I have a Dell Latitude 13 (7350) and bought a battery for the keyboard. The battery does not fit because of the counterweight. However I have an additional 7350 (perhaps newer) that has a plastic piece instead of the counterweight that allows the battery to fit. I can't seem to find this part. Any suggestions on resources as I've seemingly combed the earth and have had no luck.

Tpm on Latitude E5470 locked out
Hi Guys,
It's my first post, i need help with a Latitude E5470, we got it with Windows 7 preinstalled, i load our Windows 10 corporate image on it and encripted using Bitlocker.
The problem is that the user forgot his Bitlocker PIN and locked the TPM, i got to Windows using the recovery key and decrypted the drive succesfully. Now, when i try to encrypt the drive i got the "The tpm on this computer is currently locked out" message.
I already upgraded the BIOS to versión 1.4.7, formatted the drive and loaded OS again, restored BIOS defaults/Factory settings, used PowerShell commands but all with no progression.

Dell Insprion 11 3162 Memory Upgrade
Bought a 11 3162 in Feb 2016, only has 2GB RAM, my bad, bought a 4GB card from Dell. Remove the case and battery, can't see any part remotely close to what they sent me. Any suggestions?

Dell Backup and Recovery; System Backup Settings
I curently don't use Dell Backup and Recovery, and I don't run any Dell startup items or automatic services. I also don't have the Recovery Partition in my current deployment. Because the partition is missing, Dell Bu & Rec takes a while to start if I click on the tile. When it does start, it offers to rebuild my recovery environment. It looks like in the System Backup settings, I see under more options the following: Instant Restore status (currently turned to on) and statuses for Overlay Icon and Context Menu.
Because I don't run startups or automatic services, and because my Recovery Partition is missing, I wonder if it will do anything at all to turn off Instant Restore, Overlay Icon, and Context Menu. I don't like launching Sys Bu & Rec, but will do so if you think that turning off Instant Restore, Overlay Icon, and Context Menu will shut off additional features.

How to reset to Factory Image Inspiron 15
I have a Inspiron 15 that is stuck in a restart loop. It starts and gets to the Windows login screen. This is Windows 10 and was upgraded from Windows 8 about 6 months ago. In about 15 seconds it restarts again. I would like to reload the OS and have connected an external HDD but the system does not see it when it boots.
Does anyone have any ideas?

No hard drive detected? Find a way to reboot my laptop please.
I need a solution not an opinion. I'm not buying a new hard drive.
My computer turned off today and when I rebooted it, it says "no Bootable devices" F1 to reboot, F2 for utility setup and F5 for diagnostics.
F1 brings me to the same page
F2 I changed some setting but nothing helped.
F5 Ran diagnostics and said "error code 0150" error code 2000-0150 no hard drive detected.
I Also got a suggestion from the computer to "reset harddrive" so I took the hard drive out and dusted inside and put it back inside and it did not work still.

DELL Inspiron 7559 Froze while Gaming, won't hard shutdown
While playing CS:GO, my laptop froze and won't shutdown with holding down the power button, had to open up the back panel and pull the battery connector to shut it down. This is the first time it happened, had the laptop since Feb.
Is it related to cpu temperature management? Ambient temperature in my room is kinda high lately would peak to 87 degrees C using HWMonitor from 80 normally.
Any feedback/replies to this post is pretty much appreciated! Just want to know what to avoid to keep it from happening again.

