As I have found from countless hours of searching for a fan controller for my e6430 laptop, there is no support and no solution. I find this a little disturbing. Making changes through fixed bios updates isn't enough. I need the ability to control the fan speed of my computer and so do many other people. Personally, I don't care about fan noise. I want a manual fan speed control and many other people do as well. How do we do it?

Vostro 3300 - Formatted, Wifi Driver wont install
I reformatted my laptop this week, and I had downloaded all my drivers previously. Since the update (was trying to goto Windows 10), I have been able to download the driver for my network card, but it fails to install. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium edition. It worked prior to this, but I was looking for a clean install for windows 10 after I got all my drivers into place.
Any ideas?

Dell XPS 15 HDD Reseating?
Good day guys i have been having issues with my dell XPS 15 since yesterday night. it has refused to boot and keeps saying that my internal HDD is not found. i have tried running the diagnostics by pressing F5 and all the tests came out positive but still not working. Also today i removed the HDD and put it back and still it wont boot i really need help as i don't know what to do anymore.
THE EXACT MESSAGE IT SHOWS IS
" internal hard disk drive not found
to resolve this issue, try to reseat the drive.

Is the memory on a 3-year old XPS 13 upgradable with a SD card?
I have an XPS13 that is running out of memory [Admin NOTE: Service tag removed per TOU policy]. I've seen conflicting info about the upgradability of the memory. Is there a way I can add a SD card, or alternately upgrade the standard memory?

Latitude E5470 RAM issue
We have E5470 laptops with 1x 4GB ram with Windows 7 32bit installed.
The laptops are all showing 4GB installed in BIOS, however windows is showing around 2.5GB usable in system properties and occasionally goes lower.
We understand that 32bit wont show the whole 4GB, however 2.5GB is not right. About 60% ram is used at all times by hardware which im guessing is video related.
There is nothing in BIOS to change memory remapping, we have installed the latest chipsets and BIOS and still the issue persists.
We have checked maximum memory settings in boot options and its not turned on so should be fine.
Any ideas?

DELL logo stuck
My friend got a Dell inspiron 15 3000 series with windows 8.1 .It ran fine for 2 years. But now its not working.
The system show dell logo on starting and does not got past it . its just stuck.
BIOS setting( UEFI) can be accessed using F2, boot priority setting key F12 do not work.
Even DELL dell epsa pre-boot system assessment test works fine.
In some cases the problems disappears and the system works . But after restarting , it will get stuck with dell logo.

AL 17 R3 buzzing noise after motherboard repalcement
Hi all,
2 weeks ago a on-site technician came to my house to replace both I/O board and motherboard due to a distorted sound issue. Fortunately, the sound issue was fixed after these two replacements. However, I found the laptop got more significant buzzing noise than before during low-load performance time, for example, just opening browsers or do nothing. The noise can be heard easily when I just sit in front of the laptop, and it may be from both motherboard and speakers in a constant frequency. I am not sure but it seems like that unplugging the AC adapter could get better situation.
Guys, is it normal? should I call support again? Thanks.

Second SSD in Latitude e5570
I received a e5570 yesterday from work. It's got a 256 M2 MSATA SSD installed. And I would very much like to add a second SSD to increase the amount of storage. Is there a way (perhaps with some spare part/bracket) to add another M2 SSD by using a bracket where the normal HDD is supposed to be installed (which is now empty).

Dell XPS15 L502X overheating and fan problems.
Hi,
My laptop was heating up a bit too much (temperature above 90’s in normal load, and sometimes shutting down after hitting 100C), so I finally decided to open up my Dell XPS 15 (L502X) and replace the thermal paste. I have few questions:
When I opened it up, apart from the thermal paste on the cpu (i7-2630QM) and gpu (Nvidia GT-540 2gb), there were several white pads, and one grey pad. The grey pad was above the motherboard HM67 chip. This is the first time I ever saw a heat sink with thermal pad needed to cool down the motherboard. Or am I missing something? And what are all these small white pads? They seem to be covering different chips on the motherboard. Does anyone know the width of these white pads, and grey pads? Are all of these thermal pads to conduct heat? Or some are meant to block heat? I think the white ones are meant to block health, but I may be wrong.
Anyhow, after replacing the thermal paste (didn’t do anything with the pads, since I wasn’t expecting to see them anyway), the temperature of CPU and motherboard remains in 70’s C, and GPU in 60’s C under normal load (20 browser tabs, and some MS Office work alongside). But the fan works in an annoying manner with bursts of sounds, instead of constant sound. It is rather annoying, and I rather have the fan working the whole time than these annoying bursts (fan on, fan off, fan on, fan off, and goes on like this constantly). Any solution to fix this?
I am also considering downgrading to I5-2540M (lower TDP, and dual core), but its not worth it if the fan is going to behave in similar manner.

I got a call from 888-886-7499. The person calling named himself Daniel from Dell Computers and claimed there were some security warnings on my computer. He then told me to type www.fastsupport.com in the run window, at which point I cut the phone. Was this a legitimate call?

BIOS A02
Greetings;
I have bios A01 on a latitude laptop my brother gave me. There are 2 newer versions available on the Dell web site, A03 and A14. Neither will install unless I have A02 on the laptop. site does not offer A02 for download. Should I be concerned about running A01? Where could I get A02?

wireless stuck in airplane mode
I have a inspiron 15 7000 series. HD failed so installed new HD and loaded win 10 on it. everything works fine except the wireless is stuck in airplane mode. I have tried the Fn-wireless key with no change. Correct wireless 7260 driver is installed and working I have ran all updates. Wireless worked fine in win 8 Is there a know driver issue here?

Hello, I've recently bought a dell xps 15 9550 and have two questions in regards to charging it.
The first is, Should i charge it out of the box before use, mine came with 96% charge so i didnt think i needed to.

Dell XPS 13 9350 shutting down instead of sleeping since recent update
Hello all,
My Dell XPS 13 9350 has been shutting down instead of sleeping (when lid closed or power button pressed) since the last update from the Dell Update app.
Prior to this, I was also getting the laptop going into flight mode when it went to sleep.
Any suggestions regarding each of the above issues?
