I bought Dell Inspiron 15 7567-6218 and I would like to upgrade RAM. Is it possible?

Configuration:

Intel Core i7 7700HQ Kaby Lake
15.6" LED IPS 3840x2160
RAM 8GB DDR4
NVIDIA GeForce GTX Ti 1050 4GB
SSD 128GB + HDD 1TB 5400

Are there 2 slots for RAM or only one? If only one, will work 16GB DDR4 2400 SODIMM?

Sir, I have Dell Inspiron N5010 15R. It's battery has already exhausted and won't charge. I use it fully on power supply. Yesterday I shut it down properly but now it's not turning on. Only shows LED glowing. But no sound no display even if left as it for 15 minutes and immediately turns off if power button is pressed.  I tried starting through removing alternate RAM but that too didn't work. Also tried to start it after removing the battery but of no use. Please kindly suggest a solution.

Order# Cannot be completed - Part reached End of Life

I had placed this order for an Alienware 17 R4 3 days ago and the order status page is still saying "Order Status-Confirmed" and Estimated Delivery Date 4/26/2017 - 5/3/2017.

This raised my suspicion and I emailed Dell Customer Support to check order status. I get a response stating that:

"I regret to inf0orm you that the order cannot be completed  as one of the part selected has reached it end of life. Request you to contact our Order Modification Department to look for an alternate product"

Ignoring the typos in the response, I see that the Order Status page still hasn't been updated with this info and I can't reach the Order Modification Department on a Saturday. I was expecting the laptop to come to me on expedited shipping which clearly isn't going to happen and now I'll have to wait the weekend out to even do something about this order.

Now coming to my main concern, I had worked so hard to wait for a good discount like the 72 hour sale under which I bought this laptop for that great price. And now it seems like the price might change if I modify the order.

Why can't Dell just replace the expired part or replace it with a newer version for the same price? Isn't it unfair to customers to simply tell them that their order cannot be completed due to an expired part without stating what part this is and they'll have to work through the hoops to modify the order themselves which might now nullify the discounted price? So frustrating. I hope someone can do something about this here. Thank you.

Hi, i have an old Dell Inspiron Mini 1011 netbook and it no longer wants to load Windows.  it does not matter what version of Windows i try and load they all do the same thing.  they begin to load and then freeze when loading.  if i have the screen in a certain position the system will boot but if i move the screen from that point then Windows says that the graphic driver crashed continuously and wont stop.  linux loads perfectly fine but Windows wont load at all.  do i need to get a new screen or screen cable?  is it something with the motherboard that is causing the problem?  can someone please help me with this problem and try and help my figure out this problem?

XPS 15 - No NVidia

I purchased a XPS 15 (9550) from eBay. The system has the i7 CPU, UHD touch, 8gb RAM and 250gb SSD. There is no NVidia showing up in system manager. Does anyone know if 2016 model shipped without this GPU. All the media I have seen has said a NVidia should be on this model.

My computer will not boot up.  It gets hung up at the dell screen and the says "No boot device found."  How do I fix this?

Possibly a failing motherboard?

I've had a Dell Inspiron laptop (NR5010, I believe) for about the last 7 years. It's been running Windows 7 from the start. I've had very minimal problems with it over the years - a failed hard drive that I replaced myself several years back and a USB port that stopped working about August of 2016. Other than that, it's just been the occasional instances of freezing/slowness that are mostly fixed by a restart.

Two weeks ago - I left my computer for a while to deal with a family matter. When I returned, I returned to a BSOD. It was the first I've remembered having since my HDD failure years ago. I haven't had one since two weeks ago, but I've noticed a couple of new problems - the time/date on my computer are wrong. When I sync it to internet time, it fixes it for about 45 minutes to an hour but then it starts going in circles. (For instance, if I synced it to internet time at 8 in the morning, I might see it hit 9 o'clock but it will soon pop back to saying 8 and go forward.)

Now, I know this could be a simple CMOS battery issue but then I started noticing this problem - my computer drops its connection to my WIFI. Basically, it will show me that I have full strength but then show the "limited connection/no internet" icon. I either have to restart or turn my wireless signal on my computer on and off to get it to work again.

I haven't heard any beeping on the last couple of restarts and Malware/Antivirus scans came back clean, but I am concerned. I use my computer for my work from home job and a sudden motherboard failure is bad for business. I've had a computer with a motherboard failure before and it seems like I remember it starting similarly - but I could just be being paranoid.

Any thoughts?

Laptop shipped with Samsung PM961 512 GB drive, where is the driver? Service tag shows I should have a Toshiba and it isn't on the driver download page.

According to my service tag, I should have a Toshiba 512 NVMe SSD drive.  However, it is a Samsung PM961.  Where can I get the drivers as these are non-existent on Samsung's website?

Hello

I am experiencing issues with my Dell E6330, it wont turn on. If i press the power button, the led lid on, caps lock led lids on, after that HDD led lids on, and all leds turns off.

The weird part is, that it turns completly on when i change RAM configuration or pull out the bios battery. It try to turn on, it goes off, after 5 seconds it turns on and works. It is possible to access bios menu, diagnostics, even to boot OS. Diagnostics are saying everything is ok.

Any idea what it could be? Holding power button without power supply and battery is not working, also diferent RAM does not make any diference. Also i tried to unplug everything that i could. Bios update is not possible when it is powered on.

Latitude E6230 USB 3.0 Blue screen after installing drivers

I have a problem with two 3.0 USB ports in my latitude E6230 on Windows 7.

After installing Windows and installing this driver:

www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails

I have got blue screen and after reset windows repaired it self.

I followed this order:

Now divers are installed and USB gives power but it doesn't recognize any devices. When I uninstall the driver windows doesn't boot anymore and it restores to the state when driver was installed.

I also tried to install windows again and start installing drivers from USB 3.0 but the result was the same.

Do you have any idea how could I debug the problem?
Here is the print screen of my device manager:

Dell XPS 15 9550 Blue Screen KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION

I initially started having video driver update problem, screen flickering and then blue screen appearing, I fix it by returning to the older version of the driver. Then tried to update the Samsung driver as recommended by someone on the forum, it couldn't be installed.

So now I started having this error KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION, when after closing the lid of the computer I open it, or sometimes randomly.

How can I remediate this problem?

I had the best experience with XPS 13 bought in 2008 that lasted eight years until it got stolen.

The current XPS is disappointing, such an unstable system!

ADD Additional Harddrive

I just purchased an Inspiron 17 i7 7779 2&1 laptop.  It came with an m2 ssd.  I would like to add a 1tb harddrive in the empty bay but I assume there isn't a harddrive bracket or hdd cable already present since it didn't come with an installed harddrive.  Any idea where to purchase the required bracket and cable?
