Ive been using my laptop for about 6 months and whenever I plug in my charger it shows this thing that pops up that says the ac power adapter is not recognized what should I do will dell send me a new charger cause I have a lot of school work on my laptop and there is more so someone please help me asap.

Dell XPS 13 [9360] Keyboard Backlight
Just got a brand new XPS [9360] right out of the box. I noticed the backlight on the N and M keys are brighter than the rest of the keys. I played around with F10 function to adjust keyboard brightness, but it is the same throughout. I went into Windows Mobility Center and there was no settings listed for the keyboard. Did I just receive a bad keyboard?

On xpx1702x, problem accessing 2nd HDD
I have a xpx1702x with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, 16G RAM, a 225GB SSD primary drive and a second 1T hybrid drive for documents. BIOS is Dell A19 (9/7/2012) SMBIOS version 2.6.
The primary drive was getting full, so I copied it onto a new 1T SSD. When I installed the new 1T primary drive, it booted up fine, but the computer couldn't find the second 1T hyprid drive I use for documents, and it kept making a clicking noise as though the 1T hybrid drive was trying to work. Is this just too much HDD capacity for an xps1702x? Is there a bios setting change or bios upgrade that would let me use the 1T primary drive and the 1T second drive for documents?

Precision 7510 laptop Pointstick issue
Hello, I'm having an issue with the keyboard back light turning on randomly by itself.
I narrowed it down to the pointstick. I've disabled the pointstick and if you touch it, the keyboard back light will turn on. Very annoying when watching videos and such.

Touchpad Left Click Button Partially Sticky
Dell Inspiron 17R 5737: A few months ago the left click button of the touchpad got deflated from bottom left edge and the click got sticky, if I clicked on right top edge, it worked sometimes but mostly left click stayed pressed.
I opened the laptop and found that the small plastic attached to the button, which inflates it back is broken. I tried to fix it using glue but it didn't work. As it was part of the whole Palmrest thus I ordered a new palmrest. After receiving the new palmrest, I detached the buttons circuit and touchpad circuit from the old palmrest and attached it to the new palmrest.
Strangely now, the left click button is partially sticky, if I click on the left half of the button it sticks, if I click on the right half of the button it works properly 90% of the time. The button is no more deflated and it inflates and deflates properly on clicking, there is nothing broken in the new palmrest, the clicking sound is fine, there is just 1 button for left click then how it is working differently for left half and right half, that I am not able to understand.
Next step can be to order new buttons circuit but I am not sure if this will fix the problem.
This is my work laptop thus it is effecting my work and time quite badly, any help will be highly appreciated.

Screen or hinges
Hey everyone...I've got an Inspiron N4010 who's screen freezes due to the way the screen is opened. I have to manually move it to a certain spot for it to unfreeze the screen and if I let it go, poof...Frozen. Instead of just trying to randomly replace parts I'd like some advice please.

Inspiron 17R 5737 suddenly went off, Now wont turn now
I recently updated my OS to window 10 and as recommended by dell, updated all drivers and the bios. After updating the bios and the system restated, it worked for about ten minutes and then suddenly went off. Now it wont turn on.
When i press the power button nothing shows but the power indicator at the front shows for few seconds then later blinks, stays few seconds, goes off again,. Does this continuosly.
I have changed charger, pressed and held power with the down for 2minutes without the battery and nothing is happening. Have removed the ram cleaned the pc and other things yet nothing happens.
Please help me as i am out of ideas

Windows is not starting up
I've hit a problem recently with my laptop. When I turn it on the dell logo pops up on screen but instead of the usual sequence, a lineand saying "preparing automatic repair" shows up below the dell logo and after that its just a black screen. Windows does not start up. I looked at the bios and everythingwhen seemed fine but when I did a diagnostics on it I got the error 2000-0142 on the hardrive. I looked up the error online and it suggested I should replace my hard drive. I don't mind replacing it, but is the harddrive the (only) problem? I'm able to access it and see its contents on other computers, and I can also see the contents using the command prompt provided by the blue, automatice repair, screen. Please help, I really need some advice.

