I bought a Dell Latitude D620 Laptop on EBAY. It came with XP installed and some software where I was able to log in before the Windows page. When Microsoft decided not to support XP anymore, I up graded to Windows 7. Microsoft decided to upgrade me to Windows 10, without my permission. Windows 10 corrupted my C drive. Now I want to go Back To Windows 7. I do not have XP disks and I have exhausted all of resouces. Can anybody help me?

Inspiron 5547 Will not get past Boot screen
Inspiron 5547 running Windows 10 will not get past the Boot screen (Dell circle with solid Blue Bar on bottom on black screen). Tried F2, F8, and F12...no luck. Fan spinning at high speed, but no progress after several power shut downs.

Repeated BSOD
I have a Dell Inspiron Core i5 7559 laptop, purchased Dec 15. For the past couple of months I’ve been getting a lot of BSOD. Several times the screen has blacked out and won’t respond and I have to power off. Decided to refresh Windows 10 but first made a recovery thumb drive. Refresh failed, another blue screen. Did a Win10 install using recovery thumb drive. I have updated all drivers/programs from both Dell and Microsoft, plus the BIOS. Screen print below of event log summary. Have performed diagnostics on the Dell site, and by pressing the F12 key at boot and performing diagnostics, everything passed.
Also, recently I discovered that if I unplug the power cord from the computer when it is running it will BlueScreen and reboot, message when this happens is Kernal_Security_Check_Failure.
Needless to say I need help.

Samsung Note 5 USB interface no longer working since Android System update
I recently updated my Galaxy Note 5 Android OS after doing so, I found that my Inspiron 5748 no longer connected to my Phone. I contacted Samsung who said that Dell needed to provide a Marshmallow update that I could download to correct this matter. I contacted tech support but they wanted me to pay for them to provide help with this problem. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Inspiron. I don't know what settings I screw up on but when i type I hear like a squishing sound on every so many letters i type.
I haven't figured out how to get rid of it.. i don't see anything I set in ease of access. it's making like s a squish sound every few letter i type. it doesn't do it like for every letter. it's not when i touch the mouse pad either. please give me some ideas on how this happened..??

Precision M6700 wireless switch settings and Windows 10
Hello, I took the plunge recently and updated my M6700 from Windows 7 Pro to 10 Pro. I think I finally have all the driver kinks worked out, but I have found out that Windows 10 seems to ignore the BIOS setting for the wireless switch on the side of the laptop. I have the BIOS set for the switch to only turn off WLAN and leave bluetooth on since I use a bluetooth mouse. Under Win 7 this work just fine, but under Win 10 it activates airplane mode and also disables the bluetooth radio. I cant find any setting to change this. Has anyone else run into this?

Battery issue (Charges for a while then says not charging)
I have dell inspiron n5110. I upgraded to windows 10 pro.... Everything was okay but since the past week it shows a battery issue. When I plug in the charger, the battery shows charging for like 5-6 seconds and then it shows not charging. I again pull out the charger from laptop and plug it again and the same happens. Nothing changes on moving the charger a bit here and there...... Only charges for 5-6 seconds when I plug it off and on.

New DELL XPS 13 Don't Buy - broken hinge - warning about repair
Having recently bought pretty much the most expensive XPS 13 you can buy I was pretty disappointed when I dropped in on the carpet (gently) and the hinge broke - stuff happens. It's my primary computer so I just want to get it fixed as quick as possible - money is not really an issue.
After paying $300 for the repair I now find out, after over a week, that it's going to take ANOTHER 7 - 14 working days to fix it.
That's totally unacceptable for me and, despite being a loyal DELL business customer for over 15 years that's the last one I will buy. How DELL think that 3 - 4 week turnaround on a PAID repair for a computer under warranty is acceptable I don't know.

