I just received my refurbished Dell Precision 5510 from Dell Outlet and I decided to create a restore media on Windows 10 and it's simply refusing to work.
I have a 32GB USB 3.0 drive that has been used for restore files before, I completely formatted the USB drive using SDFormatter and set the partition type to NTFS, it shows up as being available and with with 29.9 GB of free space.
I have tried to find another way to create this media and I can't, I can de-select "Back up system files" but that would essentially create a bootable USB drive with no Windows restore data to use with it.
I did an "sfc /scannow" in command prompt run as Adminstrator but it did not find anything wrong.
I've searched for a solution but couldn't find one, I really think it's important to be able to restore Windows because it seems as though the license is tied to the original install, my Windows shows and activated and I'm afraid to continue without recovery media because it seems like Dell won't be able to diagnose the problem from what I've read online regarding this particular issue
Has anyone else had this happen, what did you do to fix it? I know that I can clone the full 512GB partition but that seems silly and counter intuitive.
