Hello, I buyed an Inspiron 17 7000 series 2-in-1 in January 2017 and it had problems starting in February. (so, very very soon after I buyed it). 

The main problem (and only problem) is a screen distortion that happens DAILY when I use the computer.

The monitor starts have flickers and black bands, distorcing the image and making, eventually, the whole screen black. It happens when I use programms such as Photoshop or videogames, but recently it has been happening also when I'm just using it to browse the internet. (So, not under stress like in the other 2 situations.)

The only way to '''restore''' the screen is to block it with the 'lock screen' button on the side and then unlock it again. Then it goes away, but eventually the problem comes back.

I've been downloading drivers for the graphic card, looking for resolutions, I even sent the computer in assistance THREE TIMES and they didn't find anything. They changed my SSD but the problem wasn't that. I can't figure out what the problem is, even if it is software or hardware.

The computer is not even one year old and I'm extremely concerned about this problem that doesn't seem to resolve. I've also tried to change luminosity, screen resolution, anything, but I can't figure out a solution.

Anyone had this problem? Anyone can help or give some sort of advice? I've lost hope in the assistance honestly, because they already took my laptop in assistance 3 times and the pc still has the problem. Thank you for anyone that will respond.

The DELL Inspiron 17R SE 7720of of my mother was used  since years and without problems with a wireless mouse and keyboard connected to.

But now, since I installed the drivers for a new "Brother DCP-L2500D" printer/scanner device, the wireless mouse and keyboard stopped working - more precisely: After a start/restart of Windows, the wireless mouse & keyboard are dysfunctional at the login screen. If then the printers USB connection is unplugged, the wireless mouse & keyboard are back operational after like 10 seconds.

I have tested all available USB ports and "permutated" the connections in all possible combinations - to no avail...

Any hint/idea how to fix this is highly welcome!

BTW: The laptops built-in keyboard and touch-pad are never affected and do work all the time.
The OS is Windows 7 Home Professional (64bit).

hello,
i bought my laptop about 3 months ago and about a week or so i have noticed that on the top left corner there is a somesorth of flashing light and i have no idea why or how to fix it and it appears only at the top left corner of the screen i updated all the drivers but it didn't help and i dont know what els i can do maybe someone can help me to figure out what the problem is and how to fix it? i uploaded a short video to show you what the problem is i hope you can see it clearly you can see it more clearly in realty

I need to replace the Coin Cell battery in my 17R-7720. I would like to have the replacement on hand before I open up the computer so I can get the job done in one sitting. The operator's manual (service manual) goes into great detail on how to replace the battery but no where could I find listed WHAT battery it takes. Can anyone identify what is the correct battery for this computer?

HI,

Please can someone help - my laptop crashed and I am needing a file that i cant seem to find after the crash.

I did an Euseas data recovery search and searched, the program found the document. Euseas want $69 for me to get the file! 

Any ideas how I can find the file and get it back to my machine without paying this fee??

Hello! i bought this model  Dell Inspiron 5567 cu procesor Intel® Core™ i5-7200U 2.50 GHz, Kaby Lake™, 15.6", Full HD, 8GB, 256GB SSD, DVD-RW, AMD Radeon™ R7 M445 4GB, and when i make some updates for windows, fan starts to work and never stop. Its normal ? but after i restart my windows fan stops for a while, but after 20-30 min starts again to work but in a silent mode.

Dell Precision M3800 / 16GB RAM/ Core i7 4712HQ / 256 GB SSD / NVIDIA Quadro K1100M

My laptop has an unusual problem. Every time I start using Laptop; the fan starts working at high speed for 3-4 seconds after 10-15 mins of usage and system hangs until fan stops. After that everything works fine. Until I restart/start again fan works normally and there is no problem at all. I already reported this to UK Dell as I'm having warranty Until 2019. But even after 4 replacements of Motherboard, RAM, Heat Sink and Fans; the problem still there.

Somebody please help me with this. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone. I'm in the process of installing Windows 10 on my new Inspiron 7567, and I noticed after having installed all the drivers listed on the Drivers & downloads page that a device remains unknown in Device Manager:

USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2A

After doing a brief search it sounds like this would be the Bluetooth controller, but there's no driver listed for that on the laptop's support page: www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/servicetag/1p17y32/drivers?lwp=rt . Am I missing sometyhing?

