Dell XPS 13 (9333) i7 replacement battery and fan

Can anyone tell me where to find an OEM replacement battery for the i7 9333. I've ordered 3 different  C4K9V's (at least claimed to be) from various `sellers' online and all three of them have been Y9N00's which are the 47wH batteries for the XPS 12's.

So far none have worked, and none have been legit C4K9V's so my question again is where to find this battery?

The cooling fan is another headache. I've been linked to a few different pages. I've ordered a fan and of course it's not right.

The fan I need is a 008X6N, the others I've been pointed at have been 046V55's and they will not work.

I've tried getting through to dell, but have since given up on reaching anyone with any idea where to get these parts. This laptop is just a few years old and was reasonably pricey when I bought it. I find it completely ridiculous that finding a replacement fan and battery has become a huge undertaking.

First tech support (out source) can't answer questions about "batteries" problems.

Many people report these problems here. When the problem seems just to discharge the laptop from energy built up solves the battery problem. In some other cases  I have found no answer to work except pointing to the motherboard.

Last I used the laptop (3 months ago) there was no problem with the battery. The meter in the back show as fully charged. I used the ac adapter from another laptop just in case.

And now the orange light started blinking. I took a peek at the BIOS and it appeared that it was charging. Meter in the back of battery still show all the lights. I turn the pc on and windows was using the battery very fast and it shutdown down. I turned it on to the BIOS and show 3%. no AC. waited to have the pc shutdown but it remain at 3%. Windows with the adapter will show 3% and not charging. Disconnect the AC and windows went off.

Use a live Linux bootable USB and started pc with battery. Used for about 5 minutes, no problem. All this time orange light blinking. Exit from Linux went to BIOS and shows 3% but now with a message battery critical low. Took battery out place it again, went to BIOS, now is discharging shows 0% but it doesn't shutdown. Since the battery is good, i know because i open case remove batteries, tested with multimeter, Ok.

Assemble battery put it back pc still turns on. It seems that the charging circuit is bad or the board inside the battery is defective.

P.S. the other laptop inspiron 1440 shows similar problems. And trying to update BIOS doesn't work, utility can't read the battery.

This very bad from dell. They should have made BIOS software not to depend upon the battery and to boot from USB or CD/DVD and this is not my first case i have encounter.

Yes,this machie never got used before.  ok, this is the 4th laptop this has happened.   I need a machine that I can rely on, not spend all my time or money to keep it operating at a minimal level.   was the manufacturing process on these so weak that if you move these machines too much that contact points fail?  my customers have more reliable hardware than I do.  I just set this up and didnt use it for a few days then tried to turn it on and it refused to post.  after several tries, the beeps started.  it looks like im not the only one.  many, many have this same issue.  whats the best course of action at no cost to me to fix this?  this cant be acceptable can it Dell?

Inspiron 15R SE 7520 Windows 10 Battery Drain Issue

Ever since installing Windows 10 my battery has been draining extremely fast. I might get about 45 minutes at 10% brightness, which is less than half of what I was getting prior to installing Windows 10. Having looked around for solutions, the common problem seems to be the battery draining while the laptop is off. I don't have this issue. I tried some of those solutions anyway - updating the Intel Rapid Storage driver and downgrading the Intel Management Engine driver - but nothing has worked.

Has anyone got an idea of how to solve this issue?

I can not bring it back. It claims nothing is there for backup. How can I get a copy of the Original files? When I purchased it, or can I ? PLEASE LET ME KNOW?

What where and why is my Dell laptop turning itself on?

I have been struggling trying to to a HD to SSD upgrade, no one can answer my questions and it appears most who report successful are actually incomplete, but that is for a diff discussion. Yesterday I left my 7548 Dell latitude laptop open with out any hard drive, no power cord and turned off. I just found it ON complaining about no hd. Why did it turn itself on and for what purpose? If it was trying to phone home, exactly when and where did I grant this permission (bought at a big box store). Exactly what information was to going to give to Dell? I did find and remove many of the "utilities" pre-installed on this system which later turned out to compromise security, but I want to know where/how can I disable this function that invades my privacy and drains my battery. Remember this HAS to be in the UEFI bios because there WAS NO HD installed.

