I need to replace the hinges of my Latitude E5530 and while in want to clean including the heatsink fins. To do this I will need to replace the Heatsink Pads.
What type and thickness is this pad, and what type of paste should I use.

The backup device that DELL sent with my new laptop is 8GB. DELL says I need a 16GB device.
My new DELL laptop came with a little zip-lock bag containing a thumb drive. Since it did not come with any instructions I had to go online to find out what it is and how to use it. But DELL backup (using the reboot then F12 key) says it will NOT work unless the drive has at least 16 GB of empty space. DELL has sent me an 8 GB drive, which is useless. I'm guessing I've paid for this little drive but I need what DELL says I need - a 16 GB drive. If I ask will DELL mail me the correct one? I have the WIN 10 OS.

My battery wont charge when it drops below a certain percent
I have a dell inspiron 3531, when my laptop's battery power drops to a certain percent and i try to plug in my charger, it won't charge and the green light thats on the charger slowly turns off.
It'll charge when the battery is above said percent, but when below it won't charge.
When i turn off the laptop and plug the charger back in it works fine. How do I fix this? Cause I'm tired of having to turn my laptop off just to charge it.

Dell Inspiron 15 5547- No power
I have a laptop that will not power on. Before this level of failure, I was provided the battery temporarily disabled. Rebooted the pc into BIOS. BIOS regonized the adaptar but no battery. Shut the unit down to remove and reseat the battery. Booted into BIOS, same issue.
I read a forum to hold the power button with battery and ac adapter disconnected to discharge device for 30 seconds as it was the longeat recomended. Reconnect battery and attempted to power device. Connected the ac adapter and attemped to power. No power.

Vostro doesnt power up and came up with 3 beeps
My dell vostro doesnt power up and came up with 3 beeps. Recently i installed windows 10.. After that while using it got restarted and shows automatic repair msg..i turned off the laptop and when tried to switch on it came up with 3 beeps and blank screen. Somebody pls help me with a solution

Dell are scammers!
So I bought a Dell laptop from Get It Now and paid for it in full. Originally the support said they would do a rapid replacement for me. I waited a week for this then they said they wouldn't do it as they claim they don't support purchases from those stores. However in their very own Warranty ToS they fail to mention this! Seems unless you buy from a well known retail chain your out of luck. So much for Dell abiding by their own Warranty terms..

Coil Whine and Disconnecting USB Port [XPS 15 9560]
During charging, there is a very audible high-pitched noise coming from the laptop and charging brick.
During charging, there is an issue where the USB 3.0/2.0 port beside the charging port would randomly disconnect. After using a wireless mouse with a dongle attached to the port, the cursor would randomly freeze up every few seconds. Using the right hand side presents no such issues.
Is there a fix to any of this? I purchased premium warranty along with my laptop. Would it be worth it to send it in for repairs?

power manager lite cant determine adapter
My 30 day new dell laptop 1555 only charges occasionally most times the power manager lite box opens stating to use a dell power adapter of 45 or higher. It is the charger that came with it 1 month ago What can I do besides send it back for a refund?

Precision 7720 need to pull coin battery in order to enter BIOS everytime ???
Firmware 1.6.0. With "Switchable Graphics" disabled, laptop LCD will be blank when startup until Windows Login screen. With this, it is not possible to enter bios, boot selection or command prompt. The only way to enter bios is to open the back cover and pull coin battery to load default that enable "Switchable Graphics".
This is ridiculous, M6700 & M6800 does not have this issue. Dell is forcing users to ENABLE "Switchable Graphics" by this way??
Tried with and without "Enable Legacy Bios" still the same.
Windows experience is still normal because the screen shows up at login screen. Before that everything is blank off.
Is this a firmware issue or purposed feature?

Screen issue with the XPS 13 9350

I got my Dell XPS 13 9350 for almost 02 years. I'm re-facing with the problem of Intel graphich HD 520 again: horrizontal striped on my screen and unable to see anything.
I got this once time for nearly 01 year ago. Fortunately, after I reinstall a driver, this problem was gone. I can not remember which driver version I got that time. Now, I updated the lateset driver for graphic and have this issue.
Could you please to tell me how can I fix this issue ? The best suitable driver to fix it. My laptop was run out of warranty and I am in Africa for my project. Everything relating was in my laptop, so I'm stucking right now. Tks a lot for your helps.

Case splits open near the hinge when the lid is opened
I have a Inspiron 15 7559 and when i open the lid, the case starts to pull apart near the left hinge. Does any else have this problem or know to to fix it?

Dell warranty only for 9 months on new purchase
I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 5567 on 2/01/2017 from Reliance Digital Store Pune. Dell support assist shows that my warranty started on 14/09/2016 and will end on 14/09/2017. As far as I know warranty should start from the date of purchase on the invoice. So I searched a little bit and got to know about the ownership transfer process. I did that 15 days ago but still haven't received any notification regarding the same. Can you guys please help regarding this process. I don't know what to do now as my warranty will end in 12 days.

Laptop turn on only when I'm connected to a ac wall adaptor

Computer Screen turns on/off, touchpad does the same.
Hi Everyone,
This is my first time posting on these forums. I have a dell inspiron 5447, and I love it. It looks great, and, for the most part, runs well. However, whenever I move the laptop, or even slightly touch it, whether i move the screen or touch the body of the laptop, the screen glitches on and off, sometimes a few times in quick succession. When this happens, the touchpad also disables itself, and sometimes turns itself back on, but I usually have to go in to mouse settings and disable the mousepad and reenable it for it to work. I am thinking I need to send it in to be repaired, but I am not sure what the problem could be, or how much it may cost. I am also a college student that needs a laptop, so I cannot be without one for a long time.
