Hi everyone,
I am experiencing synaptics touchpad error. Everytime I try to install the driver for my touchpad it says "to install this application, the local security policy option 'User Account Control - Detect application installations and prompt for elevation' should be enabled.
The Problem is I enabled it and restarted my laptop and is still receiving this error. How do I fix this?
Here's the procedure i used to enable it.
Start -> run -> secpol.msc -> security settings ->local policies ->security options -> scrolled down until 'User Account Control' then enabled detect application installations and prompt for elevation then restarted my laptop then tried to install Synaptics Touchpad and still failed to install it.
Please help how to bypass this problem. Thanks.
PS~ I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