Lots of Stutters/Hiccups With Inspiron 13 (6th Gen i5)
Hello everybody.
I recently got a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series 2-in-1. I have one with a 256GB Sandisk Z400s SSD, 8GB of RAM, and a Skylake i5 CPU.
More often than I should be, I have issues with the full HD touchscreen.
1. After calibrating the screen multiple times, it is difficult to minimize, maximize, and close windows with the stylus. It's more easily done with my thumb, but sometimes I'd like to just use the stylus.
2. Sometimes when I try to close a window or resize it with the stylus, the window doesn't respond, and Windows changes the title/border of the window to say "(Program name) is not responding". I made sure to update the HID drivers from device manager to the latest version, and I ran Windows update and am-up-to-date. This really bothers me.
Besides those issues, the screen is fine. The issues above really bother me though, and I hope there is something I can do to fix them. Another problem I'm noticing is how long it can take for a file explorer window to open. If I have an SSD, I don't know why sometimes but it can take 3-10 seconds for my files to show up. The window will say "Working on it", and it may change to not responding even. I have a Kingston SSD in my desktop rig that I built myself, and on that system I only have this problem with my 1TB hard drive sometimes.
This is a great flagship device so far, but for a Skylake reboot with the latest software on it, I would think that things would be a bit smoother. Honestly, I really wanted to get the i7 model, but it was out of stock at work, and I wasn't about to spend the full price on it. I hope I don't have to return this model and actually get the i7.

Latitude E6410 & PRO4X docking station
I have a Dell E6410 running Win 7 Pro SP1, and the E Legacy Extender PRO4X. However, the laptop does not recognize the extender when they are connected. Is this a driver issue, laptop, or OS issue? Also, does Win 10 recognize this extender.
I also have a Dell E6400 running Win 7 Pro SP1, and it does recognize the extender.

Inspiron N5030 RAM Replacement - Help!!
I own a Dell Inspiron N5030 for the past four years and it had served me well. Few keys are damaged in my keyboard and I have ordered new keyboard through Amazon so that I can replace the damaged one with this, all by myself. While looking at "How To" videos, I also noticed that it is also easy to upgrade RAM. I currently have 2GB RAM in my system. But I don't know if it is in single slot or 1GB+1GB double slot. Also I am clueless on how to buy a compatible RAM. What should I be buying that is compatible with N5030? Is there a specific type or name that I use to search for the RAM? Like DDR3, DDR2, etc.. I have no clue what they mean. Please help me with this.

[^o)] I m going to buy Dell Alien ware 17 R3 17.3" Gaming Laptop Computer. It has Microsoft ttwhich I don't like. Is it possible to downgrade OS to Windows 7 or Dell does not allow to do that?

Precision 7510 - DISK raid option rom page not showing CTRL-I not working
Hi,
I have following setting for precision 7510:
1. one m.2 sata (NOT nvme) 128GB SSD + one 2.5'' sata 128GB SSD
2. SATA operation in BIOS set to "Raid on"
3. OROM keyboard access in BIOS set to "Enabled"
But I cannot see the Intel raid controller screen on startup. And CTRL-I has no effect. Cannot enter the raid option rom setup utility.
Is there anything else need to be done to get access to the Screen? My current bios is newest version 1.4.8, and I tried to downgrade to 1.3.12 and same result. The SSDs are empty, I just want to set the raid up before installing any os.

Downgraded Version Motherboard replaced during warranty
So just now i checked the motherboard revision and the graphics chip on it . Dell has replaced my motherboard with a older refurbished version even though their own bios update caused the damage to my motherboard.
It has a ATI 1 GB 5470 HD instead of the one that i was having before the replacement (ATI 550v 1GB)
which is better than 5470HD
Does dell always cheat like this if people are ignorant ..wow!

Vostro 3700 Chipset driver installation fails
I have a 6 year old Vostro 3700 notebook which I really like. Trying to update the software etc.
According to the Dell Web site's System Analysis, I need to update my Chipset and Intel Mgt engine.
My chipset is currently v.9.1.1.1022 and the most recent on the Dell site is v9.1.1.1023. I download and run the chipset driver installation - it appears to do things and claims to succeed. I reboot. After::
1. the System Analysis tool still claims I need to install the upgraded chipset driver.
2. Device Manager - System Devices - Intel HM57 express chipset LPC Interface Controller - 3B0B - driver version remains 9.1.1.1022
I called Dell support - since I am out of wty, the fellow told me to first try to install the Intel driver from Intel's site and then to call back to start a paid support call.
The Intel site appears to provide the driver. There are links for v9.1.1.1025 and v9.1.1.1030.

My concern is that the generic intel drivers may be missing some Dell-specific tweaks.
So has anybody had problems with updates failing from the Dell site and what to do about it?
