Had to reinstall windows 8 for performance issues and now I am having issues trying to merge the SSD and HDD to how it originally was (which was merged completely). I have installed Intel Rapid store Technology and have attempted to run it in RAID, but will only allow me to extend an additional 30gb of data to my SSD. If somebody could point me in the right direction that would be great thanks.

Laptop Gets power off itself after 10 -20 seconds , it is not able to keep power on more then 10-29 seconds in Inspiron 5010 N series
My laptop gets power off after 10-20 seconds at tge time of booting. If it is able to boot then there is no problem. and it works fine many hours.
if i restart it or any way it gets power off once then it is not able to get boot second time, laptop gets power off after 10-20 seconds at the time of booting. It needs to 1/2 hour then i am able to boot properly. Even daignostics test, or any other event can not be run on the laptop in same period once it gets power off. I have to wait atleast 1/2 hour to power on.
Above issue is in my laptop from last 5 months.
Now new issue is that my laptop is not able to boot or any thing. it gets power off by itself after 10-20 seconds. and it is not able to single time boot or any other operation. it is like spare box now.
can you suggest what is the problem and guide me what to do now.???

DELL Laptop Inspiron N 5110 problem

I have the same Dell inspiron laptop N 5110 with a i 7 configuration. I have had a similar problem described here and, I have always had a continous problem with this machine ever since I purchased it. The problem is I had the same problem my charger's LED light used to go off the moment it got connected to system board but the system was working fine and I was only not able to charge it. So I mylself opened the system completely and reassembled every thing and to my shock the chargers light was blinking now when connected to the system board. All was fine the system started running but the keyboard was not connected properly I guess as it was not working. Then I opened the keyboard again and reconnected it to only find that the display was not turning on while powering up the system. Then I removed everything reconnected everything to only find that the system will not completely turn on now and is now completely dead. I have tried many times but will not turn on. Plz help me diagnose this issue now I am out of warranty now. Plz help . Thanks!!!aptop

Can't read GPU temperatures, DELL 5520
Hi,
I have Dell 5520 with i3 core processor and ATI 7670m GPU.
Don't know why can't read temperatures, my drivers are installed properly beacuse I used service tag.
I have installed Windows 8, also sometimes have problem with loud fan, I think there is maybe link with fan activity and GPU sensor.

Vostro 3360, error 2000-3332
Hi!
I have a brand new Vostro 3360. After restarting windows 8 wanted to update. After updating windows i cant start my laptop. There is a black screen after Dell logo.
I've done diagnostic from boot menu (F12), anв got 1 error. 2000-0332 with video memory.
I found list of Dell errors and advice to go to deafults in BIOS. But i cant do it, because there is another error, now in BIOS. BOOT_MENU_BOOT_ITEMS. Status: Access Denied.
What can i do with my problem?

Latitude E6520 internal motherboard USB connection
Hello there,
I have a question regarding motherboard of dell latitude e6520:
In general im trying to hide my logitech mouse unyifying usb receiver inside of my laptop. I tried using mini pcie- usb adapter but it fails with docking stations (see my prevorious thread for details http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19509641/20378220.aspx#20378220).
So now im thinking of soldering 4 cables (maybe 5 with additional ground) to one of 4 ports usb ports pins. Ill just have to remember to not use that port anymore outside, for example the one thats with esata. But before that, maybe someone could tell me if theres any connector inside that allows doing that? I know some motherboards have that. In that case i wouldnt have to solder to the board, just connect directly.
Any help would be aprichiated.

Laptop model N5050, Service Code removed
My computer keeps giving me a message on videos that I need to install Adobe Flash Player 11. I already have this on my computer. I have installed it, uninstalled it and reinstalled it over and over, but no joy.
Is there someone who could helpme with this problem, please? I have 6 grandchildren that I live so far away from that I can only watch them grow up in videos.