On the old unresolved clone issue. If you have done a successful HD to SSD clone under Win10, in your devices section of Win10, does it list your SSD or your old HD as the storage device? If it still lists your previous HD, well while it may seem work, no guarantees that it will always work correctly and it could possibly significantly reduce the lifetime of you SSD.

Dell Inspiron 15 (3521) Corner Suddenly Dim

Yesterday I was using my laptop, everything was fine until I adjusted the lid just a little bit. Suddenly the right bottom corner became very dim, almost so dim that I can't see anything in that area, and the rest of the bottom of the screen up to about the middle became slightly dimmer as well. If I let my computer sleep for awhile and then open it again, it goes away, but the second I adjust the lid even the tiniest bit it comes back. Is this an issue with the screen itself or is it something with the OS?

USB device error code 10

Hello,

I am trying to read data off some old SCSI hard drives before disposing of them using an Adaptec USB to SCSI adapter attached to equally old Dell XPS 1730 laptop running Windows XP SP3.  This is the last version of Windows the adspter would support.  While attempting to install the adapter, I get an error code 10, this device cannot start.

I checked with Adaptec and tried their solution of shutting down unneeded devices to no avail.  I then uninstalled all USB devices, rebooted and let Windows install the drivers again.  When I installed the Adaptec device, I was able to get the SCSI interface to work for several minutes before I lose the connection due to the same error.

I have switched USB connections and get the same error.

I am considering reflashing the bios and reinstalling the OS.

Does anyone have an idea how to diagnose or fix the problem?

I will about getting another computer to test this device on.

Would like to connect a hand held mobile device that requires Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) to my Dell, Latitude E6510.  Therefore I inserted a Targus, Bluetooth 4.o Dual-mode Micro USB Adapter and installed software.  Thought the same procedure worked on another notebook the attempt failed on E6510.  I wonder why.

HDD not working and computer won't boot? Error 2000-0142?

My computer model is a Dell Inspiron 13 7348. Everytime I start it up it begins to tell me "No Bootable Devices - strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility, press F5 to run onboard diagnostics" My first attempt to fix this was to remove the hard drive and put it back. This didn't work, so I pressed F5 to check the diagnostics tool and every device of my computer is checked off except the hard drive which has a big red "X" and also when I go to press F2 to go to the setup utility, my hard drive actually is listed on it when it is connected to the motherboard, when I disconnected the HDD it just said [Not Detected]. So that means that it DOES detect the hard drive but there's a problem. What could be wrong? Do I need a new one?

Precision Dell 7710 dead

I was wondering, if I have an isolated case of a complete failure of my Dell precision 7710.

Today, I simply tried to turn the computer. Nothing.

Ok, I was in battery, plug the AC/DC adapter... nothing. Check the DC output  18.7, a little high, but ok. Use another AC/DC adapter for M6400, same output... nothing. Remove the battery and discharge the possible static in the capacitors... then try with AC/DC adapter only... nothing. Put everything as it was with the adapter and battery... nothing. Change the ram from one slot to other... nothing.

I tried all conventional wisdom for this issues. I just need to fully disassemble the computer and test motherboard components, but I am leaving this for DELL technical support...  Because, I should be in guarantee... The hardware is under less than 4 months new. A real piece of ***.

No video, beeping, Insp 7520 (15R SE) recommendations?

Hello.

I have an Insprion 7520 (15R SE) that is out of warranty. Has served me well for nearly 4 years now, no major issues, no recent hardware/software updates.  Occassionally I would get a random blue screen when reading from the SD card but it was inconsistent and always recoverable.

Last week I got a blue screen and haven't been able to recover. Machine is giving a singular beep, and there is no video being output to the local LCD or the external monitor typically connected.

This particular machine was fitted standard intel HD video as well as an additional video card. Default video was set to the video card (not on-board video).

I understand the the singular beep is usually indicative of a motherboard failure or BIOS issue, but I've also read some anecdotal stories that related this issue to a problem with the external graphics card, but the system wasn't defaulting back to the on-board video.

Any recommendations on additional troubleshooting? Is there a method for resetting BIOS to factory default (there is no BIOS PW to worry about)?

NB: the beeping I'm hearing is identical to that found in this Youtube clip (different model, same beeping) www.youtube.com/watch
