Our laptop ( Service Tag:- <Admin Note: removed per privacy policy~RK>, Model :- Inspiron N5110, Express Service Code:- <Admin Note: removed per privacy policy~RK>) was originally bought from U.S.A.by my sister Mrs. Bhavna Punatar and gifted to me in April 2012. After around one year and two months, all of sudden the laptop has stopped working..
We contacted Dell India and as per their instruction we made payment of Rs. 10,000 for on-site repairs in India since it was not economically feasible to send the laptop back to USA. We applied for the one time repair service on 26th June 2013 and since then, Dell India have sent their engineers for five times to fix the glitches, but till date, after numerous repeated attempts, all went in vain. We are getting constant follow ups from Dell that it will be repaired in the next attempt, but now we have lost hope. Practically, they have changed all the original parts of our model on a trial and error basis and now we do not even have an idea which parts are original. Therefore we have requested them for replacement of the laptop, but we are not getting any positive reply from them.
It is nearly 7 weeks since the problem occurred and we are facing tremendous loss on business and my daughter's studies which is affecting our day to day operations.
We never expected that a reputed company like Dell having international operations and a large presence in India would fail in giving a proper solution to this problem. It is a limit to our patience and Dell is taking undue advantage of this situation.
We therefore request that a proper action is taken at senior level and our request for replacement is approved.
