My dell insnpiron 15's hard drive is crashed. I want to format my laptop. How i can do it? I attached usb stick, which includes windows 8 os in it. Nd i make itbootable. When i boot it, its shows loading files. Thn nothing is come. Screen is gonna black. Help me out. Hope for the best option. I want to format it.

I have recently replaced my laptop's bezel. Since then backlit is not working even though the settings are correct. Could this issue be due to bezel replacement. If yes, please suggest how to resolve it
I have a Dell XPS L322X with an i7 cpu. The computer has been running very hot, so today I removed the heat sink (4 screws) and cleaned the vents, put on some thermal paste and closed the kit up. Now it is running more cool but very slowly. What did I do wrong?

i have a dell vostro a860. it starts, goes by bios, and then restarts forever. it doesnt pass to hdd in order to load windows 7.
i run the diagnostics utility. i get error 0146.
i was able to start my laptop using hiren\s boot cd. i run chkdsk on my hdd - everything is fine. all my files are in order. i scanned with malwarebytes - all clean.
i believe that at startup, my laptop does check my hardware. due to a possible power loss, there is that error stored and that makes it loop restart.
how do i delete that error ? my diagnostics are pretty simple and wont let me delete the error - no such option. no options at all, only auto diagnostics.

I have a strange problem with the computer.
If I connect the charger the lamp on charger will be turned off. Tried with three different Dell chargers from 65W to 90W. Same problem on all of them. Also tried with another battery and tried Everything on another computer.
If I remove the charger, take out battery and then attach the charger the lamp still will light on the charger. Then I mount the battery and everything is ok. Start the computer and can see that the battery will charge. If I disconnect the charger at this time and reconnect it again the lamp on the charger will be turned ocf but computer will stay on from the battery but not charging. It doesn't matter if computer running or not. charger lamp will be turned off and no charging.
When this happens I suppose that the current will be to high and charger shuts off.
I'm not sure what could be wrong. In some posts discussion have been that the mother board could be the reason. Need some input to fault tracing.

I have a:
Dell Inspiron 3737, Windows 10, 1.70gHz, 16GB RAM, 64-bit, Intel Core i3
. . . which is now out of warranty (purchased circa: 2 x years ago).
I am having a problem every time I try to START the machine (whether from battery or mains). I have to hold down the POWER button until all of the (front) LED's turn off (which takes about 5 x seconds), and the press/hold the POWER button again until it boots up.
I read some threads and also watched a couple of videos on here. I tried removing the BATTERY and holding down the POWER button (for 10 x seconds) to kill off any STATIC, but this has made no difference?!
I hope someone is able to advise accordingly.

I'm currently using another laptop, but I broke my wifi card, and took one from the old Dell laptop. It's 1397 mini card.
I'm running windows 10, and can not turn the wi-fi on.
Drivers were installed automatically card is defined y system, but tumbler just stick in Off position and no possibility to turn wi-fi on.
I have checked BIOS set up and there is no options to manage WLAN on this level.
Is it even possible that dell wireless card would work on another laptop?
My dell xps 15 9550 currently has my works enterprise build win 10 on it. Although to get it to boot afterwards it had to be set to AHCI mode vs the factory config RAID. Is there a way to install through pxe and support RAID on the 9550? Are 9550s set to RAID to take advantage of the newer NVMe? I did notice some differences on the benchmarks I did under AHCI and RAID.
Hello. So I have a Alienware Laptop M15x, and recently I had it formatted and upgraded to Windows 10. However, for seem reason, Command Center can't seem to work. Nothing lights up, meaning the keyboard, the sound ports or anything, but from what it seems the touch pad above the keyboard works. I've looked throughout Google but have found no solution. I saw something about .NET Frameworks, but again no solution. I have attached a picture of my .NET Frameworks, if someone can guide me step by step on how to exactly fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

It works in some models (We do this with the E6540 laptops, but its not supported on the E6530), but I don't have much experience with the 5000 series latitudes.

I'm planning to buy DELL INSPIRON 5759 which has only HDMI output.
I would like to connect two Dell 2415 monitors on it (1920x1200). Is it posible to do it with HDMI to Display port cable which goes from laptop to first monitor or do I use HDMI to HDMI for connecting first monitor.
Is daisy chaining possible when computer have only HDMI output?

On my new Latitude E7470, I have noticed a slight variation in colour temperature or tint on the left and right sides of the screen, more so on the left. It is not severe by any means, but definitely noticeable when, for example, editing two word documents side by side. See pic below:
I guess what I'm asking is: is this normal? If not, can I expect it to be fixed with a screen replacement?

Monday night we had storms come into our area. So I shut down and unplugged it fromt he power cord. As well as unplugged the power pack from the cord. Did want a surge to fry it too! Well, I forgot to plug all back in till the following day. When I did. I noticed the charging leds and stuff on the front did not come on. I was like ***! I unplugged all the attachments then from laptop cooler, webcam and mouse. The power pack and cord seem fine. The tip lights up blue. I followed steps in others to unplug, remove battery, and press power for 15 to 30 seconds. The try without battery. Then with Battery. And nothing! I didn't have any issues before. I don't know if it is a issue with the jack where the power cord plugs in? Maybe issue with mother board itself! I've only had the system for over 3 years. Strange for it to have something like this to happen! Anyone else have this issue? What to do?

Got an old Precision M6500 dual core with a blown speaker. Can get a replacment board off ebay, but not sure how difficult it is to change. I lifted up the top plate and can see the speaker board, but don't see any screws on top to remove to get the board out.
Has anyone changed the speaker board and how hard is it.
Can't find anything on the net to help me.

Dell Inspiron N5110 running Windows 7.
When not in use I have to remove the battery or else the thing turns itself on within a few seconds of shutting down or just having the battery inserted.
It DOESN'T do this when the charger is connected to the laptop and mains electricity. If the charger is connected to the laptop but not to the mains then the laptop will also turn itself on.
Any bright ideas?
I have an out-of-warranty Dell 7520 that needs a replacement part. The part number on the 17R is CN-OWX67P-GSAD3. However, I can find no such part available anywhere. What I get is a replacement part for the 15R which is CN-OWX67P-GT074. I want to confirm that these two part are identical in their functionality. The part that needs replacing is part of the power supply for the laptop and I don't want to fry my motherboard with the wrong part.
Have 5755 and just upgraded to win 10. Now these function key don't work. I have been unable to ID any work around on this site. Please advise
