Inspiron 15z 5523 won't boot. I did get it to boot several times. I updated the bios to v2.7. I ran the long diagnostics, "All Test Passed". Now when starting up I get 2 beeps pause 2 beeps. I re-seated the memory. Tried switching the module. Each time pushing the static release button by the memory modules. I bought a new memory module. I put it in both memory module slots each time pushing the static release button, with the same results, won't boot, still 2 beeps. Could it be the system board? This laptop is just over a year old.

Vostro 3550 not powering up
My wife was using the laptop and the battery noted it was about to die. She shut down the laptop and the next morning plugged it into the AC adapter and would not power up. When the AC adapter is plugged in it has the light indicating power, when plugging it into the laptop the light goes out. I have tried both with and with out the battery. The laptop is out of warrany but only 2 years old.
Any suggestions??

XPS 15 9530 - Noise problem?
Hi all,
I just got my new XPS 15, amazing laptop but there's 1 big problem,
A high-pitched scratching/screeching noise is produced from the power button area ONLY when the power is plugged in and the battery is fully charged.
I've seen other forums and others have exactly the same problem, Any ideas?
I found this example http://z.mk/e6vq , the power is plugged into the laptop at 6 seconds.

HDMI to 2 dual monitors
Hi,
I hope this community can help me. I have an Inspiron 15R laptop which only have (1) HDMI and (4)USB output. The video card is only a Intel HD Graphics 4400. I want to connect 2 dual monitors both which have VGA and DVI input (no HDMI input). What cables do I need to run both monitors as "extended monitors" (ie. I don't want duplicate view)? I know I can use HDMI to go into one monitor. Can HDMI split into 2 monitors? Another suggestion, is can USB be used for one monitor, and HDMI for another monitor? I do not play games, just work and internet.

I have issue with I7 4500u temp (DELL 15R-5537)

I have 4500u when run something heavy, like games, after few minutes the frequency drop from 2.7-3.0 to the 1.8Ghz and its make game laggy. Max temp i have notice in such test around 72-76 degrees.
My question why the temp stop at 76 .. it should go around 95-100°C..
and how can fix this problem..

Beep Proplems
Hello! My dell inspiron 5521 core i5 making beeps everytime I power it, it keeps Beep and the screen is blank I shut down it and back power it but still beeps until I get lucky and it power again as normal.

AMD Catalyst Control Center fails to start
Hi. When I'm trying to start the Switchable graphics, the following message appears:
I have already tried to uninstall both ATI & Intel Drivers, and reinstall, but it didn't work. I'm using the drivers only from the DELL support site.
Product: DGND1X1
OS: Windows 8.1 x64
I tried to run AMD Clean uninstall utility, but my whole system crashed, and I couldn't start it up (luckily I could restore via system restore).
I tried to look for solutions on the internet, but none was working for me. If you've got any method or idea please help me! I'm glad to provide any logs if needed.

E6510 Sudden reboot with latest BIOS
I am having trouble with a new batch of E6510's we have purchased for our Company.
All 4 of these laptops have been Wiped and rebuilt. Each time we used The Re-Imaging installation guide's order for driver installation.
One laptop Made it through the rebuild and did not get its BIOS updated, its still running A04, and has no sudden reboot problems.
Three other laptops came from the Factory updated to A05 and will suddenly reboot with no warning. Two of them do this like once or twice a week, one does this at least twice a day.
In each case, the only indication that something has happened (other than Windows complaining about improper shutdown) is a power event in the BIOS log which says "ASF2 Force Off".
Looking around I see one other person describing a similar problem, but he has gotten no replies

I have one final A05 laptop that has yet to be formatted, so I will try running it and see if it Does the same reboot. But can anyone shed any light on what this problem might be?

XPS 15 9530 - battery
Hi everyone,
I was wondering how the battery life of your XPS 15 units is. One of the main reasons for buying that machine was the high-praised battery life.
Well, I have the impression that the battery empties rather quickly, it's far from the 8+ hours mentioned in the test reviews and I always have keyboard light off and brightness down to the lowest level. I don't know, but coil whine AND a bad battery won't work!

Inspiron 7720 - E drive just about ready to quit
I have a 7720 with the E drive close to being shot. I can hear the actuator arm clicking. I have a replacement drive but since the E drive has a Systems Volume file on it - I can never delete this file. Since that file remains when I boot the laptop with a new drive it comes back and says their is no OS? I was hoping I could delete everything off of the E drive the do a simple replace. What do I need to do to replace this drive?

