option but I'm disappointed to see that it offers no positive performance increase for general tasks (my HD score in the Windows Experience Index is 5.9 because of the SSD, which is the same in laptops without the SSD).
It seems that the SSD on this laptop is only used for hibernating the laptop, but is there anyway to configure it to be used as a swapdrive for pagefiles? Or even as a scratch disk for program like photoshop.
If anyone's done this, I'd love to know the steps.

LCD Bezel (34YFF) on Inspiron N7010 not snapping back into place.
Hi, I had to replace the screen on my Inspiron N7010 after the LCD randomly died. Replacing the screen was easier than expected, but the front bezel (34YFF) isn't reattaching -- when one portion of the piece pops securely in, another piece pops out like a game of whack a mole. What makes this all the more frustrating is that literally every video showing someone going through this process has them easily popping it back into place, but that's just not working.
I purchased a new bezel, just in case the previous one might have had its tabs wear, but I'm having the same problem with it, too. Does anyone have a similar experience with this stubborn piece? Because it's driving me insane
