My Dell Precision M3800 system says that the battery charging has been temporarily disable. But, I can't find a way to enable it. Whenever I unplug the power brick from the system, the system shuts down. I have to carry the power brick in the last several weeks. Please help.

Is the new Stylus PN556W capable for my old XPS 12 9Q33?

Hello guys,
I got a used XPS 12 from my friend, while its touch screen really was really impressing. As it's multi-touch spec, I can't use a stylus directly with my hand naked. So are there any stylus pen is capable for it, especially the new stylus from Dell, the PN556W. It seems really accurate and convenient.

Dell precision m6400 won't start with 210w charger
I bought a used 210w ac adapter on ebay for my m6400, and it's been working great all day. Just a few minutes ago I turned around and my laptop was off. When I went to turn it back on again the light on the ac adapter and lights on the laptop blinked and then wall went out. If I unplug the adapter and plug it back in it will light back up, but then immediately turn back off again when I try to power the lappy up.
Any ideas as to what could be wrong? This is my only laptop and I'd prefer not to lose it.

Flickering lines on new Alienware 17 R4
Hi everyone,
Today was delivered my new alienware 17 R4 with GF1070. Everything is great so far but I can see lines randomly flickering on screen. They are small and colors are usually white. Also during windows update they was black on green screen.
Not sure what it can be. Just updated NVIDIA drivers from nvidia website. Did not help.

Vostro 5470: Touchpad and BIOS
Hello!
I have some weird problem. When i try to boot - BIOS began to beep. From manual i found that 2 beeps mean problem with the RAM. I replaced it with new RAM but the problem still exist. So i try to disconnect other parts of laptop. And find that with disconnected touchpad laptop starts fine and BIOS doesn't beep anymore.
So i try to plug-in touchpad during Windows booting - and it WORK!!! Yes - in Windows it work pretty fine.
So I have no idea what problem. May be someone have any suggestion?

Studio 1558 won't wake from sleep mode unless I press power button
My husband and I have the same identical laptops. His wakes from sleep mode by pressing a button on the keyboard or moving the mouse. Mine does not. I can only wake it by pressing the power button. I have reset to default power settings and it still doesn't work. I have gone through keyboard properties and have found nothing that says anything about sleep or wake. The power button wires have severed (which is normal for this junky laptop, or so I hear) and so in order to turn it on and off, I have to press the wires together. In order to avoid doing this often, I wanted to put my computer in sleep mode and be able to wake it up with the keyboard. But, as mentioned above, I am unable to.

Dell Wireless 1820A WiFi/Bluetooth Driver 1.400.87.0 is causing BSOD on XPS 9350
When applying this driver via Plug-n-Play during an OS deployment (Win7 x64) or when manually installing post OS deployment, this driver causes a BSOD.
There are no other drivers available for this. Anyone have a solution?

Keyboard backlight - can it be always on?
I have an Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop that I use in a low-light environment. I would like to set the keyboard backlighting to be always on, so I don't have to press a key or tap the touchpad to temporarily enable the backlighting. I have looked in the BIOS, but I do not see such a setting. Is there a way to set up the laptop so that backlighting is always on? Thanks in advance for your responses.

E5570 Windows 7
In the past days I spent to figure out how to install Windows 7 to E5570 machine.
I read every article and setting, downloaded and integrated drivers at least hundred ways...
No success..
Biggest achievemnet if I integrate WinPE3.0-Drivers-A18-YD21X to WinPE because with this method I can get DISKPART and I can see the list.
But If I want to apply a standard install.wim it fails to boot...
If I integrate the drivers to origial boot.wim windows installer can't see the SSD.. tried dism 3rd pary apps... tried latest INtel drivers tried CAB's everthing.
NO luck...

Touchscreen on Inspiron 13 700 Series
My touchscreen had to be disabled by a computer pro for $60.00 because of the phantom ghost glitch...Dell, can you please put an update or a fix for this glitch? I bought this computer for the touchscreen and cannot use it.. Also, how do I get a numeric keypad to come onscreen and not use the touchscreen?

