Inspiron 3543- Internet Browser taking forever to open!

Hi, Does anyone know why it would take 15 minutes to open an Internet browser, and then another ten minutes of getting the "Page Unresponsive" message before my Internet will work on my laptop? It's only a year old. There's nothing wrong with my Internet connection- it works fine on my phone, very fast. This happens on wifi and when my laptop is plugged in, and it's only been happening for the last month. It happens on Chrome and IE.

After waiting the 20 minutes or so, then the Internet will work perfectly fine, but I'm not keen on waiting 20 minutes for my browser to open :(

Can anyone suggest anything?

I find that it takes a long time at boot up and dell logo has stopped showing and a black screen for approx. 30 seconds before my logon screen appears.

a) can "DELL" screen be replaced by a screen of my choosing, ie my grand children.

b can the timing of the screen on show be altered so that it closes just before my login screen appears.

I have looked at the Bios configuration and cannot find anything which will help me, if anyone would like a copy of the bios for printing let me know.

Does dell xps 12 model 9Q33 lcd screen would work with xps 12 model 9Q23?

i broke my dell xps 12 model 9Q23 lcd screen and i've been searching high and low for a replacement screen but to no avail. I have however found a replacement lcd screen for dell xps model 9Q33, from a quick google search, they both look similar to one another but with different specs.

So i was wondering if i purchased replacement lcd screen for model 9Q33, would it work on model 9Q23?

Hi all, I'm a little confused at the moment as I just received a usb type c charging cable, thinking my dell XPS 15 9550 would charge my device samsung s6 faster. But in fact it charges my phone twice as slow as the USB 3.0 port does.

Now where I am confused, why is it the USB 3.0 charges at one level, and the thunderbolt port charges the device twice as slow. E.g when connected to USB 3.0 it shows charging time 1:42, but when connected to thunderbolt it shows up as 4:53.

Is the thunderbolt port not suppose to be able to deliver much higher charging to devices than the USB 3.0 port?

Good Evening, I have a Dell Inspiron 15r 5520 intel core i5 6GB Memory originally with a built in Microsoft Windows 8.

Purchased in 2012
It has since been updated to Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
I upgraded to Windows 10 as soon as I found out Windows 10 was free for people who had Windows 8
Windows 10 was working fine until July and then that's when the Motherboard 'gave out'
I tested it and it said the Motherboard is fine it's just the HDD.

Well the Hard Drive and Motherboard overheated and both died.

I have replaced a Heat Sink AND Fan to attempt to save it (Yes, I used a rice size amount of Thermal Paste to reinstall)
So now I purchased a New 1TB (1000GB) 8MB Cache 5400RPM SATA 2.5" 9.5mm Notebook Hard Drive and that was fine.
I also purchased a replacement Motherboard for my Laptop, which came with no Software, leading me to purchase Microsoft Windows 10 Pro.

I have had trouble downloading the Windows 10 pro, as it would turn off during download and refuse to actually go on and give me the proper download for a while.
After 2 days of trying, I finally realized I had to remove the CD once it was installed, and Windows 10 Pro was installed on my computer. After a few downloads, Skype, Google Hangouts and Roblox(Online game) to be exact, the motherboard fried out.
I recently got a Motherboard on ebay from China and now I am trying a USA seller instead.

Is Windows 10 Pro frying my Laptop? I know I cannot download devices from Dell any longer but I would at least like it to work.

Can I get the Windows 8 back for free? Can I call Microsoft and Verify my Old Motherboard's Information for a new installation? (I have my old items still and serial Number, I just no longer have a Warranty due to the time expiration.)

Should I upgrade the Memory and can my computer's Motherboard handle that?

Anyone have an idea on how to take the rattle out of the space bar on the XPS 13? The keyboard is so quiet until you hit the space bar. The rattle is driving me crazy. I even replaced it to no avail. Any recommendations? Thanks.

XPS 15 running much hotter than usual for the last week

I have an XPS 15 laptop with SSD drive and lots of RAM that usually stays cool. Last weekend it installed a Windows 10 update (I think this was the 1607 version). Since then the fan has been running on high for the entire time that the laptop is on and it feels hotter than usual. The CPU load can be under 20% for an extended time but the fan keeps running. I managed to revert to the previous version of Windows and it hasn't changed.

The only thing that has worked partially is to limit the maximum CPU level to 50% (I tried using this setting on battery and then unplugged the laptop). This cuts the fan down to a lower level but I never had to do this before. Until now the fan would rarely run at all.

What's going on? Do we need some updated drivers?

On your Dell XPS 15 9550 open up excel (2013 or 2016) and launch any worksheet with data.

Move the worksheet from the built in monitor to the externally connected QHD monitor (which should be in extended mode).

Try scrolling up and down on the worksheet.

Does it look normal or do you encounter graphic distortions?

I'm not sure when, maybe after a windows update? But all of a sudden, there were no wifi networks visible on the wifi. I re-installed the drivers, then the wifi would not turn on, it stayed off. I deleted and re-installed the wifi driver and now it says the wifi is off, but when I go into device manager and it allows me to turn it on, but it's not on and no wifi networks show up.

It worked fine for about 2 years up until this hiccup.

Any tips on getting my wifi to work again? thanks,

Hi, I have question. Do I need a ssd adapter, or something if I wanna add 7 mm ssd, to 9,5 mm hdd place? Also I wanna ask do I need to install firmware update, or something: . What to do if my laptop not boot? I'm planing to buy 850 evo, or something from crucial. Which is better? Heard some people say that mlc memory is more reliable than tlc (evo 850, mx300) so maybe go for mx200 with older mlc memory?

Does anyone know what model or type of adaptor I can purchase for my Dell Inspiron 13-7368 laptop for the power inlet so that I connect onto my external portable power unit (The connection to the power unit is USB)?

I do not have knowledge of how those the Dell power inlet are being classified and I cannot locate the specification for it. The AC Adaptor that I have for the Dell laptop is model HA45NM140. The information maybe on the AC-Adaptor but I do not know what I am looking for in regarding the plug in type for the inlet of the laptop.

Vostro 1500 beep codes problem

My laptop, vostro 1500, Model: 22PL, Service Tag: BB24HD1 has recently started giving beep codes on bootup. I believe the code that it is sending is 2-4-4 followed by 10 beeps. Also I am having keyboard problems. The SHIFT c, d, e, don't work. I am only able the use them with the shift-lock key.

I have upgraded to Windows 10. I have run a full diagnostic scan and it can find any errors. I have also reseated the keyboard cable and memory module several times with no change.

Hi,

Around the time of the WIndows 10 summer update (also, I routinely install updates from the Dell web site) my laptop started freezing. It didn't happen (yet) during use, but while leaving the laptop on. When I came back to it, I saw the system is frozen. Had to force shut down.

Did anyone come across this issue?