Precision M6700 BIOS A16 - Does it support a bootable primary 1TB SSD now?
The subject line says it all.
I have a Dell Precision M6700 with a primary 512MB SSD, and secondary 1TB HD. I have not been able to install a larger primary drive because BIOS A15 didn't recognize a 1TB SSD as bootable (though the rest of the system sees the drive just fine).
Does A16 finally address this problem, so I can upgrade to a newer, larger SSD primary drive and avoid my current drive from dying on me?

Loose battery
Hi,
I have a problem with my battery on a Dell Inspiron 5558. The battery is loose and I can shut down my laptop just by applying a little pressure on my battery with my fingers or by deplacing my laptop. It happens every day and I can work correctly with this laptop. I called the customer service to see what Dell can do to solve my problem before my warranty finished. The person I talked with told me that there was nothing she could do and that I had to buy a new battery. However, I found on your forum that Dell helped someone who had the same problem as I have. I am really surprised that there is nothing you can do since you are suppose to have a great customer service (which I doubt for the moment). This is my first laptop and Dell experience.

Inspirion 5555 very slow out of the box ugh
This is the slowest laptop ever I ever owned, is there something I can do to speed things up? Im on WiFi, cox cable download is 40 Mbps and upload is 32 Mbps, if that helps. Im not a computer guru by any means either lol

Inspiron Laptop does not boot, nothing appears on screen, only back light glows on screen
Hi,
I have a Dell Inspiron 14R N4110 Laptop. On pressing power button the screen becomes a bit shiny due to backllight, fan starts and parts seems to be spinning inside but screen remains blank, even dell logo does not appear. I have tried removing battery and pressing power button, also I tried pressing Fn button + Power button but I no luck. I also tried to reach diagnostic screen using F12 during boot but that also did not help. Power Led and Battery Led lights work but harddisk led does not blink.
Also I noticed that after pressing power button when I LONG PRESS any button of the keyboard, is sounds a continuous ticking sound like kirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
In all the troubleshooting no beep sound comes ever. Could someone suggest how to make my laptop functional again.

Fan constantly running when USB-C Port is used
Hi All,
I still have the issue that whenever I connect my WD15 to the USB-C Port of my 9550 the Fan kicks off 10 secs later and keeps running and running. As soon as I disconnect, the fan stops after 15-20 secs. If I connect my normal charger I do not have this issue. Funny enough, I tried connecting the WD 15 without anything attached to it, meaning no devices on the WD15 and not even the Power Cord. And still the XPS15 would get the Fan Level up after 10-15secs.
I was hoping the new Bios and new drivers would cure this. Unfortunately, today´s BIOS did not bring anything to me. I do not even know what it did bring at all tbh, but thats a different story.
Any clues regarding this issue? Help is appreciated.

BIOS Update
I cannot update the BIOS on my Dell Inspiron 4600, It is now running A08. There are three updates for it, (A09,A10,A12), and I downloaded all three. When I try to open any of them for installation I keep getting the attached message. When I try to install them I am trying to run them as an administrator. Does anyone have any suggestion ? I did install a new hard drive and upgrade from the Windows XP which the computer came with to Windows 7 Ultimate. I can’t see where that should have any affect but it may.

XPS 12 9Q23 stuck at .79 GHz
I've had my Dell XPS 12 9Q23 since 2012 and my warranty expired on 2014. Before the warranty expired, I received an unexpected call asking if my Dell XPS 12 9Q23 was running slow. I did not notice it at the time, but later after using other laptops, the core i7 @ 1.9 ghz processor running on this was running noticeably slower than other laptops.
I recently installed Windows 10 and I noticed that the processor is stuck at .79 GHz no matter what the CPU utilization is at. Also, the CPU utilization never goes above 33% no matter what stress test I apply. My other core i7 Dell laptops will go up to their maximum GHz when the CPU utilization is nearing max.
This has to be a known issue with this model otherwise Dell support wouldn't have called me and specifically asked if the laptop was running slowly. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, how did you remedy it?

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Windows 10 Recovery Partition
Hi I have 3 questions I'm trying to find answers for.
1) I'm trying to figure out if there is a recovery partition on the SSD. I can see in the Windows recovery options there is a factory reset option so I presume there is one but can anyone confirm that for me?
2) If not can I create one on the SSD or HDD? (I'd prefer the HDD because of disk space).
3) Also is it possible to create a set of recovery disks? (I have an external disk drive)?
