I have a Latitude E6330, on Windows 7 64bit, and I will start by letting you know that the motherboard has been replaced under warranty a couple of months ago. It has passed the Dell Diagnostic tests without detecting a problem, all drivers are up to date as well as the BIOS (A14).
For a couple of weeks it's been randomly going to sleep when on battery, but not the typical fade away in windows, it looks like a sudden shut down, then about 10 seconds later the sleep light comes on, and I can wake the laptop up like a normal sleep mode. Then I can use the laptop for a random amount of time until it does it again, and I can keep repeating until the battery runs out a few hours later. It is so annoying that I did not try to see how many times it does it in an hour.
Also, this morning when I turned it on, I thought the laptop just didn't work, until I saw the power light come on at the same time as the HDD light, and it kept doing it. It also did not detect the laptop's screen, with windows only coming up on the external screen. Windows did not detect the laptop screen either. It's as if the power button light was another HDD light all that time. I restarted and tried again, still doing the same thing. It's the third time that I went into the dell diagnostic after going to the boot menu where it seemed to detect the laptop screen, and the laptop's been working fine since, and really does work as if this didn't happen this morning. I don't know if it was a one time problem but I prefered checking with you if you've seen something like this before.
Are there any other Dell tools I can use to diagnose the issues with the laptop? The "My Dell" application does not find problems either.
