I just re imagined my Dell XPS 15 (L521x), but I can't seem to put Cyberlink back on. And because my laptop is no longer under warranty, I can't get Dell's help. Can anyone tell me where I can find the Cyberlink download for Dell laptops.

I am so frustrated. I just called technical support and was told that they couldn't help me because the owner info or whatever doesn't match what I'm giving them. I've been the ONLY owner of this laptop! So I go to change the info to me but it's still not showing up. Yesterday I went to turn on my laptop to do my homework and it would only power on and beep at me 7 times. My warranty has run out and I can't afford a brand new laptop, but I need something since I'm taking online classes. Does anyone know why my laptop is doing this or what I can do to fix it? Any suggestions/help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hi, I hope you can help (sorry if I've posted this into the wrong section, but I'm new here and wasn't sure where else to post it).
I'm using a Dell Studio1749 laptop and haven't had any problems until yesterday evening. Since then, the power supply to the laptop has been really erratic - the blue light around the cable that plugs into the laptop is constantly flickering and cutting out, then coming on again for a few seconds, then cutting out again. The battery starts to charge if the blue light stays on for more than a few seconds, but starts to drain during the "cut out" periods.
I've never encountered this before. I've tried plugging it in to another socket, and that makes no difference. I've also tried plugging other devices into the same gang socket as the laptop, and these seem to work normally, so I'm wondering if it's the adapter that's at fault, or something else?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have an Inspiron N5110 laptop, and I am wondering if it is possible to install a SSD as a boot drive, and leave the stock HDD in as a storage drive. I have seen people that install a SSD caddy in place of their optical drive, and I am wondering If this is possible, and what caddy I would need. If it is not, I would be happy to hear any other suggestions!
Well, I bought a 15R 5521 a couple of months ago for my girlfriend though she hasn't been using it a lot due to work.
This week, she turned it on the laptop and the windows wireless adapter settings indicated that WiFi was turned off. She tried FN-F2 but no change. She still wasn't able to connect to the wireless router.
The Wifi light is on and doesn't turn off with Fn-F2 by the way.
She tried the Wireless Diagnostic tool and it indicated that the Hardware Radio was turned off.
Windows Wireless settings shows the WiFi as off and it is grey'ed out. i.e. can't be changed.
How can it be turned on? She has no internet now - so connecting to a driver site and downloading drivers is not going to be possible.
It was working fine a few weeks ago - it just suddenly turned itself off. She has rebooted but no change.
Help would be great.

Hi, i have a Dell Latitude D430.
I was thinking of rather upgrading it with a faster drive before buying a new one.
The subject laptop that I have had for three years will not stay booted. When powered on it will completely shut down within one minute. The laptop has been cleaned, the fan works. I tried unplugging, removing the battery, holding the power button in for 1 minute, replacing the battery and powering on. Still no luck. Has anyone out there had a similar problem and did they find out what causes this? Would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
My son's Inspiron 15R N5110 was working fine, he was showing us photos of his vacation, then suddenly shut off. Pressing the power button did nothing so I removed the battery and all usb attachments and power cable, held the power button down for a minute to clear the flea power, then replaced the battery, plugged it in and pressed the power button, still nothing, not even lights on the front to show it is plugged in and/or charging (battery was fully charged). I removed the battery, unplugged the power cable and usb and then unseated and reseated the memory chips. Put it all back together and still nothing. Left it plugged in for about an hour and saw that the middle light was on the front, but laptop would still not power on. When error occurred, it shut off, there wasn't any beeping to tell me the type of error and there is no sound when trying to power on, nothing. I suspect it may be a bad motherboard, but, of course, the laptop is a year out of warranty, and if I try to upgrade/renew the warranty, I get a server error message from my laptop and a pop-up window from my tablet telling me I have to call the extended services sales agent. I looked at the configuration using the service tag on the dell support page, but it doesn't tell me what the part number is for the motherboard. It gives me all the other part numbers except the motherboard and I know there are many different motherboards for the 15R. How do I find the part number for the motherboard without having to strip the unit down completely to see so I can find the price of the correct replacement board (if this is even the true problem) to judge whether it would be cheaper to replace the board or extend the warranty and have Dell send me a new board for the laptop? He needs this laptop working soon as it is what he uses for college.
I have just recently received a new XPS 13 with the new haswell i7 processor, 8gb RAM, 256gb ssd, and windows 8.1.
I really like this laptop, but it makes a really bizarre noise. It happens constantly as soon as its powered on, like a high pitched whirring sound from somewhere beneath the keyboard. It also seems pretty inconsistent, like it flickers in frequency, and when you use programs (e.g scroll through webpages) it gets louder.
Can anyone help me with what the issue is here? Any help appreciated.

Hello everyone,
This morning when I woke up I brought my computer out of its sleep and when I went to type in my account password, not all of the keys registered. All of the keys on my keyboard do work however sometimes they need to be pressed 2, 3 or even 4 times before the system will recognize it. Also, at the same time, I noticed my touchpad "skips". It is although my system is lagging and the cursor will jump from one part of the screen to the next. When using my usb mouse the cursor moves as normal. The thing that puzzles me the most is how this just happened overnight. Yesterday evening I remember closing the lid of my laptop with everything working normally and when I wake up, problems.
A little information about my computer. I am using an m1330 with Vista Ultimate. About 2 weeks ago I got an error saying my battery is dead and since then I have been plugged into the wall. Could this problem be related to the battery in any way?

As long as I am running the game, I noticed that the "Fan" is spinning at about "medium" level... but the processor is stayed at a nice temperature.
I wanted to ask "Does the fan have to keep spinning while playing video game"?
Hi, I purchased a Dell Inspiron N5050 6 months ago and it's been working fine until today.
The problem is that Windows 7 does not start properly.
Starting in normal mode, safe mode or last known good configuration does not work.
Pressing F12 on startup leads to the error code: 2000-0142 with validation 75268.
I understand this indicates a hard-drive issue.
What should I do? I want to keep all the files saved the PC.

I just got my new XPS 15, amazing laptop but there's 1 big problem,
A high-pitched scratching/screeching noise is produced from the power button area ONLY when the power is plugged in and the battery is fully charged.
I've seen other forums and others have exactly the same problem, Any ideas?
I found this example http://z.mk/e6vq , the power is plugged into the laptop at 6 seconds.

Just got a brand new laptop, Dell Inspiron 11 3137, and updated to windows 8.1. The touchpad does not work properly now; gestures/scrolling/pointer not working. I've spent over 16 hours getting windows 8.1 installed and then troubleshooting this issue. I've contacted Dell; updated the driver from Dell, even tried installing the latest driver from Synaptic. I even tried setting the Synaptic app to run under the windows 8 version.
Touchpads have been around a long time. It's the last thing I expect not to work properly.
At this point I am ready to send the laptop back and call it quits on windows.
Can anybody help with this?
Appearently, a friend of mine formatted his Inspiron 14 (n4110), and deleted its recovery partition.
Now he *** up everything, and after problems involving driver and BSoD, and asked me if i can help (i've always used dell plataforms).
IS THERE A WAY TO RECOVER THE RECOVERY PARTITION ?
