New Latitude 15 7537 disconnects from internet but not wifi

My new laptop randomly disconnects from the internet but not wifi. When it disconnects, hovering over the wifi icon in the notification area shows the name of my connection and "No Internet Access". Expanding the Networks show a normal connection. Disconnecting and reconnecting from there does not resolve the issue. Ipconfig shows that it still has the correct IP address and other information during these disconnects. Release/flushdns/renew normally gets the IP address again but does not restore the internet access. My wifi router does not show the laptop in the attached devices list even when it is connected successfully.

I have many other computers and devices connected to this network that do not have this issue. My laptop can lose connection at any time for seemingly no reason. It can go 12 hours before a disconnect, or it might drop in five minutes. Some days it will disconnect 10 times.

This laptop replaces a Vostro 3550 that was upgraded to Windows 8 and was set up with identical software as this one. It never had any issues with connectivity.

  • Windows 8 Pro
  • Intel Core i7-4500U 1.8GHz 64-bit
  • 16 GB RAM

 What I have tried/confirmed:

  • MAC address filtering is not in place on the router.
  • IE set to automatically detect settings
  • Confirmed IP address is DHCP
  • Ipconfig /release and /renew
  • Ipconfig /flushdns
  • Netsh int ip reset c:/resetlog.txt
  • Disabled antivirus
  • Disable all non-microsoft services
  • Updated network driver with latest from Intel
  • Disabled Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter

Please tell me what else I can try to fix this. I can't keep rebooting this machine every 10 minutes.
