I have a Latitude E6430 laptop running 64-bit Windows 7. Whenever I type on the keyboard, the mouse cursor freezes in place and stays that way until about a second after I stop typing. This only happens when using the pointstick, not a USB mouse. I've updated to the latest drivers and the problem still persists.
Searching the web for similar issues suggests this may be a deliberate feature intended to keep the touchpad from moving the mouse inadvertently while typing. For people who use the touchpad I suppose that makes a certain amount of sense, but I have the touchpad and its buttons disabled entirely already since I don't use them, and for me this is nothing but an annoyance. If there's a way to disable this behavior I would very much like to know it.
