Laptop light up but not show anything
Hi,
I have a Dell Latitude D630 PP18L.
Today, when i pressed power button on my Dell, It light up but nothing appear.I try to remove battery, power cable and press and hold power button 1 min. then i connect battery and press again but not help.

Network disconnect after inserting USB 3 key
Hi,
At work, we have some DELL Inspiron 5720. We are working on windows 7 x86.
We encounter some problem with the realtek network card (Realtek PCIe FE Family Controler). When i plug a USB3 stick on the port near the LAN port, the network card tells me that the network cable is disconnected. I have to turn off and on again the card to have my connection back.
What i already do :
update bios
update USB 3 driver
update chipset driver
update LAN driver
Funny things :
The problem doesn't appear when i use a USB 3 extension cable
When i turn off and on again the card, i can ping other machine again but i can't ping the DELL laptop from other machine (firewall disable)
The problem doesn't appear on windows 8.1
The problem appear on Windows 7 (fresh install) with the last driver provided by DELL or the last driver on Realtek Website
The problem appear on all my DELL Inspiron 5720
does anyone have some idea to solve this problem ?

Laptop booting problem
Had error, did data vault recovery, When I factory reset my computer, it keeps on looping. It keeps saying "setup will continue after restarting or setup is preparing your computer for first use." been running for over an hour. got error after downloading system updates. "reverting changes windows 7 updates"-

im off to trading standards this is pathetic
ok so I had a replacement laptop sent to replace my old dell laptop that failed, 5 months in iv had 2 hard drive failures, dell have sent out an engineer 6 times, 4 times they don't turn up and the other 2 times they cant fix it.. its getting pathetic, im sick to death calling there premium number for 30 mins at a time only to be passed from pillar to post,
1st call out = no show (cant find my address!)
2nd call out =no show
3rd call out = hard drive replaced, motherboard needs replacing
4th call out = motherboard replaced, now all usb ports need replacing
5th call out = no show
6th call out = no show
dell your disgusting, your customer service is pathetic, an your engineers are a shambles...
iv never once in my life contacted a 3rd party to get involved to help with a problem but this is getting embarrassing and insulting..

Precision M6800 DVD noise or defective DVD drive
Hello Dell,
Got this new Precision M6800 and the DVD drive makes noise for almost every 2-3min but somehow it was solved following the A03 update and UsB 3.0 update. logged to BIOS and confirmed update. The DVD noise was gone but actually went back for 15-25min of use. I was installing different programs for work but DVD installation stopped and can't be read anymore. Is there any other way to fix this?

E4310 Power ON problem, Blinking power and battery light only.
My latitude E4310 cannot power up after a week of not used.
I bought the laptop in 2010 and its working fine until this year. Last 2 months, it began to display a hard disk failure warning that says I need to replace the hdd before its totally unusable. After a week I replaced the hdd with new seagate 320gb and re-installed the os and the drivers. After the installation, the problem in power-up began. In the beginning of the problem, the laptop will power up after 3 to 5 tries. I already updated the BIOS and some drivers but still the problem exist and after a week that I did not use the laptop, now I can't power it up even the battery is full and the charger was plugged.
Please anybody can help me what to do?

This kind of thing tends to happen within a few minutes of booting up, and you lose whatever you've got open or are doing.

On a different note, I also think I might be interested in a tablet...but I don't know which one would be for me...I basically would love something that does what my laptop does for me, but is light and portable and easier to use just anywhere...oh, and that has phone capabilities. ^^' Since my old sliding Sprint cell is really kind of lousy now. So any insight into which types of devices I should be looking into would also be greatly appreciated. :)

Dell 1545 inspiron laptop never turns on after proper shut down for days
Hi All,
I'm new to the forum. I normally do a lot of research before joining any forum but this problem with the laptop is extremely confusing.
I had Dell 1545 for about 3 1/2 years. Never had any issue at all. I have always used with an extreme care. One night used it as normal and switched off and next day it didn't turn on. I tried so many things. I bought a voltmeter tested out the power plug (worked fine), the genuine charger (worked fine), dc jack, battery panel tested, power button board tested, nothing seem to be faulty.
One day i read about removing the battery and adapter and holding the power button for 30-60 sec and then putting back the battery/adapter. It worked! I was happy to find the solution but the problem is after using it that day few times, again next day it would not turn on!? I have been having this issue for 3-4 weeks now. It turns on when it wants to and its extremely frustrating 
I never had any issue with my laptop but this recent problem is testing my patience to the extreme! Any advice, help, suggestion, support, guidance, direction, solution will be highly appreciated!

My wireless LAN is not working when i connect my laptop's charger pin to the laptop. What should I do?
I have a DELL 15R 5521 Core i5 1.80GHz with 4GN RAM 64 bit operating system with Windows 7. I have an issue with my laptop that my wireless LAN does not work whenever I connect my laptop's charger connector. This issue is at my home, however when I use the same laptop in university campus, it works perfectly fine on battery and wireless LAN also works perfectly. I bought it in first week of May 2013. What's the issue and its solution? Kindly help me.

E6410 the blue Fn doesn't work
When press both blue Fn at the left bottom and the F(1,2.... 12) which has corresponding blue icon the the bottom on each F key, the blue function doesn't work. E.g. when I press both Fn and F11 which suppose to be Print Screen, but it does't work.
What should I do? I had using the website to detect my laptop and update all the drivers, but it still doesnt work.
BTW, my laptop OS is win7.

DELL Studio xps 1645 DRIVERS!!
Hello! i have a dell studio xps 1645 and i whant to install windows 8 or 8.1 on it BUT i dont have the drivers for thouse 2 windowses i had tried to install the drivers in compatibility mode but the laptop dont run very smothh enspacilly when i run games and other for ex when i tried to install a game that i had played on windows 7 on windows 8 and 8.1 the game run verry laggy .SO my question is when DELL will release drivers for windows 8and 8.1 for xps 1645 because from 2010 Dell hasn't release anything new for this system i dont whant windows 7 anymore i whant something new the society has evolved so we expect that DELL whould release SOMETHING NEW.!!!!

Installed win7 into the Recovery partition by accident.
I goofed up. I have a Studio 1555 that I needed to reinstall Win 7 onto. Dell Tech Support could not find any signs of Win 7 having a re-install package already on the machine so they sent me a new disc. However I screwed up and installed the Win OS onto my HDD but into a parition called the 'Recovery" partition. I later reinstalled it onto the primary partition but now when I boot up, I stop at screen called the "Windows Boot Manager" which is listing two installs of win7, one on the recovery drive install and one on the much larger primary partition. I use the second install which goes to the primary partition but the recovery partition is so small the Win7 OS is talking up most of the free space and constantly sending me messages that the drive is almost full. How can I delete the version of Win 7 on the recovery partition and stop the constant messages from the control system that says my disk is almost full. It is also showing up with a letter to identify itself which never showed up better. Also,what is the recovery partition supposed to be used for? I don't think it ever worked or was used, as I backup to a network storage device.

Dell Inspiron 17 7737 becomes unresponsive when display turns off.
When the display on my Dell Inspiron 7737 laptop turns off as a result of the power plan settings, the laptop becomes unresponsive; pressing keyboard keys or touchpad buttons does not cause the display to turn on again.
The only way I have found to recover from this situation is to turn the laptop off and on. I would expect the display to turn on again following any user activity.
Is there a resolution to this fault?
Dell Update reports that my laptop is "current with the latest important updates from Dell". I have installed the Microsoft Windows 8.1 update.
