Hello, I bought a new laptop last week (Inspiron 15, 5000 series), I saw that the turn on button does not show the light on when I use the computer. I am not sure if it is a hardware issue or if I forgot to do something to turn on.
The backlight is working but the turn on button never showed the light.
Would you help me please?

I have a dell 7567 Gamimg laptop with a 1080P TN Panel that I own since 1/23/17 (ordered since 1/12/17) and I'm wondering if it's possible to have the display upgraded to a 1080P IPS, if it's not possible then I'm having a tough decision on upgrading the Display to a IPS Panel to void my 2 year premium display warranty when I have the money or wait until the warranty expires

I bought the computer used. There is no warranty or installation disc. I've had it two days.
The problem started with the audio disappearing. I was getting the "Smart Audio needs to be reinstalled" error. I disabled/re-enabled the audio, updated drivers from the Dell site, uninstalled/reinstalled the audio drivers...still no sound, although the error stopped popping up. Sound registers when I check the settings (I can see the bars moving) but nothing comes out of the speakers.
So I reset it using this link: 
I chose to save my files. Still no sound so I decided to wipe it completely (remove everything option) and that's when the problem started.
Now it turns on, shows the Dell logo for 10 seconds (no loading bar), and restarts. Over and over. No beeps or sounds whatsoever.
I have run the ePSA Pre-boot System Assessment and no errors are found. I ran both the quick and thorough tests. The only thing that doesn't check out is the speakers.

but it has already failed twice. (Completes the download then restarts it.)
Does this sound like a motherboard problem or do I simply need to reinstall Windows? Any help is much appreciated. I couldn't care less about saving any data.
The line of four keys on my Inspiron 15-5547 laptop - with the "8", "I", "K", and "," keys - is not working at all.
Is there any way to fix this without replacing the keyboard?
Does anyone know how to force the integrated webcam on an Inspiron 5559 to focus in Windows 10?
It will focus on a hand if placed about 25-50mm (1-2in) from the webcam lens on the lid but won't focus on anything further away resulting in a blurred fuzzy out of focus image. I've tried this in both bright daylight and low artificial light so nothing to do with the level of the light.
Any help in getting the webcam to focus will be appreciated. Its the first time I've tried to use it since buying this laptop and I can't find any settings that you can change. Or is it just a very poor quality webcam component?

I have an XPS 17 l702x, bios A19, Win 10 with latest updates.
In the last week it's stuck on "83% available (plugged in, charging)" but I am not able to turn it on without the cable. The charging led is always on and if I unplug the cable it immediately turns off.
Also, the battery status button on the battery itself shows five lit leds when pressed.
I tried disabling and re-enabling the charge from bios and from the OS, and removing the battery drivers from device manager, with no luck.
Is there any other idea before I try to open it and maybe clean up the fan or else?

I've had my inspron 5567 for about 6 months now. Recently I've been having issues and I think its coming from the fan. On startup, the fan is quiet, however after a few minutes of watching videos, the fan starts to kick in and makes a sort of "vibrating" noise. When I picked up the laptop and turned it over to see the fan vent, it turns into a very loud "grinding" noise and i have to close the laptop. This issue occurs every time the fan kicks in. I think the fan may be grinding on something. Any guidance on what I should do? I've updated the BIOS already.
Disappointing purchase. Bought an XPS 15 9550 Nov 2015. Now about 15 months later the battery no longer charges and BIOS reports needs to be replaced. Front orange light continuously blinks. Looks like many have had this issue. Have previously always purchased Lenovo and have had them more than 7 years without a single issue. Pathetic that a battery would need to be replaced after 15 months on a $2200 machine.
Has anyone been able to correct with unplugging and reattaching battery or is the answer another $120 to get a new battery? I have also read some needed the whole motherboard replaced.
Any suggestions/experience is appreciated.

I am trying to use the TactX macro keys in The Division to replace keystroke combinations such Alt-1, Ctrl-2, etc. Pressing the keys in-game does nothing, and you cannot assign a TactX key to an action in the key bindings window.
Any thoughts on this?
Can the Intel t6400 be overclocked or is an upgrade to INTEL T9900 better for 2d Autocad in the Inspiron .
I know it has been a while for this journey of realization of what a lemon I purchased. But, after a couple of years I have finally reached that realization.
First, always had issues from my wireless from day one, Would disconnect randomly. And two weeks after my warranty expired it completely died. Good job Dell! I bet you all planned that perfectly. I have been using USB wireless since then.
Next, after installing Windows 10 I came to the realization that after trying to get Cortana to work neither my microphone or camera were recognize as exiting. Probably, never worked or went bad the same time as the wireless. I, guess not knowing is on me. I never tried using the camera or microphone prior to that because I had no reason to and now I have no ability to do so even if I wanted to.
Next, my keyboard keys started falling apart. If I was a gamer I would assume they keyboard would take more damage from all that punching. But, I am not a gamer on my laptop (not be any measurable number) and see no reason for keys to be deteriorating. I find it strange that the whole Q,W, A, Z and space bar and others are falling off or becoming less tactile and responsive now at the same time.
Finally, last week I came back from a trip. I had left my laptop at home and found that while I was gone the laptop casing on the front right and left both split open (separated out quite visible from the top half). Several front screws attaching bottom case had shot off (by pressure?). And the touchpad is raised up and completely useless. I am afraid to try to open the laptop case to see what is causing this sudden separation and raised touchpad (swollen battery? ) Whatever it can be, it can't be good.
So, yeah I have become completely disenchanted with this device. I know it has been over a year since my warranty ended but such continuous explosion of problems (not one but 4 major issues since then) does not instill me with the same confidence I used to have with Dell and the several previous high-end XPS and other Dell devices I have owned over the years.

As above, I have 2x E7450 laptops, both of which don't power on with the cmos battery connected.
I have a known good battery from a working model, but this doesn't work in them either.
1 laptop had an overheat issue - damaged the ribbon cable to the daughter/audio board
1 laptop had coffee spilt on it and appears to have damaged the daughter/audio board.
I can get either to power up with a working board and undamaged cable as long as the cmos battery is disconnected.
Any ideas? Pulling my hair out here :'(

Currently using precision 7720 with E3-1535m v6. However, BIOS did not provide an option to ajust the Aperture size of the integrated Graphics.
Can anyone give some further information about the default Aperture size? Appreciate if you can tell me how to verify it.

I have a refurbished Inspiron 17 Laptop. The original one I purchased was replaced by Dell as it had many problems. I am really starting to lose my faith in Dell.
Just within the last month when I hit the power button it just beeps continuously. I have looked at the beep codes and it is just one beep continuously. Every once in a while it will boot up normally as if nothing happened. There is no rhyme or reason to it. I have done extensive research on this and have done everything I have seen suggested. I have reseated the memory, the keyboard, the hard drive, etc. etc. I have taken the battery out, unplugged all devices and peripherals and held the power button down to get rid of extra static etc. Please advise. My lap top was knocked off of a table. Power supply cord connector bent. When cord removed from lap top the internal pin remained in power cord connector. Is this fixable?
I have the Inspiron 3520 with i3-2350M processor. I am currently using a single 8gb DDR3L stick in this machine that was originally bought for another laptop, but it seems fine. Would there be any issue with buying the matching stick and upgrading to 16gb? Are there known issues using low voltage ram in this machine instead of the stock? Thanks.
I would like to upgrade the processor in my Inspiron 15 3520 from i3-2350M to max. I read online the i5-3230M was best for this machine. Is this correct? It does have the same G2 socket. Also, any chance of upgrading to i7 with this machine? I assume quad core is out of the question? Thanks much!
