Hello! The other day i was attempting to uninstall a unwanted app however accidentally uninstalled the Realtek USB 2.0 Card reader. I don't know the importance of this program or whether it actually came on the computer. Would you be able to tell me this? If it is necessary is there any way for me to reinstall it? My computer is a Inspiron 15z Ultrabook. I'm sorry if this isn't in the proper forum, but any help would be appreciated! Thank you :)

Does anyone know were I can find a schematic diagram for a dell inspiron 1100. I have 2 dell inspiron 1100's 1 with a video problem and 1 with a problem of working on the ac power pack or charging the battery. It will run with a fully charged battery but I have to charge the battery in the 1100 that has the video problem. I can fix the charging problem if I can find a schematic diagram.

Dell Inspiron 15R N5010 laptop; new AC adapter, but now computer won't turn on. battery issue?
So I recently purchased a new AC adapter for my 2 year old laptop since the previous one would not charge the battery b/c of a damaged cord. Well, the new adapter worked great for a week, but tonight the laptop all of a sudden won't turn on! The green light on the AC adapter is on (not blinking) when plugged into the outlet. I removed the battery and cleaned off any dust particles on the inside. I even help down the power button for 20 seconds with the battery in and 5 seconds with the battery out. The laptop will not turn on with the battery out, but the AC adapter plugged into the laptop. The best result I can get at this point is the power lights on the front edge of the laptop and the screen turning on for a couple seconds while I hold down the power button. As soon as I take my finger off the power button it shuts down. If I keep the finger on the power button it will still shut down after a few seconds. The monitor screen never shows a anything other than the black screen, but you can tell that laptop powers on very briefly while the power button is held down.
Do I now have a battery issue? Do I have to drop more money on this laptop? Do I have to buy a battery from Dell? Can I purchase one somewhere else for less? It seems like if I do need a new one then I should buy the 9 cell.
Please advise.

i have recently bought 15R 5521 but the driver for touch pad and shortcuts key (wifi, brightness, touchpad disable) doesnot work. And the fan is also making a kind of loud noise than my previous laptop vostro. please help with both the problems.

What does lid closing do?
HI,
I have set up my Inspiron 3521 to high performance power plan. I adjusted it so it never goes to sleep or hibernation, it has wireless and processor set to maximum performance.
When I close the lid it drops processor and wireless power drastically. It needs about 10 times more to process something with lid closed, and internet connection slows a lot.
Is it somehow hardwired setting because of the heat that can not go through top of the laptop?
Can I turn this off?

I've tried to install wireless+Bluetooth driver, but it does not start install shield wizard, but vanishes. I've tried older versions too, with the same problem, I can't install wireless on the laptop - my operating system is win8 64 bit

Power button of laptop not working properly.

Lost Dell Factory image following Hard Drive replacement
Hi All,
I recently experienced problems with my Dell Inspiron n5110 and returned it to Currys for their KnowHow guys to fix. They have now returned me a 'working' laptop with new Motherboard and new Hard Drive, it has Windows 7 loaded but nothing else, especially the Dell Software I used all the time. The new hard drive does not have the recovery partition either. How do I get the Dell Software back?

The warranty of my dell laptop with Service Tag # HL****1 i.e an Inspiron 5520 laptop is not updated in the website yet !!
The laptop was directly purchased from Dell through telephonic order and was purchased with 2years Complete Cover Warranty but in the dell website . It is not displayed correctly ... I've the invoice with me and the invoice also states that its a 2Year Complete Cover Warranty but in the website it is not updated correctly yet ...

N7110 RAM slot issues
Hello,
Last night my computer would not boot up, it was beeping 3 times. After some searching i found this to be a Motherboard or Chip set failure. After i had disassembled, inspected, and re-assembled i had the same issue. When I tried to start it this morning it was now beeping 4 times indicating a RAM issue. I removed one of the RAM sticks and the computer is now functioning.
The computer came with 6GB of RAM, 4GB and 2GB sticks. If i install either stick in the bottom slot the computer will boot normally, if i install any of the 2 in the top slot the computer will beep 4 times and not startup.
Question is, can i put in a 8GB stick in the one slot? Or am i stuck with just a max of 4GB now? Or is there an easy fix for the top slot without replacing the Motherboard?
