XPS 15 L501x Ram
It seems my both Hynix Ram is not working properly. Possibly caused by faulty power adapter. But now i have changed the adaptor but i think damage has been done now. So now i want 2 new ram,
But lately i am facing some serious doubts regarding which ram is available & which one is compatible.

My local dealer says you wont find ram for this since it doesnt support DDR3l & DDr3 is hard to found.
SO i searched online ecommerce site but i am not sure about my sytem requirement, what i want, 1.5v/1.35v, DDR3L/DDR3, Dimm/Sodimm. 1333/1600 can anybody help me what my system can support? Thanks in advance

Dell laptop takes forever to start and load up
My laptop is a Dell Inspiron Windows 8. Basically everytime I try to start it up it takes ages to load. It still lets me type my password in but even then, it takes forever to start.

What size SD card should I get to create a recovery disk?
I just bought an inspiron 11 3000 series 2-in-1 for my son for school.
God knows, he'll probably load tons of stuff on it that will eventually slow it down to a crawl and I'll need to refresh it before the school year's up. So, I want to create a system disc for it before he starts using it and I want use a fresh card solely for that so I can keep it safe and no have it used for something else.
How big of a disk do I need to create this recovery and system disk? I used to just use the old CD's but, that was back when I really was just reinstalling the generic Windows and didn't care about the drivers and such for my desktops. I want to keep his laptop pretty much factory OEM to make our lives a little easier in the long run.
Would an 8gb be plenty for this?

Dell Precision M4800 - Low FPS when charger plugged in
When I charge my laptop it works very slow, fps in games 10-25. Now I`m doing Dell video tests the temperature of video processor is 40 C, fps when charger plugged in is 32, battery use fps is 100..
When I use battery energy it works super fast and fps 100 and more.
Please help me!

I bought a new&original dell replacement battery type 9T48V for aprox. 100$ from an online shop in Romania (www.emag.ro/.../) but I am not sure if it is 100% Original after looking on the support forum (en.community.dell.com/.../19488354. HI there,
I have bought a Dell laptop Inspiron 15 5000 series i 7 in from your official site. And after couple of days I got errors on my computer screen.
1 )I received 3 blue screen errors, "Oxread039", Netwsys.02 and 3rd I dont remember now.
2)Also my laptop restarts automatically in the middle of me doing something.
3)It was attacked by malware and viruses after couple of weeks I bought it, which i had to get fixed from private people.
I am really worried about this.Can you help and justify reason for these errors and problems?

E5430 - Auto detect updates loads the wrong BIOS

it down loads the 5530A16 BIOS which fails during the install with a, Error: Unsupported System ID Found. Cannot update a 'Latitude E5430 non-vPro' with a BIOS for a 'Latitude E5530 non-vPro'

Dell XPS 15 9550 Screen FHD
The FHD screen has a bit of a color issue. When I am on a white page, much like this one, I can see that the left half of the screen is a darker tinge of red. Why is this, I know it isn't a driver issue and I can't seem to troubleshoot the problem. I have only seen one other poster who claimed they had this issue on another website. Now this color change is hardly noticable when in a video but it is quite bothersome when I am browsing the internet. Anyone know a fix or why this is happening?

dell n5040 booting with black screen..hdd failure??
so my dell n5040 boots with black screen.i can boot with dvd,*** it wont boot with normal boot.tried f8=last known good configuration WITH NO LUCK..Ihavent done reformat or reinstalled windows yet..i cant do online diagnostics,cuse windows wont boot.i guess my hdd failed or soon to be fail..

Dell is robbing me around 1400€
Hi all,
I bought an xps 13 9350 less than a month ago, after a few weeks a strong buzzing noise that totally covers everything that i hear from the pc "music, video, film, audio" started from the dc-in area+speakers.
After 10 days, 40mails and 3hours of conversation they changed my motherboard, dc-in cable and speakers. As soon as I and the technician turned on the pc we both noticed that the problem was still there, he wrote on his paperwork that my xps wasn't working and gave me the email of a new support technician.
After other days, many more mail they keep telling me that everything is fine and the noise that comes out after a few week of use is 100% normal for this product and keep closing my support requests.
I have no idea what to do, i hope that somebody can help me here.

Latitude e6330 HDD Failure
My e6330 HDD failed last week. The "Winnt_root>\system32\Hal.dll missing or corrupt: Please re-install a copy of the above file." error is being returned when I attempt to boot. I followed all repair options but none work. I don't have a windows 7 disk and the installation key is completely worn off the label on the underside of the laptop, so that option isn't available to me. This system is still under warranty until next February. What can I do to fix this issue? This is a work laptop and I need to get it back up and running asap. I can supply the service tag if needed.

Dell Inspiron 5748 Anniversary update problems.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5748 Notebook and I'm having trouble updating to the anniversary update. I have tried everything, its not being offered in windows update, I've tried using the tool Microsoft offers but it always gets stuck at the reboot part. I've heard about other people upgrading successfully to it with the same computer as me. I really need help but I don't know what to do.

New laptop froze when I was setting it up
Can anyone help me. I received my new laptop today and when I was setting it up it froze. I pressed ctl/alt/del that usually just closes the program. but it shut it down, black screen and won;t come back on. Is there a reset of some sort or trick to bring it back???

e6520 flashing battery light
Hello everyone!
Today my old buddy e6520 started to flash battery light while charging (flashing once in a sec). Right after battery getting 100% - it stops and theres no light at all.
Usually battery light was just turned on while charging or cable was not unplugged even after 100% charge.
Maybe there was an update or something that i did not saw, but i never saw that light acting like this before.

Precision M6800 and M4700 half height slot labeled: 1/2MC(PP), what is it for?
Anyone know what the slot in my Precision M6800 and M4700 labeled: 1/2MC(PP) is meant for?
It is a half height msata slot, without antenna leads so is not meant for communication cards.
I purchased half height msata storage for the slots, but they do not appear in bios or OS, so they go back to Amazon.

Dell Inspiron 3541 Screen got cut off
Hello Dell community, I'm fresh here
Currently I have a problem with a Dell Inspiron 3541, please have a look at the below screenshot
I've tried everything, installed new Windows from fresh but still can not solve the problem which is screen appear to not showing in full screen (the outline got cut off). I've tried to installed the proper drivers but still the screen showing the same way when the laptop start up just begin at BIOS screen.
Please help to look into the series if there any similar error and ways to fix it.

STMicroelectronics Virtual Com Port not working on Inspiron 11-3162 / Windows 10 v 1511
I bought this laptop to control an amateur radio transceiver with a USB connector and a STMicroelectronics USB to Serial communication chip. I have no problem with my older Inspiron 660 desktop, but the 3162 refuses to create the virtual com port when the radio is plugged in. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both available versions of the STM VCP driver (versions 1.3.1 and 1.4) to no avail. I reinstalled Windows 10 from the recovery image because I thought something might be corrupt, but that didn't help.
Is there some sort of limitation on this budget laptop that would prevent the successful use of a peripheral that works through a virtual COM port?

Poor performance on Inspiron 15 7559
So I've been having some serious issues with poor performance on my Inspiron 15 7559. It's really any one thing, most of my interactions are bad. When I try to play videos from sites besides YouTube or Netflix I get a very stuttery playback. It also loads pages slowly as well on chrome and firefox. I've had Dell reimage the drive with Windows, and have had the motherboard already replaced due to a separate issue with the speaker. Have anyone else encountered these issues? After spending $1200 on a laptop I would expect much better performance (at least equal with my 3 year old Alienware, which has an older generation processor yet is super smooth).
