I have tried updating the BIOS and going through the troubleshooting steps from the Dell website, but the touchscreen is not working. When I run the device manager, it does not show HID-compliant touch screen, so I'm assuming its missing the driver. Can anyone help me figure out how to download this and fix the issue? Thanks

Killer 1535 - anyone replaced Dell's drivers with Killer originals?
The Killer website offers now downloading version 1.3.1350 of their manager and driver (being now 12.0.0.318) while Dell's website is still offering 12.0.0.312 driver.
Has anyone tried to install drivers directly provided by Killer rather than those provided by Dell? What was the effect?

My husband is considering purchasing one and would like to know if they can be hooked up to an external monitor and dvd drive? How would you do that in a simple way as we are not techies.

Dell Precision 3520 - 90-watt Slim Power Adapter
I was trying to find a slim power adapter for my Precision 3520 with Xeon processors. I ordered the 90-watt power adapter since the slim 130-watt adapter has a 4.5 mm connector.
I powered up the laptop and received a warning message that the 90-watt isn't enough (the laptop came with this wonky 130-watt adapter that is pretty big). I ended up ordering a 130-watt adapter with 4.5 mm connector and I'm waiting on a 4.5-7 mm adapter to get here to make it work.
Today I thought I would try it out. I hooked the 90-watt adapter up with the battery at 80%, opened up Kaspersky and started a full scan while also performing a backup, opened up the Netflix app and started streaming a movie, then opened up Philips SpeechExec Pro to transcribe with Dragon Medical Practice Edition in addition to the following apps: IE, Edge, Outlook/Word/PowerPoint/Excel/OneNote 2016, Sonos, Pandora, Amazon Music, Weather, Weather Channel, iTunes, Dropbox. I was connected to an external monitor via HDMI and had the laptop lid open so the built-in screen was also on.
The 90-watt adapter was more than enough, although the charge took a long time to get to 100%.
I'm posting this in case anyone else is wanting a slim power adapter instead of the large one that comes with the laptop. Google searches didn't find anything productive, so hopefully this will show up for anyone interested and that Googles it.

Horizontal Lines Across Laptop Display
Hello! A week ago I bought the Dell 7567 and since the first day I've had it, the display shows a couple of horizontal lines across the top of the display. It doesn't seem to be an issue with the internal hardware because I have an external monitor connected to the laptop which does not show the lines but maybe I'm mistaken. Is this an issue with the laptop's panel itself or drivers? How do I resolve this issue?

Dell Inspiron 7568 cannot use SSD?
I have Dell Inspiron 7568 and about to replace the hard disk with SSD (Example: Samsung EVO 850). However, Dell online customer care told me that I can't do that because my laptop doesn't have "SSD slot" (I don't know what he called "SSD slot") . What's weird is that there's a video on YouTube about replacing Dell Inspiron 7568 hard drive with SSD using the SATA interface.
I just want to clarify this. Can my laptop use SSD using SATA interface?

TPM disappeared from BIOS. BitLocker won't resume (TPM cannot be found)
I have a Latitude 5580 with everything up-to-date (done via Dell Command Update). Current version of the BIOS is 1.5.2
Lately, I needed to enter the bitlocker recovery key every single boot. After investigating, I found out the TPM option disappeared from the BIOS.
Then, I disabled BitLocker but cannot resume due to 'A compatible Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Security Device cannot be found on this computer' message.

Two external monitor and my built-in LCD on my Dell Precision M6700?

I have a Dell Precision M6700 and I wanted to use a 2 external monitors and the built-in LCD. I was able to do this on my Dell M4700, but have been unsuccessful with the M6700. I can get the built-in and either external to work, or both externals to work, but not all 3.

Latitude E6420 wont boot, screen is black, cannot interpret LED error signals
9 days ago I was given an E6420 that was quite healthy but protected by bitlocker and I had no password. Since then I've tried every trick to recover and all have failed. The BIOS is locked so I could not change any settings, not even the date. On boot up the system asked for a password before letting windows 7 run.
I figured if I formatted the HD and started over all would be OK, and after a great deal of difficulty, I did that on another computer. But bitlocker was still there.
I looked for ways to "zeroize" or reset the BIOS and failed. I disconnected the big and coin batteries and shorted the terminals overnight and started again. Nothing changed. I took an ohmeter and touched it to the battery terminals with the battery removed to force a reset. That changed things. Now, when I boot it, the screen is black and two LEDs flash. I cannot find anyplace to decrypt the flashing LED error signal on start up, white battery and wireless LEDs flashing.
It now acts like an uncoordinated collection of wires and chips. I meant to make it forget it had bitlocker protection but went far beyond.
I'd love to read any suggestions. The dell site has not been helpful at all, unlike every other Dell I've worked on.

Re-docking a Latitude E7450 and USB devices failing
If I dock my laptop, fire it up and log into Windows, then I want to move away I undock and work away. When i come back to my desk and re-dock the USB devices don't work anymore mainly being my keyboard and mouse. I have a Dell c-dock. The mouse and keyboard work fine on the laptop.
I've updated all the drivers and BIOS which were old but hasn't helped.
Any suggestions.

My desktop says
"Alert! A 0 E A.C. power adapter has been detected, which is less than the recommended 65 W adapter originally shipped. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available. Please contact A DELL 65 W adapter or greater for the best system performance."
But we are using the adapter that came with the computer .

My 2 year old Dell Inspiron : Error checking media fail
I enter F2, however cannot find Windows boot manager under Boot -- UEFI Boot. The only available options are UEFI Onboard LAN IPv4 and IPv6.
I even tried finding Windows boot manager using f12, please help

Dell inspiron 15 7567 backlight bleed
I recently bought a dell 15 7567 with 4k screen. It has backlight bleeding on three corners. More pronuced on left top and bottom side. . Even at 20% brightness there is still backlight bleeding.
Will dell fix it?

I have the drivers installed, but when I try to enroll my finger, I get an error saying Capture Failed The Biometric Unit is not in the correct state to perform the specified operation Do you want to try again to enroll this finger. I tried multiple times to no avail. Any suggestions?

E4310 Backlight Keyboard
Good Morning/Afternoon,
I have recently purchased a second hand E4310 with 3gb of ram and an ssd. It also came with the backlit keyboard. Every time i use Fn+right arrow i see a box on the screen showing its either on, off or on ambient sensor. Im running win 10 pro. Everytime I open the laptop the backlight turns on momentarily on then off. I have tried the time out setting, I cant even get it turned on so I don't think that's the issue. I think I may be missing a driver. Anybody have a fix?

Hello, I'm a proud owner of a Dell Precision 3510 and I've gotten myself into a bit of a predicament. I bought my Precision from my company a while back, just a quiet transaction with the management, cash, with no proper documentation. Later, I was laid off and no longer work for that company. So, when I entered the BIOS to change the administrator password so I could upgrade to Windows 10, I found it locked. I tried a few tricks and got the admin password without using the BIOS. Now, I need to access it. What kind of proof must I show Dell for them to accept and help me? I understand there's a fee as it's outside of warranty.
