XPS 15 - error code 0146 - replace hard drive but how do you reinstall windows 7 without the disks

Hello everyone,

My one and half year old XPS 15 notebook just stopped working.  It fails to boot to WIndows and just gives a error reading disk error.  When I use the diagnostic program during initial boot up it gives me an error code 0146.  I think I need to replace the hard drive but how do you reinstall windows 7 without the disks.  And obviously i never created any system recovery media, and have lost the hidden partition on the hard drive. So what do I do?  Thanks for any help/suggestions.
