I accidentally replaced the driver for the integrated webcam on my Dell XPS 15 9550 using an application called Zadig. I had meant to replace the driver for a different device. Now, Skype and other applications won't recognize my webcam. How can I fix this? Thank you.

Accidentally replaced driver for integrated webcam (XPS 15 9550) and changed device type?
Today, I wanted to use an application called Zadig, which replaces the drivers for USB type devices. However, I accidentally replaced the driver for the integrated webcam! Applications like Skype will no longer recognize the webcam. Additionally, after checking the device manager, the integrated webcam is now located under USB devices... My computer thinks it is a USB device now. I uninstalled the driver and deleted the driver software, and restarted the computer. However, it just reinstalled the incorrect driver, and it is still under the USB category in device manager. I cannot seem to find the integrated webcam driver for the XPS 15 9550 on the dell website. Can somebody please help me out?

Battery Dell XPS 15 L502X
I have purchased a 9-cell battery for 1 Dell XPS 15 L502X. But do not know why that was the only use battery non-rechargeable , the machine is off continuously. The battery must be mounted to the new boot. But go in windows remain disabled. Do not know if it was due to counterfeit or battery problems, please just teaching people to please.

Maximum RAM per slot and in total for Inspiron 3521
I have an dell inspiron 15 (3521) pc with i3 processor.
What is the maximum RAM in can install per slot and in total on this laptop?
In the technical specification manual under the Memory heading it is mentioned "Configurations supported - 2 GB, 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB". What does this means? Is it per slot or on the whole?
Should I always install same capacity RAM on the two slots (like 2x 4GB) or am I allowed to mix up like one 4GB and one 8GB?

I am using Dell Inspiron 3541 laptop. Bluetooth option is not there
At first when i was using Windows 8.1 bluetooth option is present and I connected it too. Recently i have searched for bluetooth and option is not showing. I tried to install all the drivers but of no use. Bluetooth option is not available. Now after that i installed windows 10 but even then bluetooth option is not there. What to do? Any one please help.

Dell WD15 no audio nor video
Hello, I have a Dell XPS 13 with a WD15 dock, the last days the dell audio stopped working but I fixed reinstalling the drivers (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3517/t/19993911
But also my dock WD15 stopped displaying video or audio. The ethernet and the usb works fine but I cant output any video as the scree says no HDMI signal detected. I've tested the HDMI with other computer and the monitor works fine.
I've downloaded and installed the firmware and driver for thunderbolt and the Realtek driver from here: http://www.dell.com/support/home/es/es/esbsdt1/product-support/product/dell-dock-wd15/DRIVERS?rvps=y
If I go to playback devices i can see the monitor audio (VW246) but the dock audio shows as not connected:
In windows devices manager there isn't any device without controller.

Dell Latitude E5450 Won't boot - only black screen
Hi, my dell laptop won't boot. no beep codes, and I have 2 different LED POST codes
When charger is plugged in the code is
ON-FLASH-ON or SOLID-BLINKING-SOLID
When charger is unplugged, battery only:
ON-FLASH-FLASH or SOLID-BLINKING-BLINKING (the blinks are not the same time, they alternate)
And after some time of trying, the laptop will boot but error will be shown which is this
if I run the diagnostics, result will show that memory is okay, but it will fail the test when it is testing the hard drive.
Is this a motherboard problem? I tried re-seating the RAM but same problem with occur.

XPS 9550 - new MS updates kill USB ports
I'm running XPS 9550 with Windows 10 x64 Professional. A lot of users (not only Dell users in fact) have reported that previously released KB3194496 killed their ability to use USB devices. I was one of the victims of this issue and the only solution for me was to uninstall this update completely and disable (hide it) from automatic reinstallation.
This morning another KB3194798 was installed on my Dell XPS laptop with exactly the same effect - USB ports are dead and my Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller cannot be started nor its driver updated. I can see the message saying: "The software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48).", but there are no updates for my model at the Dell site...
I understand that the newer KB included some buggy part present in the older KB and that's the reason my USB ports aren't working again. It seems to be no way to control this, as 1. I don't know which "sub-KB" kills my port and 2. I can't select which "sub-KBs" to install, it's all or nothing...
Does anyone has this problem as well and figured out how to resolve the issue? I can't simply skip any new updates...

Problem with F keys not working on Lattitude e5550\e5440
Hi
Having a real nightmare here with trying to get any of the F keys to work after install of windows 7 from an OS image.
This only occurs in the E5550 and E5440 and due to us needing to dock the laptop and subsequently connect it to a monitor, it is quite an issue for us as we can't use F8 to extend the display.
I have tried reinstalling all the drivers , Chipset then Video drivers in that order as I came across a site that said this should resolve it, but it clearly hasn't
for what it is worth I have also tried installing a new OS from the disk but for some reason only on these make of laptops IE isn't updating from our wsus server which is also odd, so we are stuck with IE 8 no matter what we try and do (manual install will not work) .
We have tried more or less everything and we have a lot of these laptops so any help is greatly appreciated. We may have to look at a another make of laptop in our company if we can't get a fix for this which would be a shame really but they are useless to us without the F keys working right

Infinite boot up loop
I have an Inspiron 7720 laptop I've had for a couple years from the Dell online store and it has always been reliably fast with windows 8. I recently upgraded to windows 10 and it is so slow that I decided to reinstall windows 10 and get rid of all my installed apps and personal files by selecting the recovery option. During the process, it said something was wrong and gave no error code. Now everytime I turn it on, it shows the Dell logo with black background saying it hadn't been properly shut down for about 10 seconds then shows the same thing again infinitely. When I press F12, it just shows a stretched out version of the logo and message. I've looked up about this problem but they all involve removing hardware. I'm not a technical person and am afraid to take out parts of my laptop, especially since it has been working just fine until windows 10 came along.

Intel Wireless Dual Band AC 7260 issue
I just got the internal adapter Intel Wireless Dual Band AC 7260. I couldn't get it to work at ac speed, it always connects at 54mbps. I have another usb external DLink AC wireless adapter which works fine.
Just wondering if I have to do anything (config/setup) with the Intel internal wireless adapter to make it work at ac speed. I have been to device manager and check but it doesn't seem to have any option for ac mode.
Any help would be appreciated!

Tried installing Intel XTU and overclocking it does not work it seems over clock is disabled?
Went into performance in bios and it is supposed to be enabled for boost and hyperthread
I turned off speed state control and C-Step
Anyone know what bios I need or how I can over clock this unit?
It rated fro 2.5Ghz to 3.6? and i think im only at 2.5Ghz
Thermal Temp only goes upto 60 degree Celsius
I know we can push it harder than this.

my laptop is E5450, I downloaded latest drivers for my service tag. I'm running linux ubuntu with kernel 4.4.0 and trying to setup secure card reader to be visible in Win 8.1 virtual machine.
ControlVault device is not visible at all in VM and I tried to setup option 'CV radio only' to disabled.
When I try to use ushrediomode64.exe with -n option I got 0x80004 error,
can some1 help me with this to find a reason why radio mode can't be changed/disabled.
I tried ushdiag.exe from FreeDOS but also without result, 'CV radio only' is always enabled,