Inspiron N5110 - Boot BCD Error 0xc00000e9
I have seen another post on this but the outcome was different to mine. Any advice gratefully received
Machine is a Dell Inspiron N5110, running Win7 64bit, and is 7 months old.
When I boot I get a \Boot\BCD error (0xc00000e9)
I have by pressing f12 I can run the diagnostics which says
Error Code : 2000-0142
Validation :8788
msg - hard drive 0 - SN 12VUT5GUT selftest unsuccessful status =7
I have tried running WinRE and a Windows 7 installation disk, but these never complete loading. WinRE just shows a blank screen and Windows 7 just shows the windows logo. I have left them running for about 30 minutes each. The point being here, that I cant get to a command prompt to attempt a chkdsk or boot sector fix.
This machine is 7 months old. I phoned Dell support (India call centre?) who said this was a software problem and software is not covered by the warranty. They refused to do anything until I had paid 99.99 for 1 years support. When I protested that this was a hardware problem, they said this could definitely be solved by patching some files and was not hardware, but that would cost me £99.99. If that did not do the trick they would give me my money back and send the machine away.
This cannot be right. I cannot believe their support process puts obstacles in the way on a machine which is still under warranty.
Can anyone offer some advice on how I can get this diagnosed. Is the hard drive broken or not ?

Comparison between installation media
With the new Windows 8 based XPS Ultrabooks, there seems to be two ways to obtain installation media. You can either use the Dell backup app to create it or you can order it fron Dell. If you use the former and choose the "Drivers and Apps" option does that produce pretty much the same thing as would be ordered from Dell?
I ask, because I'd like to perform a reinstall just to avoid all the bloat and have access to as much of my drive as possible. I'd rather have just a clean WIndows 8 install and choose just the drivers I know I need.

DELL Inspiron 5030 beeps 7 times continuously on startup.
Last night my DELL Inspiron 5030 laptop's screen went black and the laptop started beeping. On a restart the laptop sits for a minute and then starts the 7 beep count over and over again. My warranty ran out 9/2012.....the laptop lasted a little over a year. Based on the number of posts in this forum talking about the same exact issue, I do think we are talking about a defect in the 5030 model. What can DELL do to help get this corrected?

XPS 12 Laptop makes loud annoying noise
My XPS 12 Laptop makes a loud annoying noise very often. It was bought 3-4 months back and is new. The sound is made by the fan, blowing warm air through the vents underneath the laptop. This sound occurs even when no processing is seen i.e. when CPU is not utilized. Why is this happening and how can this be fixed?

Inspiron 1545 problem
Hi,
My laptop doesn`t work properly.When I open the internet browser ..the text field is filled with simbols(like when continuously pressing a key).
I restarted it several times and each time a different key is getting "stucked" Ex : " W " " E " " ; "
Now when I start the laptop ...it`s beeping... and I get this message( see link),and the keyboard doesn`t work.

Again , it needs two or three restarts to enter windows. And when it does..windows is running slow...and again that stucked key won`t let me use anything.
So what could cause this?

How to on dell latitude pc m233xt
Hi i have just bought a dell latitude pc m233xt (from charity shop) its a very old laptop, can someone tell me how i connect to the internet we have a modem at home, the laptop has windows xp installed and that seems to be working fine, but when i go into the control panel - internet connections nothing is showing up, so i tried to create a new one but i cannot find anywhere to put the ethernet cable (and i know this sounds dumb) but does this laptop have wireless as there are no wireless buttons so assuming that there isnt one. can anyone help on this simple matter? even letting me know if i have to buy a special adaptor, thank you in advance

Bought Dell XPS 12 i7 3667u is this an official model?
Hey all I bought the Dell XPS 12 i7 3667u online and only afterwards discovered that there's no official mention of that being a supported model. Now I've seen that earlier test models were sent to reviewers with this CPU and I guess the big question on my mind is have I now bought one of these. This is an issue because as I understand it the bios is in a beta stage and throttles up to 50% of the laptops power. If this is a test model is there some way for me to update it to work properly and will it still have things like a warranty etc?

is it cost effective to fix it or will it cost more than it's worth?

I just bought a refurbish 17r se 7720 running windows 7 but cannot find / run this application on the dell site , in a previous post someone said about downloading alc665 but that is no good for my configuration , everytime i hit the waves maxx button on the keyboard it keeps saying install drivers before using , can you have this running windows 7 ?
