Good afternoon,
A couple of days ago, I tried to plug an external hard drive WD passport in my PC to put some stuff in it, but I couldn't find it in My Computer, though my PC detected it. So I went looking for solutions on the web, and I heard about a recovery tool whose name I forgot.
After using it, I have been asked to reboot the computer, which I have done, and since then, I was unable to boot the computer, I get the error message : "Reboot or select a proper boot device", so I assume I messed up with the recovery tool, and instead of choosing my external HD, I chose my main HD.
I tried using Disk Recovery and Partition Recovery with Ultimate Boot CD (I booted it via USB) but I got rewarded with another error message when I try to boot my computer, this time "Loading DRMK v8.00"
Just in case you might find it useful, I have 4 partitions on my disk:
- An unnamed 39mb partition, file system FAT, type Primary, status Active & Boot
- A RECOVERY 14.81 GB partition, file system NTFS, type Primary, status None
- An OS 470.04 GB partition file system NTFS, type Primary, status System
- A Local disk 445.62 GB partition, file system NTFS, type Logical, status None
PS: I have a Dell desk computer with Windows 10 which I got by upgrading from Windows 7 when I got the notification, so I don't have its reinstallation CD, not do I have the windows 7 one.
I am currently running a full scan with Partition Recovery Wizard (74%) and so far it found many NTFS BOOT deleted partitions.
Thank you for your time and for your answers !