My company has given me a Dell XPS 13 (Core i7, 7th Gen). It came bundled with Windows 10 (64x)  and a BIOS password.

Performance-wise it is a fantastic laptop.

But I have an issue which has almost taken its toll on me. I'm new in the community. Please let me know if I am posting this question on the wrong forum.

The problem is the unreasonable amount of restarts. It is very often that when I lock windows to go get coffee and come back, I face the BIOS password prompt which means my windows has restarted. At first I thought it is only an issue related to Wifi. So through device manager I told my Wifi not to cause any restarts. But it was not just about Wifi. I get 3 of these restarts on average on a daily basis.

I have used Windows 10 before and I never had the same situation. 

I'm not sure if this is a hardware or a software problem. I hope it is the latter. But how can I troubleshoot this issue? Can I get more information about these restarts through Event Viewer logs?

I can provide more information if needed.

Hello,

This is Devendra from India. Recently I purchased Dell 15 3567 (i7,8GBRAM). After purchasing I notice that it performance it not good and in Task Manager the Disk usage is always high then I contact to Dell Agents in India below are the Service Request number.

I contact lots of time to different-different Dell Agents. Each time they try some solutions like Resetting PC setting, Refreshing OS image, by disabling background services, Replace Hard Drive but unfortunately the actual issue has not been detected and fixed yet.

I've requested to them to send Dell engineer to my place to check the system, so exact issue can detect. But they can't help. It has been since a long time that I'm requesting.

My 3552 has significant performance problems.

• When the system is plugged in, it says "AC power wattage and type cannot be determined. Battery may not charge. System will adjust the performance to match the power available. Please connect a Dell 45W AC adapter or greater for the best system performance
• Then it will move to a black screen.
• I unplug and plug back in again and I get the homescreen.
• After 15 minutes plus of booting back up, system performance will be extremely slow. Hard to type or call up any application

As a separate symptom, when I power up with the battery in, a message displays:

When I have the battery in, I get a message, "Your battery is temporarily disabled. Please turn off computer and try again when the unit back to operational temperature."

Can someone tell me what this error means? The error in question is being thrown on an Inspiron 5555 after booting into diagnostics. I looked up the error code on the Interactive Support Agent but receive a message that says:

Hello,

I have a problem on Windows 10 where I have installed the drivers, but when I try to login with my fingerprint, Windows Hello says that it can't recognize my fingerprint even though it is enrolled. I uninstalled the drivers in device manager, but then when I try to update the driver, Windows can't find the drivers. Please help in resolving this problem.

Hi all, I bought a Dell Inspiron 5577 with 8GB of DDR4 2400mhz memory about a month ago.

With a virtual machine and two instances of visual studio, I am very closing to maxing it out. As you probably know, memory has become rather expensive over the past few months and I have found some slightly less expensive memory on Amazon, but it is 2666mhz. (Link below)

I was wondering if I were to use this memory, if it would just down-clock to match the slower memory that is already in the laptop (like how it does in desktops) or just not work. Does anyone have any ideas?

i purchased a alienware 17 r4 and received it on october 24th. right out the box i noticed my games wouldn"t run right when i had the default 120hz on in nvidia control panel. my games would stutter so i put all graphics options on low and still laptop would drop down to 1 frame then go back up every 20 seconds. the next couple of weekends i tried to play my games at 60hz and that worked. i paid for the 120hz panel so yesterday tied everything i could think of. i overclocked the system, flashed new bios, still no 120hz game play.  i then went on dells website and ran a diagnostic check and my monitor went black.i called dell and they did a remote access and determined that i need to send in for repairs. a brand new laptop, really? in for repairs? these things happen but the more i look into dell the more stories i hear about these laptops being rushed and not properly built with heatsink problems and other things. do i send back for a refund or wait for a brand new computer to have repairs and maybe work as intended?     dell service tag 956561384 express service code <Express service code removed>

I have the XPS 15 with 32 gb SSD + 1tb HDD. I was planning to unraid both drives and swap the 32gb SSD with a 512 gb one. However, after some digging, I found that the ssd slot is for m2 SATA which is quite slow compared to NVMe SSD. 

So, I just wanted to know. Can the samsung 960 PRO (NMVe PCIe) fit in this or do I have to get an m2 SATA SSD like the WD blue SSD?
