I have a XPS 13 9333 and there is a bug inside of the screen which is annoying me a lot.
I would like to know if someone has had this problem before and what the best solution was?
I am planning to sell this laptop and this bug will depreciate the total value of the laptop.
Below are a few screenshots with the bug. The warranty finished in January 2015, should I expand it to remove this bug? Please tell me your opinion?

So, sometimes my laptop will randomly "spaz out" and the right side will have an epileptic seizure. Like, it's essentially what it would look like if I were to use all 10 fingers (I know, 8 and 2 thumbs) by touching rapidly up and down the right side of my screen. It will randomly do this, closing the first tab of whatever I was working on and most of the time opening the calendar/clock and spam-flipping through the months list. I tried to record the problem but it's either too inconspicuous or it doesn't do it. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
So, basically, I was trying to reinstall my computer this afternoon.
Everything was pretty good, until a point where the computer is stuck at 99% for preparing the computer=_=
And then, I restart the computer......
Everything looks fine, better when I was trying to reinstall the computer again. I found out that I lost the factory recovery=_= And, also, the installation was failed=_=
Guys, I guess I need help.......Just give a way to re-install the computer=_=

I am posting here today because i cannot find any solution to my problem.
I have been using my Dell Inspiron 15 7537 since 2014 and never had a problem with it, I am an IT and i wanted to reinstall my windows OS together with Linux , everything goes smooth except the fact that i cannot install the nvidia drivers.
I tried everything, dell center, intel driver update, dell website, nvidia detection tool...
Please help me with this issue I have been doing my research and tried everything, if you need any kinda of belarc report i will provide as many as you need

Hi,
in an email today, Dell Hong Kong assured me that the new XPS13 2016 supports Ubuntu 15.04.
How can that be? The Skylake architecture will gain proper support in the near-future 4.3 kernel release. The DW1820A chipset seems to be either Qualcom or Broadcom.
I really want to buy this laptop now, but there is no documentation yet on this claim.
Can I trust this?
My battery will not charge past 7%. Yet according to all diagnostics and the Dell battery health meter, it is working perfectly. I have tried taking it out and replacing it, plugging the laptop into another outlet and lots of other suggestions I have read, but none of them have made any difference at all. The status remains "7% available, plugged in and charging". It will not go beyond that. I would be very grateful for any help and suggestions.
I have a Studio 1558 Dell laptop with Windows 7 on it (a few years old). Have been trying to turn it on all day and when it gets to the blue screen where normally it would come up with the log in option, it instead starts flashing blue and black rapidly over and over and won't stop. Help?! Thanks in advance.
The Dell Inspiron 20 - Model 3043 is just 4 months old with me - suddenly developed a boot problem, screen won't go beyond the Dell logo. The standard tests don't show anything wrong......... Dell support is yet to revert with anything to my mail. Anyone any idea?
I attempted to re-allocate some of HDD space yesterday to make room for a Windows 10 upgrade. After re-starting I get a dos screen saying bootmgr.exe cannot be found. I've tried F2 and F12 options to access the recovery partition to fix, but cannot access it. I'm trying to acquire original Windows media to access the recovery options, but am not having any luck finding a download and my system didn't come with a disk. Windows 7 Home Premium.
Any advice?

I am having issue with my laptop when i try to start it, it stays black screen and does not go beyond that. The power light stays stable on. This happens about 8 times out of 10 tries. 2 times it will start and boot normally. I did steps to remove static charge by removing battery but did not help. Please help with solution. Thanks

my dell studio 1537 boots with a black display. I had a display problem once before (1 year ago), and back then the inverter connection were loss.
The laptop boots (i here a lot of hdd access but i see no dell logo or something else). I also strted my laptop with PowerOn+FN but the media bar doesnt show any error codes so everything seams to be clear with video card ...
So i thought the display or display cable could be faulty. The strange thing (and thats the reason why i post something here), is that the display shows up color if i start the laptop with PowerOn+D. That shortcut opens the Display Diagnostic.
So my question is: Why does the laptop start with black screen; but with screen diagnosic the screen seems to work well?
I have Vostro 3450. My lcd screen hinging and back cover had broken. The cover will not stayed closed. Now I connect it to external monitor through VGA port and removed lcd screen and back cover. It works well. The problem is I have to reconnect lcd screen to the motherboard every time in order to boot to windows. Otherwise, it will continues beeping (8 beeps sound) and refuse to boot to the window. I know it was looking for lcd screen. My question is: how can I have computer continue to boot with only external monitor (no lcd screen)? Thanks.

I have a DELL XPS 13 9343.
I have made a Clean install of Windows 10 and downloaded drivers from dell.com.
I am also running Hyper-V.
I get repeated Warnings in my System Envent Viewer saying:
Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.

Just Before i get these events my computer freezes for 10-20 sec. and I can´t do anything.
This is very anoying and I hope there is a fix for this?

Can I go for more than the 5400rpm I had?

My Latitude E7240 can't find the hard drive and won't boot. This happened before after 6 months of use, and the Dell cure was to upgrade the BIOS to A15 and re-install. It has been working for the last 4 months, and now won't boot again.
I ran diagnostics and the hard drive passed twice. It also shows up in the BIOS. The hard drive is a Liteon 128G SSD, which I assume is the LMH-128V2M mSata model.
There is no firmware update listed for the Liteon. The only way I could get it to boot is goto F12 and select the hard drive. However, I get the windows logo and it sits there forever. I'm running Windows repair mode, but it has been going for 4 hours and looks like nothing is happening, even though the storage light is constantly flashing.
Any ideas on what else I could try?
I have ubuntu 15 on Dell XPS 13. All run, without touchpad. I have not an error. I suppose kernel doesn't see it.

I have a XPS 3000 11 2 in 1 for about 2 months. Upgraded it to W10 on my 1st week.
I am facing some temporary fails on ALL KEYS ON THE LEFT SIDE of the keyboard: 1qaz, ` tab capslock, shift, fn an ctrl. Windows key also. From keys 2wsx on, including these, everything works fine.
So, not sure if it is a HW or a SW problem. It seems SW... Fail is temporary, and sometimes related to a boot session. I mean, it starts at windows lock screen... after insisting for a while, I can type the affected letter and after I sign in, it seems the keys and the hole left side come back to life, although it sometimes fail even when logged. Now I am typing normally with no fails.
Any ideia?