Dell inspiron 15 7559 battery not charging
I have a brand new dell inspiron laptop which was delivered yesterday. First day worked fine. Have woken up this morning and the ac adapter is not charging the battery. I did a diagnostic boot and when scanning the battery the error message read:

I have no idea what has caused this fault and how to get it fixed. Please help, ive had this laptop less than 48 hours.

Security Lock issue
Hi All
Trying this forum as a last resort. Had anybody else had the issue below and if so how did you solve it if you have. ??
Purchased a dell inspiron 13/5368 laptop, it is advertised as having a noble security hole. I have tried to buy a noble lock for it, but noble are saying that dell has manufactured this laptop wrong and no lock will fit. I have tried contacting dell both technical support and dell sales but can't get an answer, if noble are correct and if they are, why dell is selling a product with false advertising. There are no numbers for dell other than the 2 departments i have tried, they don't seem to have a complaints department that you can contact.

XPS L321X Laptop Screen Black
Hi,
After a few years the screen of L321X gave up. It turns black, completely black and even bios not showing up, but backlight is on. Connected to external display and run system diagnostics. Everything passed, system, cables, built-in LCD display, RAM, CPU, graphics card ....
Run screen self diagnostics by power up while holding key D. Screen shows nicely Grey, Red, Green, Blue, then turns off and reboot.
Unplug and replug in video cable and problem persists. Updated bios to A08 and load bios default. Not working. Unplug battery cable and hold power for >30 sec, nothing changes.
It seems system is working, LCD screen is working, cable is working. The only thing I did not try is removal of CMOS battery, which I have to remove system board firstly. Can you help me to find out what the problem is?

Uninstalling Dell System Detect
From time to time, I use iOBit uninstaller to check existing programs, and sometimes find ones I've never seen before. This morning, it was Dell System Detect. I did some research and found out what it is, what it does and that it is a vulnerable program, so I wanted to uninstall it.
When iOBit does the second scan, it comes up with a lot of leftover appdata files and a warning comes up that says:
Warning! Multiple programs detected in the current directory. Please be careful when selecting items to delete.
The files are all under this directory, and there are approximate 60 of them.
C:\Users/MyName\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\DPH8J4AT.54N\6DK4VGY9.TZJ\DELL..TION_E30847F5D4A30E93_0006.0006_E3E278AC9F13D46\
(Hope I got all that right)
Is it safe to delete these files the regular uninstaller left behind?

Dell Precision M6500 Touchpad No longer working - Windows 10
I was recently playing a game, the touchpad has been having no issues before this, but during the game, the touchpad randomly stopped working, I restarted my computer and it hasn't worked since. I've attempted to install the Alps multi-touchpad drivers (it isn't meant for M6500, but it is meant for windows 10), but none of my attempts at installing have been successful it seems. Pretty much every time I install it, it says the installation has failed and doesn't give me a reason. I've also attempted to install the synaptics drivers (Is meant for the M6500, isn't meant for windows 10) that initially came on the computer, this successfully installed but didn't succeed in making my touchpad work. I would attempt to auto install the drivers, but when I go to the device manager, my touchpad no longer shows up in any of the options. The computer does, however, work with a mouse, but I'd prefer to have the trackpad working.

Laptop Latitude D530 batery does not charge
The batery doesn't get charged the whole time. Can it be that the computer or specifically Win 7 64 bit doesn't recognise the batery. Do I need a special driver to download?

Power adapter
Can I use 45 Watt adapter for dell inspiron 15 5559?? I got the adapter along with the laptop when I bought it. But a warning is displayed on screen prompting me to use 65 Watt adapter... If so why 65 Watt adapter wasn't given with the laptop instead of 45 Watt?

Dell XPS heats up: How make fans kick in at lower temp + what's Dell Power manager "cool" setting (thermal management)?
I have a Dell XPS heating up quite alot.. is there a way to make the fans kick in at a lower temperature?
Also, in Dell's power manager > thermal management, I've set it to "cool" which could reduce performance and give more fan noise.
I've set it to "cool" but nothing seems to have changed, so what does that "cool" setting do precisely?
