D630 hardware issue, help request

I have a D630 that is acting kind of weird. Wanted to see if anyone else had such a problem and if so what is the solution.

In the bios i have it set to load first from USB, second from CD/DVD and third from Hard Drive.

If I boot from either USB or Hard Drive everything seems good.

If I boot from CD/DVD the laptop will make several beeps, and it is more continuous, there is no breaks so it is not easy to look up a POST beep code for this. It would almost appear that it beeps close to 10 times rapidly.

I did download the diagnostics for the laptop from this site and it ran though all the test and each and every one passed.

Like I said it is only on boot up, once into windows, everything appears to work fine, i can access the hard drive, the CD, and the USB with no problems, no beeps or anything like that.

I am almost at the point to just try a flash to the bios. I dont know. I did try another CD rom drive from another D630 that works fine, so I know it was a good drive. Also tried the drive from the suspected D630 in the good laptop and it worked fine, so that tells me the problem is in the suspected unit, but what is causing it and why, I have no idea.
