For the last two weeks i have been getting random pixelated display (picture attached)....
I have tried connecting the laptop to an external display while it is pixelated and the output to the external display is fine.
This pixelated problem is fixed on reboot,
i have scanned the complete system using extended test using dell support assist and no errors were found,
can anyone tell me what would be the cause of this error??
I have a XPS 15 9550 UHD, 1TB SSD and using the laptop without major problems for 15 days. Today I have tried to boot into safe mode for windows and pressed the fn+F8 button randomly on the start. It didn't work and i have retried the boot. But right now the the screen is always black, no signs of any Dell Logo or bios login. I can see that there is power on the notebook, fans are working, there is lights on the keyboard but the screen is black and there is absolutely no signs of boot. I also have press and hold the FN + Power button. It didn't work. I have tried everything but its not booting. What could be wrong here? I removed battery and again plug in the battery, but facing the same issue. By the way, I purchased this laptop 15 days ago from Pakistan is it dead or still hope for repair??

I bought new Dell 15 7559 laptop about 3 days ago. My webcam not working at all even I enable it at privacy setting. No imaging device appear when I look up in device manager. How to fix this do I need to call dell support service?

For some reason my Dell XPS 9550 will go through stages where it will act normal but all of sudden it will say "0% plugged in, charging" but it doesn't charge. I've tried many differeny things but it seems to be a hardware issue. Read it could be the motherboard.
There's something wrong with my colours. I ran a test on Gta V and the sky looks more grey than light blue and in general all is blurry and washed out. I know, is not the best display, but is something that I've never experienced in any display. Could it be a driver issue? I've installed the latest.

got my new Inspiron 15 7579 2-in-1 and checked the bios. It says SATA-0 none and SATA-1 lists my ssd. Does that mean I can add (if there is space) a second drive on SATA-0? like msata size?
I remember in the past DELL laptops had msata drives + a real HD inside but I'm not sure if there is also space in these ultrabooks.

Trying to downgrade from Win 10 to 7, and I can get the computer to boot off the USB, and start the installation. The problem arises when I get the error about not finding the CD/DVD drivers.
I have tried switching the USB drive to another port, turned off secure boot, turned off UEFI (tried it on), legacy, blah blah...
Good thread here, but I still have the issue

I have DELL INSPIRON N4010 laptop which works fine.
Yesterday I using it with AC adaptor on and suddenly it turns off.
Now when I press the power button with or without AC adaptor it won't give any response and no LED is turn on.
When I connect AC adaptor the charging LED is glow for 4 to 5 sec. and turns off.
I also tried to hold the power button for 30-40 sec. by removing battery and AC adaptor and then reconnect battery but still, I face the same issue.
Please, could you tell me possible issues?

I received my XPS13 9360 with i5 KabyLake processor, 8Gb of RAM, and 256Gb SSD configuration today and I'm impressed with it so far. I ordered a 9350 model with the (i5 SkyLake) last month but returned it to Dell for a refund due to the infamous 'noise' issue, sub-par network card performance, and intermittent speaker distortion. I really like the XPS 13 and dreaded have to send it back; I just couldn't accept the shortcomings and deficiencies considering the amount of money spent. Well, it is obviously too soon to say that there aren't any gremlins hiding and lurking in the 9360 version but I can certainly say that this particular system is working flawlessly--perfect. As far as noticeable differences in processor performance, I really can't say (or care)--I only had the 9350 for a couple of days so I have no basis to compare. I'm not into hair-splitting or super-sonic performance and could care less about the nanosecond differences in the SkyLake and KabyLake processors. I would have been quite happy with the 9350 had it not been for the gremlins I noted. I'm not the into gamer stuff anyway--the i5 processor is quite suitable for my purposes. However, the little bugger is super fast-scary fast! I am very impressed with the new Killer network card, too. Man, the thing is truly awesome; it is very stable with excellent range (throughout our two-story home). Lastly, the laptop shipped to me is dead quite--except for very subtle fan noise when the processor is under load. The bottom line is that I am quite pleased so far. This is all the feedback I have on day one and will post a follow-up later, whether good or bad. Just thought I would share my thoughts with interested parties. I hope everything goes well because I really like this little laptop.

One of our devs broke the main latch on the front of his Dell M6800 and it is partially stuck and the lid will not clip in to keep closed.
I would like to find the replacement part which I believe is SKU dellm6700latch. there the same from what im seeing.
Can anyone confirm this is the correct part and if known anywhere apart from the USA one can be purchased.

I have a fairly new laptop and the cover is peeling from the casing. Is this covered by the warranty as I would have thought this should not be happening so soon. The service tag is CJY4J72 and the laptop is less than a year old.

Windows 10 in always in 90-100% disk usage
I've stopped Windows Update, Transfer background Service, Superfetch, Startup Optimiziation, Windows Search.. but the problem is still here.

I just switched my HDD to an SSD and re-downloaded Windows 8.1 and I am having issues with my resolution.
It only gives me 2 options for resolution, 3200 x 1800 and 1024 x 768 (which it says is recommended). When I switch it to 3200 x 1800, everything is tiny.
Where did my (3840 x 2160) resolution go? Why isnt' that an option? Any ideas on how to fix this?
I am looking for the hard drive screws (not the caddy screws) that hold the caddy+hdd assembly securely with the chasis. I ordered from Ebay a couple of times and they send me everything but the 3 hard drive screws that I need. Where can I find them? What is the part name/number? Your help is much appreciated.

I've had a Dell XPS 13 L22X for around 6 months now. I bought it second hand off eBay and it has worked fine for the last few months. Today however, I got the plugged in, not charging problem. I've tried the most common fixes, such as deleting and reinstalling the Driver, checking the BIOS etc but all to no avail. I took it to a local IT shop who tried a different charger, non-official one and it worked fine with it, charged the laptop up as usual. My question is could it have been just the charger not working correctly and therefore not charging? It doesn't show any signs of wear and tear, there's no cuts etc. and the brick seems fine on the outside. Does anyone know whether the charger has reached the end of its life and is therefore in need of a replacement, or is this just a temporary fix and I'll need more substantial repairs at some point in the future?