Disabling Touchpad in Inspiron Mini 1012
Computer was serviced 2 years ago and technician (dont remember his contact info) replaced original XPS OS with W7 Home Premium. He was also able to disable touchpad. I recently had to format hard drive by Dell Support because of various issues and we reloaded W7 Home Premium with an external CD player. The only solution on Dell website to disable touchpad on 1012 applies to XPS OS. Is there a way to disable with W7?

Dell 15R SE 7520
Hello. I'm having some serious performance problems on this laptop. My wife and I both have the exact same model, bought at the exact same time, running the exact same OS (windows 8.1).
However mine is performing below hers, even after numerous OS reloads and trying various driver updates for the video card.
In windows, I will experience severe lag when opening up the start menu and trying to navigate the tiles, and programs will take much longer to load than on my wife's, even after a fresh windows install on my part.
In games, she has better performance as well. (usually about 10-20fps more, which is significant in some games). I thought that meant it was the video card or the drivers, but I've tried every driver I can find, from Dell drivers to direct from AMD to third party and none of them make a difference.
I'm wondering if it's the CPU, or if the video card could cause the OS issues as well. Normally I'd email Dell as I'm not in a place to call them right now, but apparently my product doesn't qualify for email support, which makes 0 sense since it's under warranty until 2016, with in home service and complete care.
Does anyone have any ideas why mine has these problems?
Note: It has been dropped, but the issues were extant before that, there was no obvious physical damage, and I have complete care anyway if that becomes an issue.

How to disable touchpad !!
My laptop (Latitude D620) is driving me crazy!!!
How do I turn off the touchpad and disable the top row (between touchpad and spacebar) of mouse buttons? ?
When ever I'm in Word, or composing an email, the cursor moves up into previously typed text and starts typing from there instead of where I was at. I suspect it is the touchpad or the 'mouse' buttons between the touchpad and the space bar. On a ThinkPad there was way to turn off the touchpad, but still leave the joystick/pointer enabled. That's what I want to do. But I need to also disable the top row of mouse buttons.
In other words what I want is a set up where the joystick/pointer works and the bottom row (below the touchpad) of mouse buttons works, but not the touch pad itself, or the top row of buttons.
It sounds funny, but it has become a severe productivity issue. The cursor jumping has happened 7 times just in this one email !!

Dell XPS 15 (L521X) heat problems!
Hello!
I recently (less than a month ago) bought a Dell XPS 15 (L521X) laptop and I'm having some heat issues. The CPU runs very hot (67-74 degrees celsius). At first I realised it because the fans made a good amount of noise, so I thought I should check the temperature of the CPU. I should also note that this noise and heat is produced as the laptop is just standing there, under no load whatsoever.
Are there any suggestions? Thanks!

Dell XPS 13 - Does complete shutdown every time I get into Sleep or Hibernate - Cant find SSD software update
So I am on current versions of all drivers and BIOS is A10. The issue/symptom is that every time I put laptop to sleep OR hibernate (just shutting the lid) it completely shuts down. It does log error 41 in Windows Event logger as well as a 159 error. Everything seems to suggest it is drivers related. I did run the Dell hardware diagnostic powered by PC Docter, it says all hardware is fine. I have updated all of my drivers except my SSD. Model: XPS 13 (L322X) Service Tag: <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> The downloads on Dell are for a LiteOn, so when I try to install it says no LiteOn HD exists. When I use Samsung's Hard Drive Magician it tells me I don't have a Samsung HD installed, even though it is Samsung PM830 256 SSD. Since it doesn't recognize it, I am unable to update the firmware software. I am fairly convinced it is the HD software/firmware that needs updating. This issue begin 40 days after warranty expired. Any help would be great.

Dell XPS 15 Haswell 9530 - Clickpad not working properly
I just received my XPS 15 9530 a few days ago.
The touchpad doesn't seem to be working properly. The clickpad doesn't register when I try to right-click or left-click. It tracks properly and a tap-click works most of the time. I reinstalled the drivers, and it didn't seem to do anything.
When I first received the laptop, the clickpad was working fine. But now the clicks don't register at all... even after a restart.