Dell Inspiron 7559 m 2 SSD upgrade failed / not recognized
Hello,
Recently I bought the Dell Inspiron 7559 (gaming one).
It has the option to add a SSD drive. I bought a m.2 SSD 256gb drive from Plextor.
See link for the version. The BIOS and Windows both don't recognize the SSD.
I have put it in and out several times. Updated BIOS / Resetted BIOS. It just won't recognize it.
Do I have to tweak any settings in BIOS for the SSD slot to "activate"?
I thought this was a plug and play thing. How can I get this to work?
Note: I also have my HDD still plugged cuz it has everything on it (windows etc).
I want to convert windows to the SSD if it CONNECTS EVER.

Does anyone know where I can download the drives for the Broadcom USH and Broadcom USH w/swipe sensor? I have spent a full day looking and no success and need some help.

Error using Dell USB recovery media to install Win 8 on new SSD
I am replacing the 500 Gb HDD on my daughter's Inspiron 11 3147 laptop (bought Dec 2014) wit a comparable sized SSD. Dell sent me USB factory image recovery media that I have used successfully previously to reinstall onto the HDD, so I know it works with the original drive. But when I use it to try to install Windows 8.1 onto the new system, it fails. Boots into the Smart Restore, no other option. The drive passes the initial diagnostics, I skip it trying to recover user files (the SSD drive is blank) and gives me error message:
Could not read Operating System image
I tried using a couple of different methods before now:
Used Acronix Truedrive to clone the HDD onto the SSD - did not work
Tried using Dell's Backup/Restore tile/app in Windows 10 - that also failed.
Went into Setup, turned off UEFI SecureBoot; still fails.
Booted into Diagnostics, ran that, the drive passed (as did everything else).
Don't know what else to try - maybe reformat the SSD to wipe out anything on it from prior attempts with the other methods? If so, how?

Successful 32gb ram in XPS 9530?
I'm trying to push the limits on my XPS 9530. I found a Crucial 32GB ram Kit on Amazon (CT2KIT204864BF160B), all of the specs for this ram kit seem to match the ram specs for the Dell XPS 9530 (minus the fact that its a 32gb kit and not a 16gb ram kit). However, I was unable to get the XPS to boot with this kit.
Oddly enough, it wouldn't even boot with a single stick and if I put the Dell branded ram in Dimm A, and a Crucial stick in Dimm B, the system would boot but only see 8gb of ram.
Either Dell has some hardware setting in the bios that is blocking "unauthorized ram" or I just need to find a different kit.
Though not specific to my model, Dell's website does list a 16gb ram stick with the same ram specs my XPS 9530 uses. The stick is from VisionTek (B01BKFYL3K) and it is next on my radar.
However, i'm curious if anyone else has attempted to push the boundaries on their laptop and perhaps have a part number they can share OR if you tried a different kit with no luck, that can be useful too. Will save me time and effort from ordering a dud kit.

How to uninstall Bluetooth adaptor w/o physically removing it
Have Latitude E8510 with Dell Bluetooth adapter want to install USB Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy adapter.. Went to Device Manager and uninstalled it. Install software for USB Bluetooth adapter, the problem is when I boot the system reinstalls the internal Bluetooth adapter. How can I prevent this?

M17 x R3 verses window 10
I have an issue with windows 10. I loaded windows 10 before reading the Alienware advise that it wasn't compatible with the version of computer that I have and now window 7 that I had before isn't anywhere to be found on my computer due to me trying to get back to it and reinstating windows 10 instead which cleaned out all the programs it didn't like. I need a boot disk for windows 7 and for Alienware's running system as windows 10 didn't like that either. It seems that without a warranty alienware doesn't care about its older systems that aren't compatible with windows 10. Can anyone help? I have tried to reboot but window 10 is the only option.

Dell digital Delivery
So I just rebooted my hard drive, operating systems and everything else. I am trying to download the software that came with computer, mainly photoshop elements. Dell Digital delivery is not showing any software when I start that program, and I cannot get past the my downloads registration page either. How do I access the software and complete the download. I have the latest version of IE and nothing will work. Can I get the original product gen key from dell and just download the software from adobe? Please help as I see some similar threads and folks are having issues. Thanks
